I had stayed in a tented camp before and vowed I would never do so again - even though the last one was also luxury accommodation (glamping!) Lion Safari Camp was excellent. The rooms were lovely - although, as with so much of India we had to ask several times for the to come and spray the rooms for mosquitoes!...

6 of us were at your Sasan Gir facility from 8 to 10 Feb. Overall it was a reasonably acceptable experience until our dinner on the night of the 9th. We were the only guests on the property. We had vegetarian food but something was not right. All 6 of us were vomiting from midnight onwards. It went on for...

Do not be put off by the tents. These have bricked walls with all the basics inside each tent [electricity, air-conditioning, toilet and shower]. The beds were clean and comfortable and the only thing to disturb our sleep was the noise from the air-conditioning in the adjoining tent [which was unnecessary since the nights were quite cool]. Meals were served...

We had a very comfortable tent at the rear of the site. Nicely furnished with an adequate bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good and more than adequate. The pick up for the safari was excellent (we did not pay extra other than tips as it had all been prearranged from London). We were lucky to...

i checked in on 27th jan 2017 with my family of 6 and checked in at Room no 7,8,9. For my fellow travellers , i must say these rooms are the best in the vicinity and one must really be lucky to have been accomodated here. As i checked in , Mr Amin ( Seemed to be the Manager )...

The tented safari camp was better than I expected. The tents are large and reasonably furnished. The bathroom is large and well set up. Tents were quite chilly overnight (mid January) but extra blankets were available. Food at the restaurant was good (Indian) and the staff were friendly. We did a 'nature walk'- just a walk across the river, where...

We booked safari online. Jeep was booked separately. And had to shell out extra bucks to see lions. But was a good experience. It is 3 hrs safari. Still chances of spotting lion is less. If uou give money to trackers they will bring lions out of deep jungle so that you can see them.

Stayed here for 2nights including NYE 2016. The property is right inside the jungle and you need to travel 2-3KM off-road to reach there. However, it is exciting and normal sedans can go at slow speed. The property is well maintained and they have around 20 tents. The pathways, recreation room , restaurant all very well managed and maintained. The...

The idea behind this resort of luxury African style safari tents is good, but is not quite achieved. The location is lovely on the river bank amongst a mango orchard. However, we found the tents and the camp in general to be in need of updating and refurbishment, as the tents particularly were shabby. The way the tents are arranged...

Our stay at the Lion Safari Camp was the highlight of our trip in India. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and offered great service. Staff (in particular the naturalist at the camp) went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay! The food was fantastic. The entertainment on our final night was also great! The rooms...
