This has to be the coolest city hotel in India. It works on so many levels. Not just what you see (it's gorgeous), but, conservation, local employment, farm-to-table, organic products, home-made cosmetics, delicious food, phenomenal service, eco friendly practices etc etc. Conceptually and philosophically it is extremely sound. tasteful restoration - great Indian fare at the restaurants. Went with the...

Visited the hotel with family of 7 from 11th August to 15th August 2016. The hotel preserves the heritage of the haveli from the bygone era and has been renovated with thought keeping this in mind. The rooms are huge when compared to modern standards with all amenities The restaurant Green House serves Gujarati and North Indian Vegetarian dishes and...

I stayed here for two nights before venturing further into Gujarat, and this hotel proved to be a great choice. Welcoming and helpful staff, clean rooms, 2 restaurants, indoor pool and walking or day tours organised from the hotel made for a vey relaxing stay. There are two buildings merged together, one with a more modern refurbished wing, and the...

The hotel is amazing with beautiful architecture, rooms and ambiance. The staff is very hospitable - ever ready and smiling. Wifi speed was not bad and the pool was well maintained. Food was great. For those who are used to non vegetarian and spicy food, spending more than 3 days might be a little tiring. Alcohol of no sort is...

Plus points, 1. location:centrally located 2. Affordable: at least for me when I booked 3. Food: high quality (but not cheap)...

A beautiful old bunglow now converted into a heritage hotel. What we see is a semblance of intermingling of the old and the new. An extremely clean and well maintained place. The open air restaurant on the ground floor serves various north indian, south indian and gujarati cusines, where as agashiye serves pure and authentic gujarati food. Plus there is...

A nice place for a coffee. Clean and welcoming. The owner is personable and very proud of his hotel. I wasn't staying at the hotel, so I can only comment on the fresh air coffee shop. It is very conveniently located if walking through the old walled city.

We felt truly welcomed at this grand residence of a rich merchant of a by gone era, right in the middle of the old city of Ahamedabhad. The charm, courtesy and smiles of the staff provided the essence of the culture, values and beliefs of Gujarat in a nutshell to a foreign traveller. The rooms are different, comfortable, grand and...

The House of MG, as it is known in A'bad, is one of the nicest places I have been in India. Finally not a global five stars, but a magnificent old home restored with the utmost attention to details, yet retaining that atmosphere of lost times. The restaurant on the magnificent rooftop is outstanding Thali food, for an extremely reasonable...
