We were looking for a small private property in Goa and stumbled upon Marbella Guest House on Trip Advisor. After reading various reports decided to "take the plunge" and book. We were more than pleasantly surprised when we checked in and saw the beautiful Penthouse Suite where we spent 10 lovely nights. Being 71 and 76 respectively we were a bit concerned about the stairs leading to the suite, but quickly discovered they were "easy stairs" which caused us no concern. The Penthouse Suite is excellent, very private and with a lovely big patio where we spent hours watching the birds. The bedroom is airconditioned, but the lounge room isn't. Ceiling fans in all rooms. Breakfast is al la carte, with a great selection for all tastes, and the snacks and dinner choices are excellent. Their wonderful Chef is a real asset to Marbella. He really enjoys cooking, and can thoroughly recommend any dish he prepares. He loves cooking and will basically cook "to order". Could not fault any of the staff, they were all efficient, friendly and full of information and tips. No telephone in rooms which is fine, but means if you need to communicate with the "front office" you had to either use your own phone and whatsapp them, or go down to reception. We were very happy with our choice and will definitely be returning next year for anther "dose of Marbella".

Have known & stayed at this property since 2004. It is one of the special places in the whole of Goa & has always been at the top of the Lonely Planet guide for many years. The staff are the same & they go to a lot of trouble to make your stay comfortable. It is a down to earth Bed & breakfast with lots of character; something you will not find at a 5 star hotel. The lovely, food is all home made & they will make every. Also, for the price, it is a bargain.

We had stayed in this property with a group of friends, taken the penthouse room of top which accommodates 3 people at the least. The staff was really courteous and friendly. Every morning we had feta olive cheese eggs which were delicious. Most of the veggies are grown in the property itself. Very centrally located right next to Fort Aguada. Would like to stay here again.

Marbella Guest House is one of the most comfortable hotels I have stayed in. The architecture and the ambience is very English. The warmth of the staff and especially their manager Sajjan was incredible. It's very affordable and we'll connected as well. It's best if u r going with ur special someone as the ambience is very romantic.

I stayed for a week at the Marbella Guesthouse and the hospitality was excellent. Delicious food on demand; courteous staff; excellent service; all in beautiful, stylish surroundings, a five minute walk from the beach. Wonderful - I will return. Certainly value for money and very classy to boot.
