The prices have doubled from the latest lonely planet edition (700Rps for a double wih fan instead of 400 Rps), the fan was way too small and we had a huge cockroach in our room. Staff was pretty unhelpfull and impolite towards us. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, good juices, ok food and the location is of coourse great.

solo female traveler. stayed for 2 nights at the end of January 2016 pros: *location: there are not many foreign tourist/traveler/backpacker hangouts in Port Blair. the rooftop restaurant above hotel lalaji bayview was the only place i found. it made staying in a room in the lower floors a super bonus. as a solo female traveler it was great to... I really don't understand why this place is so famous on Lonely Planet. Ok, the restaurant is really nice, the food is good, the principal waiter is fun and kind, even though little careless. And you have to wait 1h and more for the smallest thing like a tea, so be ready for that. The wifi is not bad, but... More

The rudest staff, actually hated having to talk to them because they were so blunt and dismissive. Nice food, room alrite although there were bed bugs. Good location for a stopover on way to other islands.

we were here for a night before going to havelock. The rooms are small but clean and decent for 1 night with attached bathrooms but the roof top restaurant has good food ,perfect ambiance and comfortable sit down area were one can share there travel experience with other travellers. Hope to stay again when we are back in the islands.

I really liked to hang out in the rooftop restaurant and to chat with some other travellers. The food was okay, a little bit pricey though, service was very very very slow. The owner was always a little bit weird, but seemed to be friendly. The very last night I was staying in this hotel, he asked me for having... More

A note of caution - Bedbugs were noted in my room following an early morning departure. From past experience these critters are notorious difficult to eradicate if brought back to your home, and they'll make your life a misery until they've all been successfully killed - in my case it took over 6 weeks after employing the use of a... We stayed here on two occasions, one night on our way to Havelock and two nights before our flight back to the mainland. Friendly manager, good location, ok rooms (we had room 111 with a/c) although mind you, the bathrooms have no ventilation which is a recipe for mold in the long run. We did find the odd cockroach in... More
