Yes we are Spoiled with all the 5 star resorts we visited. But this is Gambia and with such a low price for the whole trip one must not expect to much. The rooms are simple but clean. there is a nice pool and a good terrace for eating and chilling. The staff is very friendly and will do there best to make you're staying a pleasant one. The breakfast is a little to simple, but if you ask they make you a nice omelet. same with the dinner not to much choise and no desert? just ask and chef will make something nice for you. the last day he made warm Apple Flaps with apple and cinemon and they were amazing. Compliments to the cheff!! o and very good WIFI

This hotel has improved. Perfect Wifi, nice and helpfull staff, clean rooms. There are several buildings on the premisis. Building F is the oldest and should be avoided, the other buildings are renovated. I was in januari, the swimming pool is clean, but bar service and restaurant is limited. I prefered to go to the beach. Breakfast is OK for gambian standards, but don't leave your table alone or the brirds will have your breakfast. Be careful with the taxi's outside. The try to rip you. better walk to the main street and catch a local one. Never leave without agreement in price.
I stayed at Mansea Beach Hotel for two weeks. My major complaint was when I went to the nail parlor at the hotel. I had shellac gel on my nails and the nail technician Sonja insisted on peeling the peel off. Peeling the gel results in the top layer of ones' nails been damaged. I asked her if she had experience with working with Shellac gel and she confidently said yes. Shellac needs to be soaked for about 10-15 minutes in acetone and the nail polish simply comes. I am very disappointed that she refused to listen to me resulting in my nails been damaged. My advise is avoid the nail parlor no matter how desperate you get. The road leading to the hotel is a bumpy dust road, so the ride to and from the hotel is not smooth at all. On a more positive note, the front desk staff are super helpful, friendly and ensure you always feel at home.…
We were at the hotel last Christmas and yes, it's cheap and cheerful but no complaints from us. Great little bar, breakfast acceptable, staff extremely friendly, a pool man who is very proud of his pool and entertainment most nights. King Karl - one of the 'rasta' drivers from outside the hotel, took us wherever we wanted - at a reasonable price and we are still in touch with him. I recommend using the drivers outside the hotel as one of them will be your driver for your stay and will treat you like family. Location is great - near to (can walk it) yet far enough away from - the main strip. 5 minutes walk to the beach; it is dark at night though so use your phone torch! We enjoyed it so much we are returning this Christmas and we can't wait.
