Unfortunately we arrived unwell at the resort..This meant we were practically bed bound for the first few days....The additional flight time for refueling both ways also left it's mark on us in the cramped cabin space.....We were in the block on the third floor originally and Pa the wonderful Room manager spotted me laying unwell in reception and kindly offered...

The maids are getting paid basically for just tidying beds. The food was disgusting and so was the drinks on all inclusive, the beer was like drinking fizzy water. The security followed me one night and tried to demand money off me, the same person tried to grab my friend and kiss her. The maids also stole several things out...

I have just recently returned home from a 7 night stay here. Having previously stayed here in 1993 I was surprised to notice that the hotel is relatively the same. The description offered by Thomas Cook is simply not true and could be construed as misleading. Although the hotel is reasonably clean with a nice pool area and friendly staff...

The Hotel is known locally as the 'Palma rip off' and its no wonder. The prices of the food in the hotel are way above average for very average food. Luckily I was B&B and ate elsewhere for dinner. This is a very basic hotel and extras such as air con, safety deposit box and fridge are all extra charges...

And Thomas Cook the main supplier of newer visitors should really make that clear. We heard about the missing luggage story also....not great when you only there ten days. UK needs a tour operator ombudsman. Second time travellers might be looking at flight only and pensions or compound houses and there are a lot about. Acceptable breakfast, good pool and...

We flew out on Christmas Day, for our first experience of The Gambia. After reading plenty of reviews, we weren't quite sure what to expect!! The Gambia is like marmite ( like it or not like it?? ) First of all Thomas cook airlines should be embarrassed about the quality and service of their airline service on this day, as...

This hotel is rated by Tjareborg Finland as 3 stars and really wondering why, since the standard is very low. We travelled with 3 small children and were given 3 separate rooms, with no connection between any of them, so we ended up by paying one room for nothing, since we could not let children sleeping alone. On the other...

On arrival at the hotel, the first thing you notice as someone who has not been to the Gambia before, is the friendliness of the people! It would seem that they can't do enough to help you settle in your stay. The room was perfunctory, it did what it needed to in as much as it had a bed, and...
