Our first time in Gambia, so was not sure what to expect. Absolutely loved it. The hotel is basic but our room was spot on. We argued for our upgrade which we had asked for and glad we did. We ended up with a ground floor apartment with plenty of room, so if the hotel do not give you the...

To put into context this is our 4th visit to Gambia and the 3rd different hotel in the Kololi area. First impressions were not great. We had asked for a room on a high floor and in a quiet area-we were put in a bungalow quartet which were next to the pool and bar! We were in a superior/deluxe room...

We went to this hotel from the 30th of november for a week and can't fault it. Lovely friendly hotel staff. Good location. Only a five minute walk to the beach. Lots of lovely resturants near by. I advise the poca loca beach bar. Its fab! Also if you are looking for a decent tour guide there is a local...

We returned home just before Christmas after spending 2 weeks at this hotel. We were a bit concerned having never been to The Gambia before however this lovely hotel helped put our worries aside. First off it is pronounced, 'jellybah'. The hotel is comfortable and clean, the staff friendly and helpful, the food is good and the beer always chilled....

We have just returned from a week at this hotel and as the title of this says "its ok", a quick check in at reception and quickly shown to our room. The room was very basic but wasn't expecting anything different really, it was cleaned everyday and the towels changed daily, it could really have done with a good makeover...

Our 1st time in Gambia and we absolutely loved it, the djeliba a is a wonderful base to stay 5 mins to the beach through sister hotel djembe and 10 mins walk or 100 dalasi in a taxi to the Senegambia strip. Hotel is immaculately clean and the staff are genuinely very hospitable and friendly. Poco loco is 2 mins...

Back to the Djeliba for our second time, we received a great welcome which made us feel good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay again. Can't fault the hotel. The room was cleaned and towels replaced every day. We upgraded to a room with a balcony overlooking the road as we like to watch the people strolling up and down the...
