I can not speak french, and that is a problem with this place, since the staff does not want to speak english. However, this is not a big deal, I had a lovely time anyway!
The days are filled with excursions, either by truck or boat, it´s breakfast at 8, and departure at 9 and then lunch on the road and then drop off back at pension at 3 in the afternoon. Every day. It really is a working holiday, non stop schedule and not much time on your own. Now, of course, you CAN stay behind at the pension and they will take care of your lunch with a sandwich or some pasta, all very nice and adequate.
Room: Beds lacking the soft mattress on top of box springs, so I had to make my own bed to make it sleepable. Bungalows big and airy, bathroom only cold water and low pressure in shower, but the lagoon is very close and very nice.
Lots of mosquitoes. Lots.
I would recommend this pension to anyone looking to experience all that Mataiva has to offer, especially to families with kids...
