I just left the little paradise at Naveria Heights. Sharon and her team made my stay absolut great. From breakfast to dinner; from tours to massage everything was just amazing. The view you have from the lodge is absolute stunning so that you never want to leave again. Thank you so much Sharon!
The real stand out to me was the breath taking view, wonderful staff, Sarita and the caring owner Sharon who gives special attention to the guests. The breakfast served is ¹healthy and delicious. The room is lovely and comfortable with bedding absolutely comfortable. Overall, I loved my stay at Naveria Heights and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Savusavu. Thank you for such a caring service 😊😊
I went with my boyfriend and have a lovely stay up the heights. The room was so unique and had an outdoor shower, and for dinner we had plenty of options from seafood to tradition korean food. The view is amazing along with the staff, we were taken along a nature hike with a beautiful view the whole way. In the morning we had fresh coffee and a healthy and delicious fruit salad. This was preferred over a resort as it shows us more of the nature in savu savu. The second day of our stay we were taken to a waterfall that was secluded and we had it all to ourselves, while we were there we had a lunch provided by the staff. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nature/detox retreat and is searching for the local parts of the island. I have read the reviews on the road leading to the lodge, this did not seem to be a problem for us as there was multiple taxis that would take us back up to the lodge. My boyfriend and I came to enjoy the hike as we like fitness and get to look at the scenery on the way.…
Really disappointed with our stay here. We booked it based on the views and the wonderful reviews online, but sadly our experience was nothing like what was described on their website or in the online reviews. The owner was overseas during our stay which is likely the reason for our poor experience, but is not an excuse. We ended up cutting our stay short and moving to a resort at considerable expense The good: the view. It really is as gorgeous as it looks. Our host Sarita was absolutely lovely as well. We went on a big fishing trip and brought back a big mahi mahi which she organised to be cleaned and cooked up into a delicious fish curry. Breakfast was lovely The bad: literally everything else We were promised free airport transfers, and confirmed our flight details several times, but no-one was waiting for us at the airport. We called the accommodation and eventually this taxi turned up, but there was no way this car could ever get up the driveway (more on that later), so further phone calls ensued until a friend/relative of the taxi driver turned up in a 4wd ute, and demanded $50 to take us to the lodge (only a 5min drive away) - highway robbery but we had literally no other option The driveway is absolutely horrendous. They're not kidding when they say it's only accessible by 4wd, and that's a real 4wd with low range gears, and even then the wheels slip. Driving up and down it was bad enough, we also walked down once which was extremely sketchy and not something we ever want to do ever again With the owner away there was no in-house transport, so our only option was so me random local drivers the hosts would call who demanded $20 each way , and seeing as aside from breakfast there's basically nothing to eat or drink (aside from one tap with a filter in the main kitchen) we had no option but to pay this With the owner away there were also no activities available, we asked a few times about organising trips to various places but our host just ignored the question and changed the subject The bugs at this place were next level ridiculous, in 3 nights we went through an entire can of insect repellent and still got eaten alive The room was nicely decorated, but my sleep was terrible. The aircon is super noisy and starts and stops all the time, plus the roof leaked very loudly into a tray in the bathroom, so I didn't get any restful sleep here. There was also no table, only a single chair in the room and only a sun lounge and a really low beam bag to sit on, no TV or basically anything else to do at all, and only coffee and sugar (no milk, tea, or even teaspoons provided). The bed was really uncomfortable, a thin spring mattress in a hard base that I could feel every spring in The pool is tiny (barely chest height deep and at most 3m square) and our swimming clothes stank after using it On our second night the hosts literally locked us into the wing of the house without telling us, meaning no access to drinking water, we'd be stuck in the event of a fire, and we would've been unable to get out in the morning to go on a planned fishing trip. They wouldn't answer the phone and it took a good 15 mins of banging on the door to get them to unlock the access into the main house (and it was not late, around 8pm when we discovered this) Having paid a 50% deposit we stayed for 3 nights out of a planned 8, but absolutely can't wait to get to a resort tonight for a proper nights sleep and some actual service. I personally couldn't recommend this place and will never return, but if you are thinking of coming here despite the shortcomings, then make absolutely sure that the owner Sharon is here…
Sharon and her staff are lovely and very attentive… thank you aunty! Room and facilities are fantastic. And Breakfast!!! Best breakfast we ever had! Seriously. Throughly enjoyed the stay. The view is amazing, it’s a home away from home. Only one thing I struggled with was the step climb up and down to the lodge.
I've been home now for just over a week from my wonderful stay at Naveria Lodge and am feeling healthier, relaxed and rejuvenated after my week long detox and adventure stay. Naveria Lodge is a very special boutique accommodation offering warm and friendly Fijian hospitality provided by Sharon and her beautiful staff, Jazmine, Atu, Rosa, Serita and Viri. The daily massages and body treats by Viri were fantastic and the food delicious. Sharon organised trips to swim in beautiful waterfalls, paddling on the bay, jungle hikes and a wonderful village experience with singing and dancing. All experiences that I'll never forget. The detox was just what I needed to reset my eating habits and get me back on track to a healthier gut, which now includes daily coconut intake and some special herbs that grow wild in Fiji, pointed out by Sharon, who knows a lot about the medicinal value of the island's plants. I would highly recommend a stay at Naveria Lodge. Sharon and the staff are warm and friendly, the views spectacular, the food good, the rooms lovely and very clean and no day is ever the same, plus it is all inclusive. So go, you'll love it!!…
This property offers an intimate vacation experience owing to its smaller size and location, making it the ideal location to experience Fiji outside of the confines of a larger "all inclusive". Lovely resort, friendly staff, nestled up in the mountains with unparalleled views of the ocean. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Additionally, there are lots of excursions and day trips offered by the resort.
What an magical experience I had at Naveria Heights! A treetop jungle retreat of exquisite taste, comfort and relaxation, while also being walking distance from the comparative bustle, shopping and nightlife of Savusavu town, and providing options for adventure off the beaten path - this place truly has it all. My arrival to the lodge was serendipitous - a Fijian recommended it to me on the ferry from Taveuni based on the excellent reputation of the owner and host, Sharon, and I was able to make a last minute booking, essentially showing up on her doorstep unannounced! Lucky for me as it had been fully booked just a few days before. My jaw dropped upon stepping inside the lodge and seeing the panoramic view of Savusavu Bay, the ample balcony with many comfy spots to gaze out over the jungle, and the gorgeous design of the interiors. The entire environment sparkles with care and that extra quality that can only be called love. My room was stylish and comfortable with a private rock wall shower under the stars, and breakfasts prepared by the lovely Sarita on the balcony were incredibly delicious, healthy and filling - I felt like a queen. In the afternoons, to take a dip in a treetop plunge pool and relax in a daybed looking out over that view? Heaven. As a retreat, it was amazing and I could have never left, but I had come to Savusavu to explore the town and surroundings. Little did I realize I had come to the perfect place! Sharon welcomed me warmly and over my four day stay showed me an experience of Fiji that I will never forget. From river and mangrove paddleboarding, mineral baths known only to locals, horse riding on the beach and visiting a village, and going out for dinner, live music and dancing - she and the team can help curate for you whatever adventure you seek. Simply riding in her all wheel drive up that incredible driveway is an adventure! My visit was made extra special because her lovely sons - who grew up in Savusavu - were visiting from abroad, and meeting them and their friends and joining in with some of their unique experiences of Fiji was a total delight. Sharon is an inspiration and she has truly created some magic to share with the world at Naveria Heights. Thank you, Sharon, to you, your family and the whole team for showing me such a fantastic time, I look forward to returning!…
I stayed at Naveria Heights Lodge for 7 days in June, 2022. Sharon-the owner of the lodge picked me up from the airport promptly. The lodge is located on the hill overlooking beautiful harbor and Entry of the harbor. The lodge has amazing views. The architect is gorgeous. Perfect polished wood floor, spacious covered sitting area inside and out on the porch gave you such nice experience from morning coffee till night view. The breakfast is incredible! Smooth and mixed fruit are tasty! Sharon provided plenty excursion options including the best deep tissue massage at her lodge on the porch and dinner at her lodge. I have the best experience all around!!
We feel privileged to have been able to enjoy this beautiful place - it is Paradise personified. I think it was serendipity that led us to your door. We’ll spread the word and hope to return some day. Your staff have done us proud and I can’t say enough to express the delight of our experience. Just what we needed and your words sum it up "we slow down so the rest of the world can catch up".
