The hotel is close to town, which we found convenient. Food was OK, Dining service could've improved, as during one of our breakfast, we had to wait close to an hour, just to have the teas, and coffees served . Rooms are spacious, 3 people can even sleep in one.

Similar to the experience at North pole in an earlier trip I had decided to switch my stay to avoid the bed bugs debacle...how wrong was I..! It was an even worse experience unfortunately..had the bugs chewing on me till the morning..at somewhere at night I had to throw away the blanket and used my pillows as a battering ram...

I have been using this facility since 2009 and have not experienced anything that would deserve a commendation review. The experience I encountered with the hotel manager and the receptionist has left me somewhat totally flabbergasted. I am appalled at their no apology, no care attitude that speaks volume about customer service etiquette. The manager needs to attend CS training...

Last time I was here, I like the traditional Indian dishes they have. After a year I am back to Labasa and decided to try a different Hotel, Takia. So posh and clean. Decided to try the food at Grand Eastern. I am utterly dissapointed how bad they cooked western food. Had burger for lunch here 2 days ago. The...

After visiting Labasa a couple times I decided to try this hotel upon recommendations from some locals. It looks nice from a distance but when you look closer it really needs a little more care and attention to detail. The pool was really hot and it had an funny colour to it. The AC unit in the room was loud...

I stayed there several days on business and would not rush to repeat the experience. Some of the front desk staff are charming and helpful, but in general service is slow and inefficient. Having discovered that the deluxe room I had booked looked out on the pool area, bar and restaurant, I opted for a standard room which was quieter,...

I had lunch here with 3 other women. I ordered the "Surf and Turf". I would not recommend this dish. The meat was unchewable. You couldn't cut it wth a steak knife (which I had to ask for), the "turf" was very small prawns poured on top. The staff didn't care if we were there or not. Very indifferent attitude....

This hotel reception desk are liars. We went there and they said they had only the presidential suite available so we waited 3 hrs for them to clean it n make it ready for us. When we went to our room upstairs, (nobody to help with luggage), their presidential suite had only a queen size bed. We were travelling as...

We were in Labasa for 5 days attending a trial. The Grand Eastern was a nice oasis of calm - clean basic rooms, a beautiful pool and friendly staff. The town itself is not much to visit. We took a drive outside town one day where the countryside is pretty .Bring mosquito repellent for the evenings

First impressions are good - a nice courtyard feel. The rooms need a good refresh. The food in the dining room was good - we had curries. Unfortunately we had the room next to the dining room and it was very noisy until about 11 (we have smallish children so tend to go to sleep early) with the staff shouting...
