When we were there, no one snorkeled from shore. I don't think there's anything to see, or it's too rough. We are divers and didn't go snorkeling, but there were some present nearly every time we went out. They were on the same boat as the divers. I don't know what the charge is. Those who did snorkel absolutely loved it.

Hi there! Our resort website has a nice list of other activities we can help you arrange. Taveuni has lots of outdoor-related activities -- especially hikes! The waterfalls on the east side of the island are spectacular, and you an easily make some full or half day excursions experiencing the rainforest and waterfalls in the Bouma National Heritage Park. Prices vary from 15-40 or so FJD. Transportation from our resort to the trailheads and back can easily be arranged, and a cab ride is typically around 80-100 FJD or so round trip (that gives you a cab pretty much for an entire day).
