Alan and the family are wonderful and welcoming! We have stayed there several times when visiting family who live in Taveuni. The bures are exactly what you need, a place to rest your head and store your luggage. They have fans, a working bathroom and kitchenette area. Meals are served in the main house/office - real home cooked Fijian food....

Tovu Tovu is great little place. It is definitely not for everybody due to its rustic style, but those who enjoy that style, it is a great place. The staff is very kind and always pleased to help with any question or problem you may have. The food is great as well!

I had a great time at Tovu Tovu resort ! The place is run by a wonderful family and everybody is caring and helpful ! The rooms are in fact bungalows with private terrace. It may seem a little old fashioned but they are comfortable and equipped with all that is necessary items. Breakfast and food in general is very...

I stayed here for two nights before moving to Coconut Grove. I would not recommend this place unless you are desperate to save money. Looks as if there has been no maintenance for years. I do not recognise it from some of the favourable reviews that were posted. I think the owners cannot be bothered any more. No chef on...

This is a good local place from which to tour the island. Management lives on site, and treats their staff well. Friday night restaurant buffet has a good repuation with lots of local style foods you won't find elsewhere.

We didn't stay here, but the restaurant was Fijian home cooking at its finest. It seems as though one woman puts it all together, and she does a fine job Beautiful music, kava passed around, and very friendly people! Beautiful moonlight on the beach across the street.

This is a humble and sweet place owned and run by a Fijian family and when you stay here you feel like you have become one of them. The Bure's are delightfully dilapidated, but in a completely functional way and the care and attention you receive from the Fijian family and staff will warm you heart. The food is simple...

We had a really good time with the Tovu Tovu because the location in Northern Taveuni (Matei) is ideal for all activities like hiking, beach, snorkeling and just getting to know this different part of Fiji. Once you enjoy the view from the opposite beach and see all the surrounding Islands like Rabi, Vanua Lewu, Quewa etc you realize that...

It's getting harder to find these one star 'resorts' nowadays, but this one is a great example. Not cheap, but filled with poor facilities. For example, no hot tap in the bathroom sink, a mattress that would have been average when bought 10 years ago, a four speed overhead fan that actually only knew flat-out, every tap dribbling 24/7. Anything...

We spent 4 nights in a bure with kitchenette. The owner was very pleasant to deal with as was the staff. We had a reasonable stay here, but I would like to be honest about the accommodation. We found the bure to be quite worn in places, and could really do with a spruce up. Beside the basic setup, we...
