Excellent hotel very relaxed and family orientated x food very good and excellent selection and service. Animation team are fantastic especially shemis .sonny, and Ahmed we made some very good friends of these three x nothing is too much trouble for the staff and management at this hotel always ready to help out no matter what time of day or night . Would highly reccomend if you have a young family
We have just spent two weeks at this hotel. The grounds were really pleasant to walk round and really well cared for. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble! Khalid at the beach bar was brilliant making sure you had plenty of hydration , he must walk miles every day serving people and a lovely iced coffee is his signature. Being a couple on our own the quiet pool was nice if relaxation is what you want. The Indian and Chinese restaurants were really nice and the food was excellent. There was always plenty of food to choose at the buffet bar. Went to the village diner for a steak but didn’t want to go back for another!
We have just spent an amazing week at the Coral Sea holiday resorts. The staff were very helpful the excursion's were very well planned and organised. There was plenty of choices of food to suit everyone’s requirements. I recommend you try the Siri Indian and the American Dinner. Both outstanding. If you want ice in your drink there is plenty regardless of one comment. Round by the pools hard plastic glasses for safety reasons in the bars glass was used. Value for money 10/10 would I go again. I most definitely would. And will.
We stayed for 3 weeks in April, booking a Deluxe Room . Our room was bright , big, clean ,overlooking a children's pool and the sea. There was a huge walk in wardrobe with a safe & full length mirror. The bathroom had a walk in shower & a separate loo. The bed & pillows were fairly comfortable . I do wonder why they didn't remove the 3rd bed though . The hotel looks quiet modern with beautiful grounds and is in good repair. The main buffet restaurant on arrival looked lovely but decoration was all beige ......floor , walls, furniture, ceiling , blinds, table linen .........it needed some colour . It could have looked stunning with a bit of interior design thought ...... We found the food here often cold when it should have been hot. Sadly for us it also lacked flavour . There was just the odd dish / soup that we would comment on as being good. The wine was drinkable though. There was an Adults Only area , this was totally ignored by guests , who then had a row with the staff when asked to move. It just needed to be cordoned off in a better way. There are 4 A la Carte Restaurants ........Sari Indian, Bamboo Chinese , Mediterranean & Village Diner. These were all excellent . We found the food quality very good , the menus great , the staff & service very good . Sayeed in the Chinese also managed to find large mugs for our tea & coffee at breakfast.....a feat most other staff couldn't manage !!! We usually ate lunch in Village Diner which was good. Lots of nice staff here , Ramadan the Manager was always friendly & a pleasure to talk with. We spent most of our time at the Adult Bar in the evenings......sad that we were often the only people !!! The barman we had most of the time must have been very bored and it showed. The outside lobby bar was a nice area but we found the music too loud . The best bar was the Beach Bar . Khalid & Ahmed were brilliant , remembered what drinks we liked and would even bring them to our sunbed . Two fantastic members of staff. There was an Adults Only beach area. Sadly this was ignored by guests & staff . Why bother to have the sign we asked . Only the "English " read it we were told . Take it down then .... We walked along the promenade in both directions , not much had changed since 2014, it just looked a bit more run down in parts. We didn't go outside the front door of the hotel as we know the area well , having stayed at Coral Sea Waterworld 11 times during the early 2000's . We took a chance on this Hotel as we knew it wasn't Adult Only, we will not do this again. Adult Only is the way to go for us. The TUI Rep Mo turned out to be an old friend that we knew from Marsa Alam , a very caring gentleman , full of local information and very helpful. Overall we had a good time , the weather was great , we really enjoyed the A la Carte Restaurants , the wine & beer were fine as was our room . We would not return to this hotel or Sharm el Sheikh having found an Adult Only in Hurgharda that ticks all the boxes for us.…
Animal lovers - avoid this hotel. The day after we arrived, we got talking to a family in one of the other nearby swim-up rooms. They told us about a cat that had given birth to 7 kittens a few days before, and that they had been taking meat from the food buffet each day and feeding the mother. As we were due to leave after them, they asked if we could ensure the mother had food once they left. We agreed. The mother was really friendly and not causing any harm to anyone else. In fact, if we had not been told about the mother and kittens we would not have know they were there as she had given birth under a hedge. We started to feed the mother each day, and ensured she had water nearby. Then a few days in, one morning we heard a cat screeching. We went out to see what was happening, and the mother was pacing up and down, with no sign of the kittens. A person walking by said that pest control had taken the kittens. We went to reception to find out what was going on, and worried that they might have killed the kittens, ask to see them. We were told that they had been taken to the staff quarters to be looked after, and that if we returned to reception in an hour, they would take us to see them. We went back to reception an hour later, to be fobbed off with an excuse as to why we couldn’t be taken to the staff quarters, but we were told to return in another hours time and the rep would go and take photos to show us that the kittens were safe and being looked after. We returned an hour later, to be fobbed off yet again as to why a photo could not be taken. We said to the TUI rep that we believe the kittens had been killed by pest control, and he ended up having a heated exchange of words with the reception staff - none of which we understood. Despite being reassured that the kittens were unharmed and safe, no one could provide any evidence to substantiate this. A few days later, we see the mother again, still howling, and still looking for her kittens. It is our belief that pest control killed each of the seven kittens, as reception staff made it clear that a five star hotel could not have cats wondering around! It completely ruined our holiday. We will also be contacting TUI to make our thoughts clear, as whilst they do not have any control over the hotel, they do chose to place people there. Something else to note - if you do go to this hotel, the swim up rooms are not very private, can easily be accessed by anyone (and often are) and the pool liner is rotting and is nailed on to the edge! Also, the local drinks (spirits) are vile. Taste nothing like normal vodka/gin etc.…
Arrived late at night. Check in was slow and chaotic with no information given. We were driven to our room otherwise would never have found it. On first impressions the room was large and of a good standard. It looked clean and presentable and fit for purpose. I would have thought that three beds would indicate the need for three cups, glasses and towels. We did obtain an extra towel after two days but never did get the cups or glasses. During day light hours the room revealed typical Egyptian decor ‘paint thrown on walls’, all very slap dash but it was clean and the service provided by the cleaning staff was excellent. I certainly would not rate this hotel 5 star, maybe a 3 at a push! Our swim up room was great but by no means private. We opened the curtains each morning or returned from a trip in the afternoon to find somebody occupying the beds outside our room. Next door both sides played music loudly and generally anyone from other parts of hotel came to use the ‘private pool.’ The pool lining had perished and was hanging loose around the edge of the pool and had been nailed back into place. The nails had become rusty in the water. There was a constant smell of paint as the pathways were constantly being painted. It may have looked clean and tidy but highly glossed painted paths and water are not a good mix. Very hazardous! The quiet pool was lovely and did remain quiet for most of our stay other than when the pavements were being dug out or from the building works next door. At the main pool you are pestered for a few days by the spa staff, sales of excursions or to join in the holiday camp style of entertainments. Lots did enjoy but not really my thing. Also this pool is evacuated daily for a ‘code brown’ or two when somebody empties their bowels into the water. The beach was lovely and Khalid who ran the beach bar was vey attentive and caring. Sadly this hotel uses single use plastics to serve the drinks. Consequently this results in lots of litter and whilst snorkelling you’ll see as many plastic cups as fish in the sea. There is zero care for the environment. The food in the main buffet was of good quality and was plentiful. It’s very ‘canteen’ feeding the hundreds and after a few days we became good at spotting what had been recycled from the previous evening. But if you want feeding quickly then its perfect. Early in my stay it was brought to my attention by another holiday maker that a cat had kittens under a hedge near own room. My son adores cats and was delighted when the cat allowed him to stroke her and look at her kittens each day. I was woken by an almighty screech one morning to find the cat searching for her kittens. Another holiday maker reported he had seen ‘pest control’ removing the kittens. I enquired with reception about the welfare of the kittens to be told ‘we have moved them to the staff quarters for their safety.’ I reported that the mother was still looking for them and they assured me they were safe. I asked to see the kittens and was told to return to reception at a given time to visit them. When I returned the visit was refused. I was asked again to return to be shown a picture of the kittens and again refused when I was returned. My request for help from the holiday rep was non fruitful. I contacted an animal charity locally who said the kittens would be killed by now and they would not be allowed into the hotel. I offered to pay for the cat to be removed and later neutered but access for the charity was denied. All my request to see the hotel manager were denied. I travelled to Cairo and made contact with several animal charities all of who confirmed ‘the kittens will have been thrown in the trash can.’ When I returned to Coral Beach I saw the Mother cat still desperately searching for her kittens. After reporting it to reception I never saw her again! I would urge TUI not to use this hotel because of the animal cruelty. When I returned to the hotel I found the Mother cat back at my room still searching for her kittens, confirmation enough that they had been killed by order of the hotel manager.…
Just returned from an amazing stay at Coral Sea. Fantastic family hotel, very quiet with the Russian tourists noticeably absent. Very few negatives. Access to the water park across the road was great, my little girl (5) loved it. The food was the best I’ve had at an all inclusive, lots of variety with a few things consistent. For example there’s a chef cooking fresh pasta every evening, always chips and a mini kids option. The entertainment was also one of the best I’ve seen a hotel have, Latin dancers and the acrobats were the best. The magician was slightly unorthodox, there’s no way I’d let my daughter on the stage after knowing how the tricks go. I’m also slightly worried about the poor bird being shoved into a fiery cup every evening before being placed back into a bag. The mini kids disco was on every night and my daughter adored it, the blonde lady on the animation team is fantastic with the kids. The best by far was the option to have a swim up pool, so helpful with kids. A real luxury, definitely upgrade if possible. The sea was beautiful, swimming out far enough will lead you straight into some incredible sights, coral reefs with hundreds of fish. We swam out of the ropes laid out by the hotel but it was so worth it! Definitely take care, but don’t be afraid to explore. All staff very approachable, friendly and great with kids. Waited on hand and foot, very good service. The cleaner was also exceptional. The grounds are immaculate, someone is always painting or cleaning or trimming tree’s! Very close to the airport, which is helpful. I was worried about Egypt, having never been before. Now I think I’ll go every year! The only real negative was the hotel shop selling inflatables. Do not buy here, he wanted £108 English pounds for two lilo’s worth about ten pound. Absolutely insane, just outside the hotel there’s the exact same for around £5 English! If you’re comfortable enough walk further down the street as the further away from the hotel the cheaper, there are always hotel workers helping you cross the street and we felt safe every time we left the hotel. The perfume shop in the hotel is worth a visit, very reasonable. All in all a fantastic holiday, I miss it so much already!…
The hotel were amazing, the stuff are very very helpful and caring, the receptionist was very helpful and introducing everything very well, I visit many many hotels in sharm and hurghada honestly I didn’t face a pretty hotel with this fully features like coral holiday
Location amazing , rooms amazing , cleanliness was good . Staff amazing , Benny and Joey from the animation team made our holiday , also Nasseur and Miina from the lounge just brilliant great service and humour , lovely manager Adel also . Entertainment very poor , they say it's a family hotel I'm glad I didn't take my children with me they would be bored bored bored . The adults every evening with singers that are basic and no vibe at all , no shows , no dancing just really poor boring entertainment . Food , honestly what you would expect in a 2/3 star hotel , looks great but no flavour and a lot of food was not cooked properly leaving a lot of us with the dreaded upset stomach ! The staff made this holiday for us without them this place would be so boring ! We have been twice now and can really see the changes and impact covid has had on this hotel , hopefully things pick up for them and they can improve on what they do .…
Had another fantastic time at this hotel, met some great people who were returning after a long time away. Lots of improvements since the last time, all the staff were friendly and welcoming thanks to Kahleed from the beach, abd ala, Ahmed,Mahmoud,Mohammed and baseen from the pool and lobby bar. Only visited the Chinese and village diner which were both excellent, found the food in the restaurant to be really good and lots of choice they even have a adults only area also had great food at the beach. Entertainment team are good on the go all day with lots of activities even a pool party and a cocktail party through the day. We tipped in either Egyptian or dollars but they are appreciative of anything but you can be asked to change coins for them. Everything in this hotel is clean and tidy from the rooms to the gardens nothing is missed. We can’t wait until we can return. Many thanks…
