The Doubletree By Hilton Sharm El Sheikh - Sharks Bay Resort garners commendation for its attentive service and spotless premises, with staff members often recognized for their friendliness and meticulous room upkeep. However, some guests have called out issues with water charges and less-than-cheerful waitstaff. While the lively atmosphere with music and events is a hit with many, a few find it too noisy and the aesthetics dated.
The all-inclusive package, though appreciated for its convenience, sometimes falls short on variety and incurs additional costs, leading to mixed reviews on value. The resort's location is a highlight, being close to major attractions, but the rooms, despite their cleanliness, receive criticism for a dated feel and occasional maintenance shortcomings. Amenities like heated pools and garden areas are a plus, yet concerns over water supply and sales approaches have been noted.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are spotless and in excellent condition and the staff are excellent but and this is a big BUT, the food was always cold, no matter what time of day you went for food even if you were first into the restaurant it was always cold, if they brought out fresh food it was still lukewarm, The restaurant in the bottom hotel was the same which is such a shame as I loved the hotel. And be warned about the pool just don’t go jumping in otherwise you’ll have the shock of your life as the water is icy cold. I’d love to go back there but I just can’t face the cold food

We stayed for 10 days end of June beginning July. We found check in really quick and wizzed to our room by golf buggy. We arrived about 1030 at night but was given food in bags - very nice. Bar open upstairs till 12 so managed a couple drinks on the first night too. We found all the staff in the Hilton amazing. All the bar staff, cleaning staff, shar-mania staff and life guards. We did 2 trips from the pier and both were amazing we loved it. Shar-mania staff were especially nice to us and very informative. Syeed especially was a lovely man and we really enjoyed talking to him and booking out speed boat trip with him. Abdul the life guard always helping us get our sunbeds and putting up our umbrella. Housekeeping young man was very good making us different animals everyday from the towels. Always polite and always asking if we needed anything. Fresh water, tea coffee and milk left in our room everyday as well as a bed change and new towels. We had a king size bed and it was lovely and comfortable and plenty of draws and wardrobe space in the room. Free room safe also. Restaurant staff were amazing especially Azez who got us a table and drinks on every visit. Food for me was amazing. If you don’t like what is out you can always ask for something. Barbecue nearly everyday. Kebabs, rice, curry, chips, pizza and pasta on offer all the time plus always a roast dinner Turkey Lamb or beef. I would say get in the restaurant at near enough opening time if you want to beat the rush and be relaxed. Free beach bus to take you to the other side where there is a pool and pontoon to jump off into the Red Sea. All the staff were really nice and polite and helpful and they made our stay very comfortable and very enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely like to return one day for another lovely holiday. Please ignore any bad reviews we loved our stay and also walking distance from soho square which is a lovely place to visit in the evenings and take pictures. We also met some lovely people from around the world around the pool and in the bar. Thank you for a very enjoyable holiday to all the staff.

I stayed at this hotel from April 14 to April 27, 2024. I was on vacation with my wife. As a person with limited physical capabilities (ununited fractures of the femur and tibia), I move on crutches. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the service staff, namely the lifeguard on the pier - Mohkhomed Saleh, the security guards - Ahmed, Yahya. They always provided all possible assistance so that I could swim in the sea (the descent to the sea is steep, Panton rocks on the waves), excellent guys. I also want to express my gratitude to the guys working at the reception, they were understanding and helped us move around the territory in an electric car, a Golf car, and later, when opportunities arose, we moved it closer to the restaurant. At the moment, the hotel is moving into the territory of the 2nd coastline, since the 1st is under reconstruction and will open next year, take a fumigator with you (against mosquitoes and flies), the area is periodically treated, but in calm weather mosquitoes bother you. The pier at the sea is made of plastic structures, for people with impaired motor function, this is a test, but fortunately there are guys from the service staff who will help. They take you to the sea by bus, every 15 minutes it leaves from the reception and back, you can also walk, it’s not far - 5 minutes walk. The animators work great, by the sea (darts, yoga gymnastics), by the pool (water aerobics, darts) and they host the evening show, well done. The rooms are spacious, cleaned well, you can thank the employee for $1, and he will delight you with figures made from towels. The food is good, there is an offer to make dishes for meat lovers together, otherwise you have to stand in line for rice, which is located between the meat dishes. Meals take a long time. In the evening you can go for a walk in the Soho area (entertainment centers, boutiques, restaurants, ice skating rink). The evening program at the hotel is good, various artists are invited (dancing, singing) after 23, in the Q bar, live music, saxophone. Many nationalities relax at the hotel, there are no provocations. There are not enough Russian speakers at the reception, if you know English, then there are no problems ( an electronic translator will help you), WiFi throughout the entire territory, including the embankment, works well and without payment. It is possible to check in early and without additional payment (we were checked in at 8:00, we were given a bracelet at 11:00). Don't look for negativity where there is none!

Drove with my husband between 02.10.24 and 13.10.24
The hotel is undergoing renovation on the first line. On the second line, the number stock is old and tired, most likely the renovation will be after it's finished on the first. We found out about this in advance and immediately decided to check into the already restored rooms, even specially prepared the additional sum. But pleasantly surprised when we were agreed to be relocated for free!) It's important to note that the guys at reception don't speak Russian, so they communicated in English.
The room is wonderful: new furniture, two balconies!! (the only room with two balconies in the building), a large bed, a huge TV. Mustafa, a very nice man, was responsible for cleaning our building. They left a dollar every other day, so every time they cleaned the bed there were swans, bears, and elephants made of towels.
The food is great, the restaurant is not crowded on the first line, so there are always tables available. From day one, Mohamed (the waiter) served first class (great guy!!). They tipped us a dollar, so every day we were waiting for an individually decorated table with wine or beer. Once or twice a week there were rolls, always chicken, fish, fruit, fresh salads, desserts, soups, etc. We were very happy to check in on the first line, as the second restaurant was constantly overcrowded.
The pools were cleaned every day, there are bars, right in the pool with very good-natured bartenders. In general, the whole staff is very good-natured and pleasant. Alcohol is mediocre, as elsewhere in Egypt. The reef is very beautiful, there is not much room for swimming, but quite enough to look at the fish, of which there are many.
Since it is an international hotel chain, the hotel's filling is very international: Russians, Ukrainians, Poles, Italians, Arabs, very many British and Americans. Great way to practice language))
Animation every night. The guys try and are generally fun, conduct animation in different languages not forgetting Russian). There's daytime aqua aerobics, yoga and pool dancing.
I think the hotel is great for families without children, pensioners, etc. For children entertainment is not much after all).
On the downside: the construction sound (generally expected) periodically, as well as loud music from the nearby Meraki Hotel, sometimes played during the daytime sleep. The hotel staff offered to move away, but we liked the room so much we decided to hang around a couple of times.

The hotel consists of two buildings. One is undergoing a major renovation. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the already updated rooms: modern furniture, latest plumbing and appliances. Everything works perfectly and looks very stylish. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard daily and the minibar was regularly replenished with two bottles of drinking water. Special thanks to the staff for providing the iron promptly at our request. There's a free shuttle between the hulls every 30 minutes, but we didn't use it. An electric car transfer is available for convenience upon arrival and departure. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, including the beach. There was always plenty of space on the beach, even at peak hours. Entrance to the sea from a pontoon. Near the pontoon there are small reefs with fish, and on the right, if you swim farther away, you can see a more diverse underwater world, including rays, morays and napoleons. The menu at the restaurants of both lines of the hotel was almost identical and striking in its diversity. Each day, there were many dishes of chicken, beef, lamb and fish. Seafood was particularly popular: large shrimp and crabs. The dishes were presented in a wide range: vegetables, potatoes, pasta and more. The dessert zone was a real sweet tooth heaven: a variety of cakes, cakes, fruit and even a chocolate fountain. Alcoholic beverages were served in pool bars and on the beach from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The hotel, unfortunately, could not boast a developed animation program. On the first line, the animators were completely absent, while on the second line they appeared only occasionally and did not speak Russian, preferring to communicate in English and Italian. The entertainment program was quite uniform and could not compare to the active life of the nearby hotel, where music was played from morning to evening and various events were held. But we weren't upset, we just decided to diversify our vacation with excursions. They were bought from the agency Grand utopia travel easily found on Instagram by name. Took a sea trip to a white island. Climbing Mount Moses. Everything was perfectly organized. As avid travelers to Egypt (this is our 11th visit!), we can safely say that this hotel is pleasantly surprised. Service is high and the food is varied and delicious. Although the animation wasn't the most active, we had a great time enjoying the beach and the peaceful atmosphere.

Our stay at the Hilton Hotel had its highs and lows. On the bright side, the rooms were consistently clean, and the attentive room staff ensured our comfort, although there was a slip-up with towels one day. However, a quick call to reception resolved the issue within 10 minutes.
The room provided a safe, fridge, towels, hairdyer etc. We appreciated the provision of four bottles of water daily and found the beds to be quite comfortable, leading to peaceful nights without any disturbances.
In the hotel restaurant, we were well taken care of, especially with table service for drinks on most days. While the food was generally enjoyable, it might not cater to picky eaters or those unwilling to try new dishes. After eight nights, we sought variety and opted to dine elsewhere.
Unfortunately, a significant downside of our stay was that all four of us experienced upset stomachs at some point, which was unexpected and concerning.
The hotel grounds were well-maintained, and the heated pool was a highlight. However, it was disappointing that there was no poolside drink service, and the pool bars closed early at 5 pm. Additionally, we found ourselves constantly approached at the pool to avail spa services, dive center activities, and excursions, which became bothersome.
Regarding dining and entertainment options, the hotel seemed limited. There was only one restaurant open and two bars, one of which was a smoking bar, unpleasant for non-smokers. The other bar, the show bar, had loud music and persistent invitations from the animation team to attend clubbing events, which didn't align with our preferences, due to be divers and up out for 7am every day.
The animation team's performance left much to be desired, with vague responses about show schedules and repetitive belly dancing shows.
Despite these shortcomings, the beach area with its excellent reef was a highlight, 100% take your snorkle or if take a shore dive here. There is a beach bar for drinks and toilet facilties here. It is about a 8 minute walk from the hotel downhill, but there is a bus to take you there and back.
In conclusion, while the Hilton Hotel offered some positives like cleanliness and attentive service, there were notable drawbacks, particularly regarding dining and entertainment options, as well as concerns about food hygiene. It was a great location to be able to walk to SOHO Sqaure, it cost us £15 return into Nama Bay.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for posting your comments on our hotel. We note all your comments and shall be exploring this further with the team as we endeavor to improve our services even further in the future. We are of course sorry that you did not consider raising your concerns with a senior management team whilst here, who would have made every effort to address your concerns. We pride ourselves on our service levels and take feedback seriously in order that we can address any specific issues. In regards to the food, food is a very subjective topic and given that we serve in excess of 3000 meals a day and have guests from many different countries it is not always possible to accommodate individual personal tastes. The majority of our guests leave completely satisfied, whilst many of our guests become regulars and return 3 – 4 times a year. The hotel is HACCP compliant undergoes monthly external Health and Safety audits, where our results are deemed as excellent. Upset stomachs are not necessarily a result of food, but can be combination of many reasons. Given that the hotel is all inclusive, any potential virus would affect all of our guests. To further insure our guests’ satisfaction we also have a resident doctor on site 24 hours a day. We value your comments, as it is only through the eyes of our guests that we can improve our service and guests experience. May I take this opportunity to thank you for your feedback and once again I am sorry that you felt that the holiday did not live up to your expectations and hope that we will have the pleasure welcoming you back again. Yours truly, Hassan Hassanein General Manager

We stayed at the hotel for 7 days from January 26th, booking the all-inclusive package through a third-party site, and we truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was wonderful, and our room in the Cala Building was huge, complete with a spacious living room. The service was outstanding, particularly at the restaurant where we were always taken care of by Mohammed Ismail and his team—Hamad and Attef. They were always attentive, bringing us drinks and greeting us with a warm smile and a friendly welcome. The resort’s overall service, including housekeeping, was also impressive. We were delighted to find different creative towel animals in our room each day—such a cute and thoughtful touch.
The private beach was just a short walk from the Cala Building, and the house reef was perfect for casual snorkeling. One area that could be improved, however, is the diving center's location and service. We had trouble finding the dive center to get life vests for snorkeling, as there were no clear signs indicating its location. We were told a flag would mark it, but we couldn’t spot it anywhere. It turned out to be housed in an unmarked room, and the staff member was often unavailable. On one occasion, we had to wait 25 minutes for him to return, and another time, after returning the life vest, we waited 30 minutes for him to show up. It would be helpful if the dive center had a clear sign and was better staffed to avoid unnecessary delays for guests.

We rested from December 11 to December 25, 2024. This is the fourth time this hotel has been visited. Upon arrival, the reception staff (Mohammed, Ahmed, Nur Atef) were greeted. From the rooms shown, the room on the 2nd floor of the second line was chosen. The room is spacious (32 sqm) with two beds, sofa, with balcony, it has a large TV, tea kettle, in the closets - safe, ironing board, iron (on request), hangers. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower stall, large branded bottles of gel, shampoo, cream fixed to the wall. Bed linen and towels were systematically changed to clean, snow-white. White terry robes and room slippers were provided upon request. The room was cleaned daily. Coffee, tea, sugar, bottled water were regularly replenished. Minor deficiencies identified were corrected immediately on the reception desk call, even in the late evening. Wi-fi is free, and the connection is good almost throughout the hotel, including by the sea. There's a bus to and from the beach every 30 minutes. The beach of the hotel is small, sunbeds and umbrellas on several levels, seats were enough for everyone. There is a beach towel exchange and a bar. The bar serves snacks, ice cream and drinks, including alcohol (after 11 a.m.). Entrance to the sea from a pontoon. The sea is beautiful, clean. Near it there are several small coral reefs with a variety of beautiful fish. Swimming with a mask. The sea at the pontoon is limited by buoys, about 15 meters by 15 meters. In restaurants on the 1st and 2nd lines the food is very varied and delicious: beef, chicken, turkey, quail, lamb, duck . Seafood is often fish, crabs and shrimp. Very delicious yogurt, various sweets, honey, pastries, fruit (very much persimmons). Not far from the hotel is Soho Street with many small sculptural shapes, a singing fountain, a lot of different shops, restaurants, cafes. She was covered in Christmas and New Year's lights. Of the disadvantages - no clothes dryers on the balconies (had to dry on the balcony fence and armchair handles), changing booths on the beach, spoons (horns) for putting on shoes in the room. The overall impression of the trip is very positive: a calm hotel with quality service, delicious food, friendly and courteous staff. We recommend the hotel to friends and loved ones. Alexander and Nadezhda

I have been here at the Hilton double tree for a week already and I will stay here for another 5 days. This is my first time at the Hilton, although the fifth in Sharm el sheik. The previous times I stayed in excellent 5-star hotels but the Hilton double tree gave me something extra: it really made me feel at home! This is thanks to all the wonderful staff who dedicate their professionalism and absolute devotion to the guest every day. Of course, in other facilities I also found friendly and helpful staff but not so present, sincere, discreet and above all disinterested. All this added a unique value to my holiday, the human value and for this I would like to sincerely thank: Mister Gaber, always attentive to the welcome and care of the guests in the restaurant room, (the food is like in all the other resorts a a little spicy but ask and Mr Gaber will promptly cater to your every wish) My room is 4005, it is very spacious and bright, equipped with a huge wardrobe, lots of drawers, hairdryer, ironing board, kettle, TV with all Rai channels and a huge bathroom with a very spacious shower cubicle, and also a bathtub bath. Every day, the room is punctually and scrupulously cleaned, discreetly and stocked with bottles of mineral water (from the first day I asked for a few more and I was immediately satisfied😊) For this my appreciation and thanks go to very good and sweet Hadil Hamed and Mohamed Habdelsamel, professional and always present for any request.🙏🏻 The swimming pool is truly the largest I have ever seen in my life (and I assure you that I have seen many!) immersed in a wonderful garden, very green and so well looked after that it really seems like an oasis in the middle of the desert. The swimming pool is also well designed with a part lapped by the sand of the beach volleyball court for the very little ones, where they can make sandcastles and bathe in complete safety as if they were at the seaside on the shoreline. Another pool, for kids (and not only) has hydroslides and finally my favorite, the part dedicated only to adults, surrounded by palm trees and flowers, a true paradise on earth! Here too my most sincere appreciation goes to those who, every day and night, even with a diving suit, keep every part of it clean, even the most remote and I assure you that it is not easy at all, it is truly enormous. Thanks also to the very kind and professional Hibraim of the green towel station (also for his Arabic lessons) and to the very sweet and always present guardian angel of the swimming pool Mohamed Yehia (lifeguard). Naturally I would like to thank everyone, absolutely everyone, without exception because if I had such a good time, the credit goes to the entire team. Thank you Hilton double Tree and see you very soon ❤️ Nadia.

We went to the Double Tree Hilton for 10 days at the end of June 2024 and all I can say is….it was AMAZING!
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and this continued throughout our stay.
The rooms were very spacious, and kept to an exceptional standard at all times. The housekeeper is an absolute star and every day we returned to a different towel animal in our room along with 4 bottles of water and a spotless room.
Mohammed behind the pool bar is an absolute asset to the hotel and he was constantly bantering with us and going the extra mile for everyone.
The food was good, we always had a choice of beef, chicken and fish dishes alongside various types of potatoes, rice and salad. It can begin to feel a bit “samey” but it worked well for us as we are fussy eaters so it was good to know we would always find something we liked. Jamal, our waiter, was simply the best. He always had a table waiting for us with our favourite choice of drinks. On our last day, he laid us a special table with flowers and love hearts as a goodbye.
The entertainment in the evenings was good, but was slightly more aimed at an Egyptian market. It’s worth noting as well that the all inclusive stops at 11pm so any drinks after that will have to be paid for.
It’s worth mentioning as well that there are a lot of reps that come round by the pool to try and sell you excursions, massages, beauty treatments etc. It can feel slightly annoying at times but they offer really good prices. We did a private speed boat ride with snorkelling, a quad bike trip in the desert and massages with facials all booked through these reps at great prices so worth listening to what they have to say. If you prefer not to be hassled, you can ask at the towel hut for a “do not disturb sign” to hang over your sunbed which deters them from coming over.
We will 1000000000% be returning to this hotel very soon. Thank you for an amazing stay!

HI, I've only stayed Mountain side. We wanted to be that side because of the big pools for my Stepson. However I know the beach side has been completely refurbed and looks beautiful so I think we would ask for that side next time!
