    Excellent hotel with excellent staff.
We stayed for 10 days end of June beginning July. We found check in really quick and wizzed to our room by golf buggy. We arrived about 1030 at night but was given food in bags - very nice. Bar open upstairs till 12 so managed a couple drinks on the first night too. We found all the staff in the Hilton amazing. All the bar staff, cleaning staff, shar-mania staff and life guards. We did 2 trips from the pier and both were amazing we loved it. Shar-mania staff were especially nice to us and very informative. Syeed especially was a lovely man and we really enjoyed talking to him and booking out speed boat trip with him. Abdul the life guard always helping us get our sunbeds and putting up our umbrella. Housekeeping young man was very good making us different animals everyday from the towels. Always polite and always asking if we needed anything. Fresh water, tea coffee and milk left in our room everyday as well as a bed change and new towels. We had a king size bed and it was lovely and comfortable and plenty of draws and wardrobe space in the room. Free room safe also. Restaurant staff were amazing especially Azez who got us a table and drinks on every visit. Food for me was amazing. If you don’t like what is out you can always ask for something. Barbecue nearly everyday. Kebabs, rice, curry, chips, pizza and pasta on offer all the time plus always a roast dinner Turkey Lamb or beef. I would say get in the restaurant at near enough opening time if you want to beat the rush and be relaxed. Free beach bus to take you to the other side where there is a pool and pontoon to jump off into the Red Sea. All the staff were really nice and polite and helpful and they made our stay very comfortable and very enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely like to return one day for another lovely holiday. Please ignore any bad reviews we loved our stay and also walking distance from soho square which is a lovely place to visit in the evenings and take pictures. We also met some lovely people from around the world around the pool and in the bar. Thank you for a very enjoyable holiday to all the staff.

    Stay in Hilton Sharks Bay
As it was our 7th stay in Hilton Sharks Bay we have a lot for comparison. It feels that management is changing from time to time and not always in a good way. As we are returning customers we emailed hotel upfront with some small requests on our rooms. Nothing special, just location of room, bed types. Unfortunately, receptionist who is in charge of communication via emails wasn’t very customer oriented and we only were able to get answers for questions we also asked on 3rd or 4th email. Templates are good but at least try to make sure they answer all of the questions. It was our first time of staying on the 2nd line. Pros: rooms are much better as they are newer; a lot of space around the gigantic swimming pool, really good place to relax and enjoy sunbathing; restaurant as well is much lighter and more pleasant to dine. Cons: if you want to go to the beach it will take 10-15 min to walk, but there is a bus every 30 min, just make sure you catch it; swimming pool is great, but water is quite cold, in windy weather it is a no-no, or make sure you have enough “fuel” in your glasses. One big cons this time was a beach. To make sure you’ll have some spot there you need to come there at 6 or 7am, 8am will be too late, most likely you won’t find a place there. Problem is that hotel has a rule that reservation is forbidden, but they are not paying any attention to it. And thats a pity as some people just reserved it at 7am and come to beach at 10 or 11 am, so somebody may have used it and already left the beach. Another thing is their new towel system. If you have taken towel at one spot you must return it there. Quite frustrating if you have got it at 2nd line and go to the beach so you will need to bring it back to the second line, which is really annoying. Also 2nd line restaurant needs a bit more stuff as it is usual that tables won’t be cleaned until you’ll ask. But thats just lack of stuff, guys are doing very well there. Just give them some help. Things worth mentioning are their SPA, Kan Zaman beach bar and Barracuda restaurant. SPA was just super relaxing and helped us getting smooth tan and not getting a sun burn. At the beach bar try ordering Tequila Sunrise on fresh juice, it was amazing. And shrimps from Barracuda restaurant was so good that we had them twice. It was worth every cent. The biggest treasure of Hilton Sharks Bay is their stuff (not all of them, unfortunately). It feels so nice when you come and they recognize you and start smiling. That makes you feel that you’re having your best time. It was truly great time. So, if you want to have a lot of sea, select first line. If you just need to relax - 2nd line will work better.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We had a fantastic time, weather fantastic, staff really friendly and couldn't do enough for you, rooms clean and felt really safe with the checks security did everywhere. We particularly have to say a special thank you to Sayed the pool boy, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and loved chatting to him to find out a little of Egypt's culture. He would always greet us when he see us, even when we never see him. Mohamed the life guard in the adult pool also very friendly and helpful and Ali was quite a little character in a friendly way. The only negative thing I could say is the food, We didn't enjoy that too much , but didn't starve! You must visit Soho Square, which is a short walk from the hotel. It is just quite amazing, with all the beautiful lights, bars, restaurants and shops. I felt very safe although were haggled from the shops from our hotel to Soho Square, but after that was ok .We will definitely be returning!!

First of all pool is great best thing about the hotel , I’ve just come back from two weeks here and in that time my room was infested with ants and I was ignored several times when asking for someone to come and clean it , eventually it was cleaned but they left all dead ants on the bathroom floor and the next day there was more ants on the sink bath and floor again. Service is not very good at the bar as a British person , they will serve the people of colour first even if you had been waiting longer , the was very common as we would spend up to half an hour waiting to be served. Other British people also complained about this awful service. The Italian restaurant is a scam food is disgusting just like all the food at the hotel and the woman that worked in has to be the most rude person I’ve ever met. The main restaurants food is always stone cold and there is people shoving past you with no manners , feral kids running round screaming when your carrying your plates. I do not recommend this hotel nor will I ever be visiting again.

I choose this hotel based on reviews and experience of staying in sharks bay 9 years ago. The best way you can rate this hotel is to break down the ratings into areas. We are a British couple who travel frequently, we wanted a bit of late summer sun on a budget price. 1) the room 3/5 We booked a garden view room as we were not worried about a pool view. We couldn’t see how to book the newer part (11years old) so hopefully for the best! When we arrived we were taken to the 20 year old older part across the road. We had to negotiate building works, barriers and painters to get to our room. It was nice if a little dated. What upset us the most was you couldn’t use the buffet in the newer part. Our buffet was small, little selection and looked poor. We went to reception and they changed us to the newer part foc the next day. Great location, bigger room and next to the adult only pool. 2) the pool 5/5 Fantastic pools, huge! In the newer section it’s split into 3 parts. The farthest is adult only, lush. Middle part slides and kids, last part nearest reception and the smallest. Really happy with the pools. 3) food 2/5 Pretty boring and repetitive. I wouldn’t mind but I was so put off eating because if the Egyptians on holiday. The over load their tables. Waste so much food. Take way more they can eat! It’s disgusting. But what I didn’t like was they handled the food, put it on their plates and they put it back on display. The are food from the serving dished using the tongs and putting it back into the dish. They are disgusting. I felt quite ill and didn’t want to eat with them. The other restaurant is overpriced as are the restaurants in soho square. Can’t believe in an all inclusive you have to pay for snacks during the day???? Breakfast is definitely not based at any except Egyptians! 4) drinks 2/5 Disappointing! We didn’t want ice so all our drinks were warm. Never kept bottles in the fridge. No mini bar in your room. There are a couple of slushy cocktails included but the other cocktails are chargeable! And they are disgusting and over priced. You only get wine at dinner not at the bars. You have your get your own drinks at meal times. Not even tea or coffee at breakfast unless you have to get it. 5) location Good location for soho square, rip of tourist area. Good for snorkelling and the airport. Overall it’s probably the worst all inclusive I’ve stayed at but the room and pool made it good. The weather has constantly been in the 30’s and has been fantastic. It’s what you get for about £600 pp

When we arrived here it looked like a lovely place. Rooms are fine, clean although a bit tired looking . Air conditioning and WiFi good. We arrived during evening service so had some food which wasn't good then went to the bar which drinks are in plastic glasses, no service with a smile here! The food continued to go down hill from here, it was like a works canteen queuing up for a plate of chips if you were lucky. People pushing in, just not a nice place to eat. Two waiters in there can't remember their names but they were fantastic always happy to help. Pools fantastic, 1 poolside bar great but the 1 that serves food the bar men need showing how to treat people. All in all its not what your expecting from an all inclusive hotel. I bar 1 canteen. We went into Soho Square at night to get something decent to eat lovely place, saved our holiday really.
