The Iberotel Palace garners praise for its prime location, nestled close to a sandy beach and the allure of Old Town, though the nearby mosque's early calls have been noted by some guests. Its service is commendably highlighted, with staff routinely receiving accolades for their politeness and commitment to crafting memorable stays. While opinions on value vary due to additional charges for certain amenities, the hotel's cleanliness and array of entertainment options receive consistent acclaim. However, limited sunbed availability and dated room aspects have been points of contention among travelers.

A lovely hotel , right in the middle of sharm ( but you wouldn’t know it was lovely and quiet, on the smaller size so perfect for a week’s break.
The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable, instant coffee / tea and coffee mate in the rooms . Glass bottles of water ( mini bar and a snack tray all at an extra cost ) but not really any room left in the fridge for your bottles of water , I personally feel that they would be better off leaving the snacks and drinks out in the room and put the bottles of water in the fridge as I didn’t hear of anyone drinking the stuff out of the fridge .
Check in was easy and we booked a late room for check out ( till 6pm as we weren’t being picked up for the airport until 7pm ) it was €50 .
The grounds are pretty and well looked after , the beach was a few steps away it’s a shingle / sand type beach but crystal clear water that you can walk into with no rocks / coral bed to hobble over .
Islam the beach bed / lifeguard chap was smiling and always had our beds ready for us and The beach bar servers Tarik , George and Armed were all friendly and kind , there is cornetto ice creams and bags of crisps / nuts to have at anytime you just need to ask them .
The lunch menu at the beach bar was lovely, smaller portions but all very tasty , freshly made pizzas , burgers , chicken wraps etc .
Islam the boat guy that takes you out to the coral reef ( book at reception) was the friendliest kindest man , we took my mum “Nanna” with us on this trip and he let her go backwards and forwards to the reef with him as she didn’t want to snorkel but enjoyed the boat ride .
When you go snorkelling you need inclosed beach shoes ( not flip flops ) as it’s very rocky but you can hire them from him for 5€ .
The food was really tasty and a good selection, all hot and the salad was kept nice and cool .
Breakfast I would say was like a small all inclusive similar to somewhere in Greece all Dinners had a good variety and the buffet restaurants staff were all kind and friendly.
The entertainment/ animation team were all really good fun and friendly , Mohamed , Jana and Omar absolutely did the team proud with Aqua aerobics in the sea every morning, they adopted “Nanna” and by the end of the week she was everyone’s Nanna including the waiters , beach staff and animation teams !
A really lovely hotel that the management should be really proud of , we’ll definitely return .

Great hotel, in a good location, with a cool beach! I arrived at night and were checked into a room whose windows overlooked the backyard, where the ventilation was very noisy. The next day, without any problems, we were moved to a room whose windows overlooked the garden. Peace and quiet! In the mornings, ginger cats came to visit, purred something and left. What I needed most from a vacation was the sea, and it completely justified itself. Wide, large beach, sandy entry into the water, no slippers needed, the water is clean and transparent. I immediately stocked up on a mask and fins that I bought in the Old Town and went on a boat to a distant beach to look at the colorful fish. I really liked it! The Old Town is just a stone's throw away; in the evening there are places to stroll and do some shopping. A very beautiful mosque, unfortunately, we were never able to get inside. There are plenty of ATMs, and there were no problems with issuing cash using our Union Pay card. Payment also took place where I tried it, and this is the hotel itself, where I had to pay for the services of the spa center and a detox at Sharma airport. The hotel's spa center has an excellent sauna and steam room, but for an additional fee. Since I am a fan of this business, I went every day, although the price of 20 euros per hour, according to other tourists, is a little high, and here one cannot but agree with them. In terms of food, in principle, I was completely satisfied with everything: the porridge I needed was there in the morning, fruits and juices were always available, meat was also present for lunch and dinner. There was seafood, but there wasn’t much fish, and if there was any, it didn’t taste very good, but I ate it with pleasure a couple of times. There is delicious ice cream on the beach. I can’t say anything about the bar; I didn’t take anything there except water. In general, to summarize, I would like to say that there are probably some nuances, but these are all little things, since the beach and the sea are simply gorgeous and cover up any minor shortcomings that are not worth paying attention to at all. The staff is polite and tries hard, for which many thanks to all of them, for their work and attention to vacationers. I’ll definitely come back again and take Captain Aziz to a distant beach to swim with the fish, if the opportunity arises. Positive everyone and have a good rest!

First visit to Egypt for me, and on the whole a great experience.

Iberotel palace hotel review. First, the not so good points about this place.

Our room was booked as a superior double, but we were given what I would describe as a standard twin on arrival. We were one of at least 4 other couples who had the same problem, so we asked to change our room. It took reception 24hrs to sort this out, so we lived out of the suitcase for the first part of the holiday, but they did eventually sort this for us.

The all-inclusive doesn't include the mini fridge or snacks in the room, so this will cost extra.

The main pool was cloudy and looked dirty for 2 days during our stay after the water level had dropped, so we found ourselves using the smaller lower pool during this time..

Now the good thing..

The above points were only minor ones, as on the whole, this place was amazing from the minute you walked through the door.

All the staff just couldn't do enough, from reception through to the beach and pool workers. The whole hotel was spotless and cleaners we're constantly sweeping around us. Our room cleaner made figure's out of towels every day ranging from a peacock to an elephant, and the air conditioning in the room was very cold in what was a very hot week with wall to wall sunshine. Just watch out for the shower floor as the marble gets slippery when wet.

food choices we're good with plenty to choose from even for the fussy eater. I was never stuffed but always pleasantly satisfied after meal times. We tried the Italian al-a-carte which was equally as good with plenty of choices and friendly staff on hand to make your visit special.

We reguregularly tipped staff small amounts but well worth doing.

Plenty of sunbeds and most of the daytime entertainment is centred on the beach which makes the pool area quieter and more relaxed.

The evening entertainment wasn't the best, but the team did try hard and if you support them they will respond and entertain you.

The free boat to the corals was great and we took advantage of this experience several times during our stay.

All the staff worked very hard but a special mention to Mohammad at the beach who looked after my sunbeds everyday, and Mohammad Ali at the poolside who kept us going with drinks all day every day. My favourite however was Islam from the lobby bar who was funny, friendly and super efficient with his service. He really did look after us in the evenings and is a credit to this hotel.

The location of this place was another bonus with the Old Sharm square just opposite, so you had somewhere to wander in the evening which was safe if you wanted to shop or have a drink.

Egypt, you have done us proud, and we will definitely be returning to see your super friendly, hard-working people soon.

We were able to return after an 8 year gap, having stayed at this hotel probably for 10 years running. It was a joy to find that all the good things about the hotel that kept us going back were still available, which includes the exceptional service and friendly staff too many of whom to name individually
Customer Relations Manager Mr Youseff went out of his way to welcome us back and made sure our stay was comfortable.
The food was exceptional and had to complement the chief especially on his Lancashire hotpot. The Irish coffees made for us whilst watching the evening entertainment went down a little too well.
On arrival we were allocated the very first room we stayed in at the hotel which shows the detail that goes into ensuring your stay is stress free.
A one minute walk from our room to the lovey sandy beach for an early morning swim, and then breakfast, what more could you ask for.
Rooms still comfortable, hotel exceptionally clean, Old Shalm market just across the road for an evening stroll.
We will be retuning soon!

We didn’t think that, being parents of four children, we would love holidays in hotels for adults! This is our second 16+ hotel in Sharm. We often fly on vacation, mainly to 5* hotels, but this hotel was able to not only surprise us, but also delight us! Soulful atmosphere, wonderful well-trained staff, beauty, cleanliness and order all around, magnificent, I would even say exquisite cuisine. Everything is just super!!!
Special thanks and greetings to Osama, I ask the manager to mention this employee - he is truly a professional in his field, he solved any of our questions in a time or two, we always felt like the most beloved and dear guests in your hotel. We ordered the a la carte restaurant twice, for my birthday and wedding date. The cuisine is of course amazing, the ingredients are fresh. Everything was so perfect that there was nothing to complain about. We will definitely return next year.
I recommend the hotel for couples aged 45+, for a quiet, measured holiday; young people may find it a bit boring here, although the hotel is located in an elite location and within walking distance from the mosque and the old city, you can find any entertainment you like outside the hotel. There is no reef in the hotel, the entry into the sea is gentle, the sand is soft, the water is crystal clear and warm in this windless bay. This is our best January vacation in Egypt 👍!!!

We spent a brilliant couple of weeks at the Iberotel in Sharm. This is an excellent hotel in an envious location. The lovely sandy beach is directly at the rear of the hotel and the town is easily accessible to the front of the hotel. l think what really makes this hotel are the lovely staff. They are all genuinely friendly and really helpful and always greet you with a smile despite working long hours and for I suspect low wages! Small tips are readily appreciated but not expected as a matter of course. I really think it impossible and probably unfair to single any particular member of staff out ...they are all excellent. A small example of how helpful staff are.... I required some small Egyptian change for tipping.... the man on the desk next to reception unfortunately did not have change but did no more than run outside to the road and stop some passing taxi drivers exchanging my larger notes for some smaller ones!
The food is marvellous, so varied and well presented and would, I think, easily caters for all tastes. Meal times were a delight.
The hotel and rooms are well appointed comfortable and everywhere is kept extremely clean, a testament to the ever industrious staff. Our bedroom was cleaned every day, towels and sheets changed daily/almost daily. The attention to detail was perfect.
The location is superb. The beach is glorious. There are plenty of sun beds under shades, absolutely no need to reserve these, but of course many do and then unfortunately proceed to selfishly leave the beds vacant for large parts of the day. We did not use the pool areas much preferring the beach but theses areas are lovely, and clean.
We went on a trip to Luxor with Sharm Excursions ( part of Travco group ) organised for us by Tui whilst staying in Sharm. This was a marvellous experience so well organised and led by Abdullah an amazingly knowledgeable and interesting Egyptologist. If you do go outside Sharm you will probably need a Visa. I tried to get one online and failed miserably to complete the application.... so easy to get one on arrival at the airport. For 25 US dollars they are handed out at the kiosks without any form filling.

We returned from our third visit in May , so clearly we liked this hotel or would not have been returning, however since new Manager took over there were many changes and we felt standards had dropped considerably since our first visit .
Arrival.
We arrived as restaurants were closing , before there had been a platter of food in rooms, with bottle of wine and fruit this time there was nothing to eat , we got crisps from bar.

Sunbed Mattresses.
Mattresses had been replaced from last visit with nice comfy ones , asked for Mattresses on beach around 8am , told they had all gone and offered old gym mats , to me every guest should be treated the same and they should have enough for all guests .

Food .
Standard has dropped and cheaper options offered eg Beef Wellington was not made with fillet , was tough and chewy unless you went early evening the food was often cold and inedible .

Entertainment.
Animation team very young with no direction, singer on terrace supposed to do two 45 minutes sets , never did took half hour break then would do another 30 minutes tops. Entertainment finished at 10 pm , then the most awful looped jazz music previously you could then go to Borsalino pub where there was another singer until 11.30 pm , small inviting tables no longer outside pub looked as if they didn't want you there. Asked who wanted to do karaoke one night , then after 1 hour said it was too late to carry on to people who had wanted to sing, that was a shame as bought all nationalities together.

Staff as always brilliant and did all they could , but as leaving Manager came round asking if we had enjoyed our holiday , I was honest and told him not as good as as previous holidays and he did not even ask why it what issues were, three other couples told him the same and just not interested.

Such a shame as we really loved this hotel and the staff but no longer value for money , management not interested as they now have other nationalities there, felt like loyal guests didn't matter anymore

Dear Jacqui C Thank you for your feedback, we always appreciate objective holiday reviews. I can assure you, the points you addressed will be taken into consideration. Meanwhile, we apologize that your holiday was not up to expectations. Nevertheless, I would like to confirm that changes and upgrades of hotels’ services from time to time is natural, healthy and meant to be for improvement. and in our case they meet the satisfaction of the majority of our new and loyal repeat guests. This can be measured by the hotel high occupancy from different nationality as a harmonious guests’ mix while keeping the maximum of our repeat guests. However, in very rare individual cases some guests prefer to see everything as it was, definitely some services as entertainment quality based of particular artists’ availability can’t last forever. My team and I sincerely hope nothing will refrain you from visiting the hotel again, assuring you that we will do our best to meet your expectations. Best Regards Tarek Sanad General Manager

I visited for a week between 08-15th December 2024.
Myself and one other friend. We had separate rooms, to which I emailed in advance asking if we could be next door to each other - The hotel facilitated this request. (Thank you!)

We stayed in rooms 4217 & 4215 - Ground floor with a lovely terrace outside that overlooked the very well kept and immaculate gardens. This room choice was amazing as we were away from any noise caused from the beach or pool areas, plus limited foot traffic too.

Rooms were kept amazingly clean - Mohammed is a lovely member of your team and kept our rooms spotless!
Rooms had everything that was needed. Only thing I needed was an iron and ironing board to which I left a note for Mohammed and within a few hours it was delivered to my room and I was able to use it for the remainder of my holiday.

Location is great - Across the road from the Old Market and Shahaba Mosque.
Local currency is taken (Egyption Pounds) but also US Dollar and even British pounds too.
We both took USD with us.

Hotel is fantastic, so clean and Reception just smells amazing!
Being female and solo travellers, we felt extremely safe here with both security at the entrance and also either side of the private beach.

Well kept and maintained hotel - Staff really are a credit to the hotel.
Always had a smile on their faces and go out of their way to ask how your day was and to wish you well.

Mohamed Ali - He looks after the pool bar during the day and also covers the Alu Carts in the evening, he really made our stay memorable. Despite working long days, he always had a smile on his face and kept us flowing with drinks. Absolute credit to your hotel!

Food was plentiful and cooked well. For us, the hotel was super clean and had everything we wanted for the week. We had the most amazing time and I intend on visiting again in 2025!

Thank you to you all for giving us the best week's stay!

A fantastic hotel with superb staff and food. Nothing is any trouble. It's handy to have a pen & a photograph of your passports on your phone/tablet, the details are needed to complete the Egypt landing cards, these are usually handed out on the flight an hour or so before landing. No visa charge is payable unless your travelling out of Sharm or staying more than 15 days! USA dollars are best value for Visas because its £25, $25 or €25.
We used Sharm Travel Club private transfers £20 return, they are even cheaper if booked via Booking.Com
The food is plentiful and of a variety that you won't struggle to find something you like, Salads, Veg food, and sound, burgers, meats, all served piping hot and cooked as you like by the many chefs. Bottled water is replenished daily in your room, along with quality tea bags and Nescafe coffee satchets. There is a kettle in the room and hairdryer affixed to the wall in the bathroom. There is a free lockable safe in your wardrobe. Along with a limited amount of hangers, I usually take 6 more hangers. USA $1 notes are best for tips as coins are accepted but are a pain for the staff to exchange. The room TV is good with a few English channels and the WiFi is good throughout. The main bar closes at midnight and the nightly entertainment finishes around 11pm so there is no problem with noise, the late pub bar down by the beach is open til around 1am and I think aloholic drinks are chargeable after midnight.
Special thank you to Mr Ali the hotel manager & the immaculate Mr Yousef guest relations who are always about to help with anything.
Mr Osama, Mr Sayed & Mr Sameh who run the bars and restaurants, they ensure your plates are full and your glass never empty.
The local Stella draft beer is fine as are the local Gin and other spirits, nothing to stop you buying a bottle of your favourite tipple at duty free and have it on hand in your room if needed to add abit more flavour!
Mr Ahmed runs the fabulous reception team and if you need anything from local knowledge or advice they can assist with taxis ect, thanks Mr Farouk.
Lastly our room was kept tip top by Mr Mohammed, fun daily towel shapes and all amenities replenished without fuss and always a smile. Thank you everyone and see you all again soon. Stay safe.

What an absolutely fantastic week at the Iberotel Palace ! The service was fantastic throughout our stay - the staff were friendly but respectfully so. The difference between our experience at this hotel and our trip to Hurghada last year were like night and day. Travelling as two females felt a bit daunting given our experience in Egypt last year both with the over friendliness of staff and the pressure to tip. We didn't experience any of this at Iberotel, there was never any pressure to trip whatsoever and we never felt uncomfortable.

The rooms are really clean and very comfortable, the Aircon didn't seem to go below 22.5 Celsius but we did raise this with the reception before we left.

The food is brilliant, great range of options and it never felt too repetitive . The A la carte Restaurants were good, the italian being our favourite. And the service, again, was exceptional.

The absolute highlight of our trip was the Aqua nabq diving centre which you can find just by the beach to the right of the blue marine restaurant. We ended up booking THREE trips with them directly because the service was so so so brilliant and the prices for the boat trips and scuba driving exceptional. The TUI rep will try and persuade you not to book trips with the dive centre and will make reference to lack of insurance etc - please do not listen to them, if you do, you'll end up paying 3 times the price and be squashed onto a boat with 30 people.

Our first trip was to Tiran Island and there was only 4 of us on the entire boat. The service, time and focus we experienced was brilliant. It was so great we booked another trip to Tiran ( and were taken to 3 different spots ). We also went to Ras Mohamed which was sensational too, particularly for scuba diving. There will never be more than 15 people per trip, the boat is huge and beautifully kept. The entire staff both within the dive centre and on the trips was outstanding and above all so much fun !! Our instructor Mohammed Kishek was so experienced, patient ( as new divers) and above all such a good laugh.

All in all, this was one of my favourite trips and I would 100% return without question.
