Hotel's Favorite
This is our second time at SG and we weren't disappointed. We booked directly with the hotel and what a pleasure it was to deal with the customer service/ booking team. We requested a ground floor garden view suite located at the North 38 adult-only pool, and they ensured we got what we requested. They really value returning guests. Our room was clean spacious and had a fabulous jacuzzi bath big enough for two adults as well as a dressing room. The food, drink and especially the staff is amazing and in all honesty the staff makes this resort feel like home. Even though we’ve not been there for 8 years some staff remember us and treated us like family. Unfortunately, we cannot name every single person that made our stay really special but the people that stood out were, Moustafa (Spa), Fathy (N38 pool bar), Lofty (dining room), Mohammed (N 38 pool). The person that really made me feel special was of the Chefs (whose name I can't recall- but he’s the only chef with amazing hair red hair). He looked out for us at each meal to recommend the local dishes that we should try to make our stay unique and authentic. I booked myself in for a manicure and I walked away with feet as soft as the day I was born. One of the nicest things about this resort is the fact they have beach with two jetty’s to snorkel from. We went first thing in the morning before anyone else even ventured down and had the beach and the snorkelling spots to ourselves which was magical. The is a Tuff Tuff running around the resort to ensure it’s accessible for everyone or those who can’t be brothers to walk back up the hill. We walked to get our steps in and burn some of the delicious food off. My partner is a runner and felt very safe to run outside the resort on the main roads, but we would always advice people to be cautious. During the day it was warm enough but evenings get's chilly this time of year so I would recommend taking something warmer than summer dresses and shorts. On check out day the lovely chap cleaning our room daily lefty’s a little travel pack with a travel pillow, eye mask and ear plugs for our flight. Nice little touch. We recommend this resort to everyone we speak share our lovely experience with. We also met some amazing people and planning to meet up in the UK. Thank you to the entire team at Sultan Gardens for making our stay as special as the first time. We will be back.

We arrived at the sultan gardens late in the evening having read the reviews and had it recommend by friends. Our flight out ws delayed so it was dark on our arrival so we didnt realise how remote the area was on the stretch of road along with the 3 other hotels and a small selection of tourist `nick nack`shops. The second pharmacy furthest away from the hotel was a welcomed visit. We ate before the restaurant closed and had a drink, the food selection was adequate for our late arrival. the staff were very welcoming and we went to our room 469 which was a stones throw from the beach front overlooking the gardens, which in the morning got full sun. The hotel was nice but i wouldnt say 5 star maybe 4 compared with other hotels we`ve stayed in however there are renovations ongoing which doesnt effect your stay they are very concious of guests and surroundings. Please remember to ask for your room to be sprayed against mosquitos and take a plug in repelant because you cant see them you just feel it when they bite and boy did we get bitten 2 days in. Hence the welcomed purchases from the pharmacy. The reception and bar upstairs is nice and a welcoming cool from the days heat if needed along with the outside seating at the top patio area at the rear of reception, the waiter service for drinks was excellent. FOOD....very sweet and sugary of a morning with a large selection of pastries, pancakes waffle and donuts, if you want bland, theres fruit, cereal and bread along with a selection of eggs. salads and other food available but no cold meats /cheese as such because they dont do bacon or ham, its formed chicken meat sliced or grille items, enough to start the day. Fresh orange is payable but at pennies per glass so worth having as the normal juice is very sweet and concentrated. Lunch and evening meal had a varied selection and there was always something on the grill to chose including pasta and english selection if your not for trying other selections. We didnt try the wine selection, but the beer was very drinkable along with the spirits. we did have ice in our drinks which was safe however all 4 of us came down with severe upsets and sickness 5 days into the holiday so im unsure if the ice played a part in this. Our illness started the day after a tri quad biking in the desert and a Bedouin evening where they has BBq food and bottled water and canned drinks but offered tea which i drank the others didnt and they became ill 24hrs later. We have put it down to this food, possibly the ice and the toxins from the mosquito bites as our friends having seen their GP once home are on anti-biotics. i unfortunatly suffered on our flight back once at altitude and spent the majority of the flight in the loo along with the next 3 days after. My wife suffering once she got home for 5 days and so 11 days home we arent 100% right but getting here so please be carefull. The submarine trip was worth the money as you saw some wonderful fish and coral and these are arranged through a chap who is allowed to come into the complex th arrange trips. North38 the adult are pool isnt as big as the others but is big enough with a large jacuzzi and a swim up bar, the bar manager Esseem i think was very good and knew your drinks very quickly. the lifeguard at the pool sorts your towels and your prefernce for sunbeds immediatly and is very chatty and customer focussed. There is the private beach with jetty`s to swim from and places to eat and drink, the fleur de leys beach restaurant was excellent for lunch, the burger bar and pizza were more than enough but the pizza were margarita and dependant on the day there would be peperoni on tuesday maybe and fish pizza thursday, so check what days do what. We booked the indian restaurant one night which was nice having starter and main course only, the portion sizes good, but we couold have shared a rice and a naan bread, feeling bad we couldnt finish all the food. Nothing to do outside the complex so a taxi to SOHO square is worth whils, we arranged one through the hotel who took us to Hard rock cafe at nabq and waited a while before dropping us at SOHO square where we spent a few hours before being picked up by the same driver, and its worth a visit, visually stunning at night with everything lit up and the cleanliness was excellent which is so nice to see, No loitter, no damage or grafitti and you felt very safe walking around. All in all would we go back....No. If your into diving, it has that facility and our other friends dived every few days as they were there for just over 2 weeks. We went for a week and I rarely say this, but we were ready for home after 5 days ... Hot.. I can contend with, but hot, bitten and bored we can`t as much...maybe in a busier area towards Nabq because there were beautiful hotels there and we have been given details of one to visit should we return, but that wont happen sorry. Some of our friends love egypt and can`t believe what happened but each to their own.. Take dollars in 1 and 5..., pounds or euros (not coins) because staff prefer this and the guy doing the trips wants payment ideally in pounds..There are cash machines just outside which are safe and we only use revolute cards anyway so no charges even drawing cash out.. Being only 10 mins from the airport we were later advised that the transport booked for 4 of us with the holiday was dearer than a taxi from the airport and return but you dont know these things. i believe the hotel will send one of the taxi`s which wait at the hotel and arent just street cabs for you if you phone and ask which means your less chance of paying over the odds. Not our greatest holiday, the staff were good and a small tip regularly certainly helped us being served promptly and it helps them out, ive always believed in tipping. Bit mixed on reviews from me, the other reviews i read certainly paint a better more positive picture but we can only say what we experienced. Happy holidays - i think we will stick more with cruises.

Dearest team of Sultan Gardens, I have spent an amazing one week with my husband in this hotel thanks to the staff. The hotel has a quite large area for recreation. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food has lots of variety and all delicious. Above all, the staff is absolutely amazing and made our holiday special. I’d like to thank Olya and Memo from the animation team. They are energectic, lovely, funny and gives good motivation. Also Jena for lovely yoga sessions 🥰 Another special thanks to Mohammed working as a server. He is quite hardworking and still smiling all the time. Thank you and will definetly be back!

The hotel was very clean, all the staff were very polite. As a first time visitor, I had a very pleasant few days. The animation team was also very lively and cheerful. Memo, Anya, Olga, Murdi, Murdi, Misha, Omar and other friends whose names I can't remember made a lot of effort for us to have a good time. You should definitely not be late to experience the reefs and the sea here.

My husband has written a review but I just wanted to add a couple of things! Sultan Gardens staff really are genuine and lovely people. They all work so hard. Please be generous with tips if you receive high standards of service. The grounds are immaculate with beautiful trees, plants and flowers. All areas are kept incredibly clean. We enjoyed the Spa and found the treatments really enhanced our relaxation. Don’t hesitate to book. Tito helped us with booking trips and diving and we highly recommend that you speak to him about what you need. The Eagle divers team are incredible. The beach is gorgeous and we much preferred the quiet end. Wish there were more ‘padded’ sun loungers as I found the regular blue ones not so comfortable. The North 38 pool was excellent but again, better loungers would be very welcome. At times the music by the pool was very repetitive and too loud for me which did impact my enjoyment. Nasser at North 38 is a legend and the bar servers also excellent. We liked the buffet and were looked after impeccably by Lofty and Mohamed Maher. Huge thanks to them and the team. Our preference would be for more a la carte restaurants if we were to consider a longer stay. Good little shop opposite, go and see Bob for your fresh Aloe Vera. We enjoyed having henna tattoos with DaVinci (but check the price before he starts!!). Well done Sultan Gardens!

5 Star Hotel! Ok I have Arthritis and have bad flare-ups. We got to the hotel at 9:30 pm and where met by a happy team on the reception desk, they said would we like dinner, and we walk off to the restaurant. My foot was puffy from the plane trip and I asked for some ice to help my swelling, this was done so quickly by the restaurant manager Lofty! Where to start with Lofty, he looked after us as if we were royalty or filmstars. Nothing was to much, and when he was not around he had spoken to all the staff about my foot, as the first thing Mohammad our waiter asked us was can get you some ice for my foot. Lofty would walk with me to help me carry my food from the buffet area to the table . Lofty, made sure we had a table not far from the buffet area. I’ve working in hospitality for a long time and can say that lofty and his team delivered 5 star plus service for the 10 day we were at the hotel. Reception staff could not be more helpful in answering questions we had and if they couldn’t answer they would come back to us very quickly with the answer😊 Restaurants, the Indian restaurant services was on point and our waiter looked after us was brilliant. The Italian restaurant food and service for me was the best. The buffet food! The chefs in front of the food were always there to help with dietary needs or if I wanted the cheese cake that I couldn’t find they would make sure they found some and they would find me in the restaurant and bring me that dessert, THIS IS exceeding customer expectations I’m my eyes and thank you Sultan gardens! We had a beautiful room in the Adult area facing the Adult pool. Nasserss, the pool man. What a man, he would put our towels out and move the umbrella to the best place to cover us from the sun and would come and make a towel pillow for us without asking him. The swim up bar, the pool was beautifully warm and shaded an d the barman would remember my favourite drink and have this ready at the bar when I swam up to it. The room cleaning person again made sure the room was cleaned beautifully and always asked if there was anything we needed for the room like water , coke, Fanta, and cream sodas. Thank you Sultan Gardens and the staff for a wonderful stay and we are looking to be back in January 2024.

We very recently stayed as a family of 4 for 10 days at this fantastic resort and will absolutely be returning again in the future. To start with, pre-holiday, Adelia from the Guest Relations team attended to our requirements and helped us with room and transfer requests. I won't book through Thomas Cook again, I'll book straight with the hotel in future because they are extremely efficient and welcoming. Our room was perfect for us and beautifully cleaned and maintained everyday by our guy. Sultan Gardens is large but not overwhelming and it really does have a superb beachfront location. Every day we ate lunch overlooking the sea and white sands before enjoying some snorkelling - the coral and reefs are supervised by lifeguards and so it is as stunning as it should be with everyone respecting it but enjoying it too. The swimming pools are great and you have different options to choose from depending on if you want to chill or have a bit of entertainment and music around you. Our kids were never out of them or off the slides and the lifeguards were friendly and always making sure everyone was safe. Big shout out to Mohammed and Saiid who make sure you have a spot to chill in and don't need to be dragging a sun lounger around first - plus they do magic tricks to amaze your kids - great fun. The restaurants are popular, no surprise, because the food is delicious. We're vegetarians and the choices have come along way since my last trip to Egypt 20 years ago. The restaurant staff were really accommodating with us to make sure we had what we needed including a choice of nut milks. Whatever you like to eat, there is something for everyone and a great range of choices. The hotel staff are friendly, fun and helpful and none more so than the animation team who our kids adored! Shout out to Misha, Memo, Eto and Francesca for their energy and for keeping us active during our stay - they lent me a yoga mat too so thank you for that. The evening shows are great fun and really varied too. I have to mention this - our daughter cut her chin (total accident) on the first day and needed 3 stitches. The medical centre, Dr Ahmed, Nurse Mahmoud, the hotel and pool staff were incredible making sure she was looked after and her treatment was first class. Despite it being a relatively minor injury, Dr Ahmed and Nurse Mahmoud were excellent - thorough, caring, helpful, professional. They went above and beyond to ensure our daughter was happy, comfortable and healed throughout our stay and it didn't impact on our holiday at all. I felt completely at ease with their medical expertise. Of course you don't want to have to visit a medical centre on holiday but if you did, you'd be better looked after than a private London hospital! Needless to say my daughter is not even left with a mark some 3 weeks later, let alone no scar. If you are about to jet off to this great hotel then enjoy! And if you're wondering whether to book - I recommend you do!
