I landed on mew years day in the worst storm Egypt has had for years. People struggled to get a taxi or even leave the airport but the taxi driver Amar was incredible and managed to fight his way through to pick me up even though his car was basically swimming!

Got to the hotel and my family were already there as they flew out for Christmas. The welcoming I received by the staff was amazing! Had a wonderful cocktail brought to be by the amazing Hassan! And my bags taken by another staff member! I knew I was right at home as soon as I stepped into the hotel!!

The next day I met the lovely Kimo who is the chief of animation for the hotel. What a guy! He’s so funny and welcoming and really gets everybody involved in the entertainment! Definitely the best animation team I’ve had in any hotel I’ve stayed at!!

The bar staff are the most incredible people especially! Hassan, Reda, Mahmoud, Tamer and Said are the most welcoming and helpful people I’ve ever met! Nothing is too much for them even if you fancy a cola at the pool they will literally go to the ends of the earth for you! Honestly wouldn’t have been as good of a holiday if they weren’t there! Loved them so much🥰

The hotels beautiful, the cleaning is amazing and you get fresh new towels everyday and something special always made in your bed!
The food is also amazing! Nice and hot and definitely enough for everyone!

Have now booked to go back in May and August because we love it so much there!!

See you soon you wonderful people💙💙

Had an amazing time staying at the old Vic. Staff were really friendly & helpful if you ask them for something. Food although repetitive was good & it's up to you if you eat the same meal each day but there's plenty to make different meals. Never had bad belly or sickness so the hygiene was good. Areas around the hotel are kept clean & a lovely pool there. Only thing is that our room wasn't cleaned during our stay but everyday they would leave us clean towels & changed the bins. Bed was changed after a week which was fine by me. If you want these things I suggest you pay to stay at an expensive hotel & not this wonderful budget one. Was in a good location & had all I needed when I got the free shuttle to their beach. They have their own lifeguard which was a bonus. You don't have to tip in Egypt but the staff are so happy when you do that they go above & beyond. I tipped after around 3 days only 50 Egyptian (equivalent to £1.50) to one of the staff in the restaurant as did my two friends but to different staff. I didn't think their smiles could get any bigger but they did!! Tipped the room cleaners who did some beautiful towel art & even one of the cleaners who was over the moon. Didn't tip everyday & over 2 weeks probably only spent around £10 so be kind to the staff there, they work hard & long hours. It is a quiet hotel with a little entertainment but you can always go out in the evenings to do what you want. Overall I would be more than happy to stay here again. Felt welcomed & safe during my stay as did my two friends. Thankyou to all the staff at old Vic, you are all amazing.

I loved this hotel , yes it’s rated budget. But it’s clean, the staff are friendly and very welcoming and friendly. Any problems where dealt with immediately. I celebrated my 50th birthday and the hotel put beautiful towel art on my bed, made me a cake giving it to me at lunch singing happy birthday. All day everyone wished me happy birthday, I had cocktails made for me and brought to my Sunbed. I loved it. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be returning again and again

First thing - the room was disgusting and dirty. Bathroom wasn't cleaned for weeks, I guess. The mirror and the glass door on there was totally dirty. The carpet on the room was worn out and also not clean. Under the beds there were trash and dust. We booked one large bed and one for the kid - we got 3 small beds. They promised a view, but we only had high white stone wall behind the window. First evening there was rain and wind, and it was almost breaking the balcony glass doors, because they are old and tired. The room didn't had any water to drink. Pool didn't had any heating, so the water was too cold to swim in. Food was every day the same, not enough protein, tasteless cakes, fish which tastes like mud. Drinks by the pool were supposed to be served until 5, but 4:45 the bartender was already gone. Hotel beach was small and the tanning beds were dirty and worn out. We got an opportunity to visit the restaurant "Amigooo" 1 time per stay. That's not a restaurant, that's just a big sad joke. Lights were blinking, air was full of burned food steam. Caesar salad was just iceberg+ fried chicken, nothing else. Caprese salad was just plain tomato slices and this weird egyptian cheese (originally it's Italian salad, made of sliced fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and sweet basil, seasoned with salt and olive oil). They gave us opened bottle of water and all the other foods there were unpleasant too. At the end, the cleaner-man stole our metal spoon from the room.

Here goes....so reception check in was fine and polite. Our room was ok too, although the balcony was dirty, the light on it was not working, nor was the light in the bedroom. The bed was comfy but the room wasn't really clean such as behind chairs etc. The hotel itself did not reflect the pictures, it looked old and shabby.

Having arrived in the evening we went down to the buffet no later than 8pm, as it closed at 9pm. There had been a bbq and we had a choice of chicken wings and fish. Just 2 small trays worth available. There was one small row of things like plain pasta, which was in a steel tray that the lid had broken off, the most insipid looking potatoes I'd ever seen. The salad had to be served with a fork..that took a while! I had white wine served in a shot glass. So I asked for a cocktail which was like drinking old dish water. We left hungry and thirsty.

So we tried the bar. Well I say bar, more of an after thought shoved in a corner. We were told white wine was only served with dinner and they did not serve beer! So we sat in the terrace area where one very kind staff member did bring me shots of wine from the restaurant..I say restaurant in the loosest possible terms.

There was no entertainment at all. And we were literally annihilated by mozzies. I know this happens but these were bites like never before! My partner was literally dined out on, which is quite ironic given we hadn't!

We made the decision to look for a new hotel immediately the following morning. We advised reception we were checking out and he made some kind of note on whatsapp of the complaints. When we advised how poor the food was, he asked if we wanted to speak to the chef! Why would we!? He also asked if we wanted a better room, which obviously we couldn't decline fast enough.

We were driven to our new hotel by the hotel taxi. Upon discussion with the taxi driver regarding the quality of food, he said they had started to buy it as cheap as possible due to not enough capacity of guests in the hotel and reduce costs. At least he was honest and very polite too

This hotel literally would have ruined our holiday and it was not cheap. This is no way a 4 star..2-3 at best. So glad we got out the next day and was able to put this whole experience behind us.

Visited the Old Vic Hotel 24/4/22 for a 7 night stay All inclusive.

Party of 6 ladies and 2 18 year old boys.
From start to finish the hotel staff made our holidays stress free and the most relaxed holiday ever and we travel at least 3 times a year.

Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff and we were waited on our every need without asking drinks and food were provided .

The hotel staff including Manager, reception, bar, resteraunt , animation girls, pool attendant, cleaners were amazing, kind , respectful, helpful and truly made our stay a memorable one.

Nothing was too much trouble and the staff went above and beyond.

We all hade pool view large bedrooms for a very clean and comfortable stay.
Food was fresh and we were accommodated if something wasn't there it would be at your next sitting.

Drinks very good quality also.

Beautifully clean pool and surrounding area and gorgeous gardens. Very well kept.

We will all return again very soon.

Thank you to all at the Old Vic.

This was our first time in Egypt and we had a great time at the Old Vic and will definitely return again. The restaurant buffet has lots of choice to suit all tastes and we had no upset tummy. The staff told us they use bottled water for ice which meant I had the ice in drinks and was fine. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We tipped at the beginning of the holiday and again at the end and this seemed to work well. The room was dated but very spacious, clean and the bedding and towels changed daily. There was a handy fridge and kettle in the room. We had plenty of mosquitos in our room and used insect repellent spray day and night and didn’t have any problems. The Wi-Fi signal didn’t reach our room but we had prepared for this and bought a sim at sharm airport and put this into an old mobile and used this as a hot spot for our mobiles, iPad and laptop. It’s advisable to take a plug board if you have several things to charge as there were few spare sockets in the room. Entertainment in the evenings was fun, including a belly dancer who came to the hotel. If you fancy venturing out and a change of food we recommend Napoli restaurant (opposite the hotel and only a couple of minutes walk away). Friendly staff and lovely fresh pizza cooked in an outside oven. There is a handy supermarket and pharmacy next to the hotel. We had very minor gripes such as beer being served in very small glasses and hot drinks served in paper cups. The positives certainly outweighed the minor negatives. Hope this helps anyone querying going to the hotel.

Great hotel especially for solo travellers. The staff there are fantastic! Nothing is too much trouble for them, they go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome. Mr Ali and his restaurant staff are brilliant. They make sure you have everything you need from drinks to the choice at the buffet style food stations. All tastes were catered for and there was always a good choice.
The bar staff at the Pool bar and Lounge bar make sure your glass is never empty, and will bring you drinks to your table if you order at the bar.
A big shout out to ;Mohammed, Osama, Hassan, Mammood, Reda and Mustafa.
I will definitely be returning soon !!

We had a first-time trip and we chose this hotel. First, when we came the receptionist has spilled clothes. We paid for a standard room, we wanted a better room so he asked 13$ for the room after 1min he asked 20$. OK. What did we get? Not clean room, in bathroom water, was leaking, paint peeling off, carpet not cleaned. I took all photos and came back to the receptionist. I was angry and ask another room. He gave another room it was ok, not the best.
Around 23:00 it starts to dung from outside. Food is OK, you will get 1 meat or fish. Wi-fi is terrible. One this guy who works in reception unpleasant. Another comes in the night he's nice.

We visited Old Vic Sharm el Sheikh with five family members. When we arrived we were greeted by Yahia with a warm friendly smile he had read our email and had organised a room with three beds to accommodate my mum and my aunt's all in one room . He was also helpful with any queries during our stay, this included arranging our transfer back to the airport and printing boarding passes. The restaurant and bar staff were all friendly and accommodating nothing was too much to organise. Saad , Hassan , Muhammed, Ahmed, Mustafa, they all worked hard and cartered to our families need whilst our stay, this included a surprise birthday cake for my aunt and indian curry for my husband because he was carving home cooked food. Well done to all the staff at the Old Vic. Thank you.
