I love this hotel and I'm happy to come back here. The services of the hotel are sufficient in my opinion and even if there is a problem sometimes, the hotel staff tries to solve everything quickly and mostly with a smile on their face :). The food is always delicious and you can always choose from everything the hotel's cuisine has to offer. I really liked egg omelets for breakfast and during lunch and dinner I always enjoyed perfectly prepared fish and chicken with rice or potatoes. But what I have to praise was the delicious food in the Italian restaurant. The hotel staff is very professional and friendly. If you smile at anyone, they would do anything for you. I really appreciate the work of the bartender in the beach bar and in the Italian restaurant Ibrahima. He is kind and still has a smile on his face no matter what happens. I witnessed one incident that he solved and his professionalism was perfect. The sea is great for snorkeling. The hotel was very busy with Russian tourists, so there was a bit of a problem with sunbeds, but the beach staff always helped us. And the only problem I noticed was that these Russians really couldn't treat the hotel staff, and that bothered me a little. But they are not all the same, there are some decent people among them. Summary: Thank you for a beautiful holiday and amazing moments that were full of relaxation, good food, warm sea, sun, beautiful smiles and I will be happy to return there again ....

As with any review this is our personal experience and view. The check in at Birmingham for the TUI flight was lengthy and disorganised. The flight was good and only 15 mins to the hotel. The room had a beautiful view over the pool and the sea. It is fair to say that the hotel overall is 'tired' and in need of an update throughout. Room - Has safe, TV bath shower and hairdryer, air conditioning and fridge with 2 bottles of water. Pool towels were on the bed and room was cleaned daily. Bed was hard, cracked tiles, bath not cleaned, taps move / not fixed when you turn them on. The water trickled out at best and was virtually non existent after 5pm especially in the shower. The lighting could also do with a revamp and the curtains were hanging off the rails. Balcony with two chairs and table was nice however the sound proofing was not ideal and the music from the nightly show was very loud until around 11pm. The pool area was nice, although again there was loud music from 10 am with a break mid day and then again from around 2pm. The animation team work hard with the usual aqua aerobics, dance classes etc. There is no beach as such but there is a jetty that you can snorkel off and see the reef and lots of fish. Sunbeds need updating ( many broken or worn) and unless you get up at 5,30 am by 7am you had little chance of securing a bed. Many were lying on the grass areas. There is a pool bar and a station serving burgers 12 to 2 and pizza from 3 to 4. There were only 4 british people in the whole of the hotel ( with 2 more arriving later in the week) The food and entertainment was aimed at the Russians who were the main occupants. If you like mash potato ( bfast dinner and evening) beef stew, chicken thighs, rice, pasta and lemons and limes you are OK if not then there is little other choice. The Italian has the same set menu and again consists of pizza and pasta with rice. All the food was like warm at best. However there was not enough of anything - plates, cups, tables, cutlery and regrettably the other holidaymakers were extremely rude, push past and grab everything in site taking huge platefuls of everything. The drinks are all in small plastic cups and the crockery is chipped and damaged ( when you can grab one) There are not enough tables and we felt sorry for the staff Three in the whole of the restaurant. We feel very sorry for them ( they work 30 days in a row and get 5 days off for every 30 they work). On a positive note they loved the english and couldnt do enough for us. Every one was saying ' welcome back' and they appeared to be really pleased that the english are now visiting again. Tipping is welcomed and if you pay the sunbed man he does save you a sunbed each day. In terms of covid measures there was little evidence of any - no masks no sanitiser, no social distancing, no cleaning measures and certainly none of the measures that they advertise on the monitors around the hotel ( cleaning luggage, disposable pen on check in all staff checked and vaccinated , pools cleaned, floors disinfected etc- all none existent) They also continually come round asking you to attend the spa for a massage There was rarely soap in the toilets, often no toilet paper and sometimes not even any water !. The wifi is only available in one area and is poor at best. We could not get any connection to complete our passenger locator form - luckily one of the staff on reception tethered to his wifi and we were able to complete. The entertainment try their best but it is mostly in russian ( name that tune) so we were unable to join in. Soho Square is literally 10 mins walk ( our of the hotel and to the left) although the prices are high compared to say the Old Market Trips range from £18 up to over £200 to fly to Cairo. We went on glass bottom boat and tour of old market which was good - although they take you to two shops of their choosing first and you had to sit through a talk about the spices / perfume oils. Haggling is key and they usually come down by at least 50% from the original price. You can pay in english pounds ( which they seem to prefer), dollars, euros or egyptian money Approx 20 EGP to one UK pound. There is also a shuttle bus which is £3 to go into either naama bay or the old town. The return check in was horrendous. Luckily we were some of the first there. There are numerous checks - initial luggage and full body scan / search. Check in suitcase Then a second check of passport and finger prints. Then a second check of hand luggage and further passport and documents check. A further full body search. Then passport phones bags etc swabbed and checked. Then at departure gate they were checking hand luggage again. It took some people almost 2 hours. Our flight was due to board at 17.00 and depart at 17.45 It finally boarded after 18.30 (with the subsequent flights to Manchester and Heathrow also similarly delayed) Food at the airport is also very expensive £10 for a burger at burger king. The weather was lovely ( sun sets quite early) but we did have a day of rain ( not the hotels fault!) and they are not really equipped to deal with a hotel full of people who usually would be sitting outside. All in all we had a break from work and the cold UK weather and made the most of our visit but would not be venturing back to this hotel unless some changes are made - updated, more staff and catering for the english clientele.

I’m staying at the siva sharm as I write this we are 2 of 4 brits in the whole place there is no hot water and nobody wants to know the food is awful the whole place is dirty and run down you won’t get a sunbed unless you put your towel out at 2 am we have had to move rooms as the 1st was like a paddling pool yesterday /not bath water you don’t get a change of towels nothing works BRITS STAY AWAY

I spent a perfect holiday in Siva Sharm. I had a beautiful view from the balcony of my big room. The staff of the hotel was incredibly nice, helpful and polite. I have never seen such a nice staff before! Thanks for everything! I will go back to this hotel next year and I highly recommand it to everyone.
