Labranda Club Makadi is commended for its picturesque beach, multiple pools, and various activities, but guests have voiced that the rooms and gym could use refurbishment, and Wi-Fi access is limited. While the hotel's cleanliness generally receives high marks, there have been occasional mentions of room maintenance issues. The hotel's secluded seaside location offers beauty but limited local entertainment.
The food is often described as repetitive, and some beach services incur extra charges, affecting the overall value. Service is usually regarded as excellent, although it can vary. Opinions are divided on the atmosphere, with some finding the entertainment too noisy.

We rested at the end of January for a week. The first acquaintance with the reception turned out to be very pleasant; we checked in and checked in. The room may not be great, but we weren’t going to spend a lot of time in it, the main thing was comfortable beds and the availability of hot water. This is all fine, we don’t focus on the rest. The room was cleaned, bath supplies replenished, and the tea and coffee corner was also regularly replenished.
The area is nice, well-groomed, clean, renovations are underway, but it does not affect the rest, only food is served on the territory of the Royal Five, not to say that this is a minus) Have breakfast and lunch at the beach restaurant. I liked the cuisine, the food was well worth the money paid, there was enough of everything, well prepared. In addition, you can go to a la carte restaurants by appointment. Alcohol was taken occasionally, regular Egyptian. Beer is ok.
We were pleased with the sea and the beach, this is what we actually go to Egypt for, by the way, for excursions too) The beach is spacious, clean, they are constantly cleaning, leveling the sand, placing sun loungers. Beachboys will always kindly help you rearrange the sun lounger, install wind protection, and take care of the guest’s comfort! It's really nice. The entry into the sea is sandy, the bottom is good, we did not use corals. The ebb and flow of the tides are not felt, perhaps because it is in the bay. The water is certainly not warm, quite fresh, well, it’s winter... anyway, we swam every day, never in the pool)
Among the excursions were in Cairo and in the coral reserve of Sharm el Naga. There were a lot of emotions, both were great, there was an option for half a day and a day at the reserve, we took it for the whole day with lunch, we didn’t regret it, the fish were beautiful, we swam with a turtle, super. We re-ordered this from the local company 1sttouroperator; we also traveled with them in the fall. We are very pleased with the quality and service, always accompanied by Russian-speaking guides.
Staff and animation. There are no comments here, the team is excellent, they will always help you with everything, they are attentive and sincere. For all questions and wishes, you can contact the guest service at Lara's reception desk, table near the reception.
We had a great time, we liked everything, we were happy with everything. Consider for a return visit. Prosperity to the hotel!

Labrada Club Makadi
I really liked the hotel, the beach was sandy, but I had to wear shoes because there were small pebbles. Usually check-in is at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, but we arrived very early and they checked us in right away. We went to the hotel by private transfer, we booked through Instagram in advance, it’s very convenient and comfortable. Based on reviews on Instagram, we found the company topegypttour, which was inexpensive and much faster than taking a tour bus. We took excursions from them, good price, I recommend it. The hotel is beautiful and cozy. All inclusive according to the standard program, local alcohol. Despite the crowds of tourists in the main restaurant, there were always free tables, beautifully prepared. There is wi-fi in the hotel lobby, but the Internet was very slow, local guys helped us buy Egypt. SIM card. The rooms are in good condition, have everything you need, towels are changed daily, cleaned every day.

The hotel is amazing! We really enjoyed it. The grounds are small, but everything is very thoughtful, it was convenient to go to breakfast and lunch from the beach or pool, because the dining room is a stone's throw away. Dinners were themed, there was a day of Italian cuisine, Spanish, Slavic, maritime, etc. All very delicious. Al carte restaurants are great, too. Pool beds and beach beds were always found fast enough, towels were changed without problems. The beach itself is a lagoon with a smooth entrance into the sea, the water is clean, swimming there is a pleasure. Also nearby is an island and an insanely beautiful reef.
I want to express my great gratitude to the staff, I don't remember such amazing animators anywhere! The guys are super, everyone, we danced and had a lot of fun, a lot of thanks! Show and disco and everything Activate the fire 🔥 definitely come back again

This is our 2nd time to Egypt 1st at Labranda and unfortunately not a great one.!!! The rooms and hotel is very dated looking and tired. rooms where basic and not cleaned to my standard was mould in the bathroom and strange smell of urine, pool is basic not a lot to do for kids no slides etc beach is lovely great for snorkelling, the food where do I start with this awful worse I’ve had at a hotel lots of choice but so bland and dry caters for more German and Russians and where not fussy eaters but the standard was low we ended up going out to the marina every night which had some beautiful restaurants, do not use the hotel taxis prices are ok but we got dropped off 10 mins away from our location where we wanted to be to be dropped off at some random shop that we didn’t want to go in we did find another taxi company that was brilliant set price cheep drivers on time and didn’t take us to any random shops when asked why we was using another company and told them why they got arsey with us, used the gym a few times very basic needs a lot of improvement half the equipment was out of order, drinks where your typical all inclusive not great Coke Zero tasted strange, not a lot of entertainment for kids they had an animation team again basic nice enough people tho staff was friendly, reception staff where absolutely rude and no help at all only seemed to want to help the Germans and Russians this hotel is a big no go and at a push only a 2 star will not be returning felt so disappointed and just glad to be home

To start with, it's not a hotel for English tourists, as its mainly German and Russian speaking, when we checked in there were only 6 English guests and over a hundred German and Russians and this was reflected in the food that was served, I did struggle to find something I could eat. Our room was very dated but the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a damp and wee smell to it and mould around the bath. If you wanted a sunbed on the beach you need to get up early to "RESERVE" one, my wife went to the beach about 7:30 am and found most of the beds had towels draped over them, but didn't get used till later in the day, it was also happening around the pool. Due to it's location there isn't much to do, so if you enjoy just lying around all day it's fine, if it wasn't for the fact I'd booked a few trips before I left home I would have been bored, it's a shame they didn't provide a shuttle service to the Mini Egypt site which is approx 4 miles away. The constant touts that hassle you in the resort offering a massage/boat trips/tattoos/ atv rides gets a bit tedious when you just want to be left alone and relax. The drinks varies in quantities most of the time I was getting half a glass of froth than beer. But I did notice the Eastern block visitor's were getting full measures. I must say that every single member of staff I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. I would not return or recommend this hotel when there is more of the world to visit.

Dear valued guest We would like to thank you for taking time to review your feedback with us. Regarding your review, we would like t clarify that our hotel welcomes all guests from all nationalities and all ages. concerning sunbeds, also be noted that we have our recreation team all over the beach in order to help the guests to find sunbeds or any requests. Also we have a red flag to put on your sunbed on the beach or pool to prevent sellers from disturbing you. And according to our fact sheets our WI-FI works in all the public areas, currently we do not have WI-FI in rooms. Once again, thank you for your informative review and hope to see you again. Yours sincerely, Hedi Ben Aissa, CEO Of MPE Hotels And the entire team

I'm making a brief summary but there is a lot to say:
Pool: very good, be careful people get up early (6am) leave their towels and come back much later. Also be careful, parents swim with their little ones in this pool even though there is a paddling pool for them, resulting in an unprotected baby doing his business = pool closed for the afternoon! When it’s 40° it’s hard!
Restaurants: the morning and lunch buffets are outside, in the shade (phew), fans to create air, if you like birds don't hesitate, they come and eat in the bowls and sometimes on the tables next to you, so you can share with them. You feel like you have a choice, that’s not true, it’s always the same thing and honestly it’s not good! The evening restaurant is near reception, it’s stupid that’s when it’s nice outside (less hot). They do quick meals, an interesting idea but it causes unacceptable queues, for example in the morning you want scrambled eggs the waiter prepares them in front of you (nice) it takes 3 minutes, so those behind are waiting for you. In short, if you have a quick meal (omelette, fries, etc.), you won't be eating with your partner!!
Room: very average, even outdated, the joints in the bathroom are rotten, the air conditioning works well whether you set it to 30° or 15° it does the same thing, the only positive point is that it is spacious . The balcony large enough for 2.
Animation: it’s simple, if there wasn’t it would be the same thing. The entertainers go around the pool in the morning to say hello, and at 5 p.m. to say goodbye.. and yes, the evening entertainment is an external service!! Only one host stands out, her name is Hana…
Organization: fti is conspicuous by its absence, very little information, if you have a question do not miss the person concerned!! The hotel staff is not friendly, at reception they make no effort, only 2 servers (at the outside bar) are friendly.
Excursions: if you can manage on your own, do it!
Excursions: we visited Luxor (very good) we left at 5 a.m. (got up at 4 a.m.) returned at 9:40 p.m., it's long.. and the worst is that you no longer have the right to the buffet because it's stops at 9:30 p.m., and yes, the agency didn't tell us that!
As a reminder, you are in the Maghreb, so you are constantly being accosted, whether on an excursion or around the swimming pool, it’s boring!!! Not to mention that even when you pay for your excursion you are still asked for a tip (guide, bus driver)…
Come on, I'll stop even if there's still so much to say...
In short, Egypt is beautiful, Cairo, Luxor, the history of this country.... But the rest is NO!!

We stayed for a short 5 night break, which was great value for the facilities and food available. We had a large family room on the ground floor, which was spacious for just two of us. It was one of the older rooms which hadn’t been updated, but the cleaning staff kept it really spotless.
The WiFi is pretty patchy and non existent in the rooms, which is pretty inconvenient. (I’d recommend buying a travel eSIM if you need to use your phone)
The animation team put a lot of effort into providing entertainment - special mention for Torres.
The buffet food is varied with different themes each evening, with lots of choice. Staff are really helpful and quick to clear plates and refresh drinks.
There are only a couple of downsides -
1. The drinks available are very limited, with local spirits and syrups used to make the only 4 cocktails. I’d recommend going to the beach club, Coco Loco and paying the very reasonable €6 for their more varied selection of cocktails.
2. The hotel allows the promoters of the local activities (boat trips, spa, quad bikes, etc) to try and sell to everyone around the pool and beach. They’re VERY pushy and annoying, and the process of haggling to get a decent price is irritating when all you want to do is relax.
Avoid even starting a conversation with Abdullah from Quad Tour Safari.
Overall a great value hotel, with friendly helpful staff, and a lovely sheltered beach.

We stayed at this hotel twice, in 2021 and 2023. A small area, everything is close to the beach and restaurants, which is very convenient for families with small children.
Entry into the sea and the beach are the best nearby. And if you want to take a walk, then you can go along the beach to the territory of neighboring hotels to shops and look at the fish on the pontoon.
The hotel has good animation that speaks different languages. Lisa speaks Russian, which made us very happy. They entertain both children and adults from morning to evening. The program is different every day, the children were delighted with the orchard, where they were fed pomegranates and had a tour of the garden. One day, the children were invited to the kitchen, where they made their own pizza, each their own, and then ate it with pleasure. In the evening there was always a mini disco, and after the evening show, we really liked everything, especially the fire show, it seemed that they would burn us all with their fiery breath). Next was a disco for 18+, but we weren’t there, so the hotel is also suitable for young people.
There is enough food and variety. Since this is our eighth time in Egypt, we have already developed taste preferences for local food; everything we love was there. The staff is polite and they pay a lot of attention to the children. There are many ala carte restaurants, a whole street, where they hold a white party once a week, it’s very solemn and very beautiful. The rooms are cleaned well, they made different animals out of towels for the children, so the children ran away from the beach and were always waiting for a gift in the room in the form of a new animal. Of the nuances, the rooms are not new and the refrigerators are leaking, perhaps not for everyone, but we came across them twice, but this is a small thing in comparison with all the other advantages. Will we go here again, definitely yes, although we used to change hotels every year. And we are not alone, there are many vacationers who return there. Thank you for the good emotions and relaxation that will warm us on cold winter evenings at home.

The resort consists of three hotels: Labranda Club, Labranda Royal and "Lemon and Soul". My wife and I had a room garden view at Hotel Labranda Club, All Inclusive service. The room has older furniture, which was not disturbing. The room was clean, the bedding was very clean, as were the towels. The room was cleaned and tidied every day and we were given fresh towels every day. The beach is excellent, by the bay, you can swim every day, regardless of how strong the wind is. It is very well arranged for drinking water on the beach, you can take it from the fridge at any time. There is also a bar by the beach. There is a restaurant by the beach for breakfast and lunch. The bad thing about it is that there are a lot of sparrows inside the restaurant. This is especially bad at lunch. Dinner is in the main restaurant next to the reception. The resort also has international restaurants, e.g. Indian, Greek, Italian, Asian, Japanese, American... For a 12-day stay, we received 3 coupons for dinners in these restaurants (you can pay extra for more). The Italian was excellent and the Indian was good. We were very disappointed in the Greek restaurant. The food was just a little like Greek food, the service was very bad, the waiter was very unfriendly. There is also a large swimming pool, but we did not use it.
I highly recommend it to those guests who enjoy bathing and swimming in the sea.

Nice pleasant and inexpensive hotel. This is our second time vacationing here and we need to look at the prices. Sometimes the price is slightly increased and sometimes, on the contrary, they make discounts. I advise you to navigate, for example, by a hotel of about the same level - Long Beach; if the prices are similar to Labranda, then you can take it. We vacationed in different hotels and are already getting our bearings. In terms of food and the condition of the rooms, this is a good budget Egyptian hotel. I want to tell you about the moments that make the hotel stand out from others. The hotel is suitable for a relaxed family holiday. This is Makadi Bay and there is nothing to do outside the hotel; shopping in this region is also not relevant. But you can go on excursions. It’s especially convenient to go to Luxor and Utopia Island because of the cool living corals. This is not the first time we have purchased excursions from the local travel company Grand utopia travel; you can find their website by name through any search engine on the Internet. We like that they organize everything very competently, for example, the groups of tourists are small and the guides answer all questions and speak Russian well. The prices are cheaper than those of hotel guides and there is no need to prepay; you pay when boarding the bus that takes you on the excursion. The hotel has a standard animation program and not only a water park but also banal slides. This is a hotel purely for a beach holiday and nothing more. But the beach here, although it does not have a large coral reef, is a lagoon protected from waves with an excellent sandy entrance to the sea. This is what tourists come here for. The beach is quite large and there is enough beach equipment. You will always find free sun loungers. The area is small, it belongs to two hotels of this chain, you can walk everywhere. There are four swimming pools. There are also plenty of sunbeds there. The hotel is not new, but it is clean, the staff works hard and treats guests warmly. Personally, we like this kind of vacation without too much fuss!
