Trees and hedges are lined up like a ruler, and there are a lot of cacti in the grounds👍👍 Tracks are constantly swept and washed👌 The beach is great 👍👍👍 Sun loungers are more than enough!!!! The hotel has to be one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in! Everywhere we went there was always someone cleaning and sanitising, which was amazing! It’s a beautiful resort, which is looked after extremely well by the workers there. The room we booked was massive, with everything you could need, and again was spotless, with daily house keeping and mopping! The beds were comfy and the AC worked perfectly, with in room controls.
The cocktails were out of the world, and the food wasn’t bad at all in the buffet restaurant. There was always snacks on offer around the hotel, should you get hungry!
There was also around 8/9 a la carte restaurants to choose from, included in the price, however we only ate at one chinichurri steak restaurant, which was very tasty.
The location was fabulous, with the beach right on the resort! All the staff were so friendly and accommodating, even taking your drinks orders from your sun lounger or table for all inclusive! There was a massive variety of entertainment for the children, including foam party’s, colour party’s and carnivals on the beach, and shows every evening, with the staff being so friendly and amazing with the children. The splash park was a great addition to the many swimming pools, but it would have been nice for the water slides to be open for longer, as they only open 10-12 and 2-4. There are a variety of shops on the resort, near the restaurant/ reception and also on the beach, which aren’t overly cheap, but have the necessities you may need and more with the addition of a pharmacy too. Be warned though, the tobacco is most certainly fake in there, ( as are most around Egypt, unless bought in duty free). They take Egyptian pounds, gbp and usd, and prefer smaller notes, over larger notes or change.
Overall, we had the most wonderful, relaxing experience at sunrise royal makadi, and would not hesitate to recommend to others!

Also on our fourth holiday here we were welcomed with "Welcome home", and were able to enjoy again a very well-kept outdoor complex and well-composed animation program. To our surprise, the hotel was fully booked, but there was still an upgrade to a suite for us. We booked a double room. Located in the heart of the complex, this suite is a small bungalow consisting of two suites (31101 and 31102). The room is right next to the access road to the reception, you can therefore hear the buses running even at night, but this did not bother us, as we are used to this from home. As usual, it is not renovated and there would already be one or two small defects that would have to be fixed. First and foremost all wooden doors in the complex. Our nursery door could not be opened after the first closing and also the doors of the changing rooms on the beach, the toilets etc. are partly in such a desolate state that it is often not possible for children to open or close them. The food was very good again and also the quality was great. At the buffet, great attention was paid to cleanliness and it was always nice and hot. The specialty restaurants have convinced us again. We went to the Asian, Italian and Mediterranean restaurant. Staff is expected by the bank friendly without tip. If you still exist, they remember your favorite place every day, or the "usual" breakfast, the morning cocktail etc. This time we award 8 out of 10 points because there are a few things that could be changed into positives. Among other things, it would be nice to have a clothes rack for wet clothes in the room, or at least on the balcony or an additional dryer rod in the bathroom. Besides, there are already some loose tiles and potholes that can become a stumble. The shows in February like bingo, karaoke etc. would be better off in the theatre. The best thing about this holiday is the staff! They made our holiday what it was! The bar staff are attentive, making sure you always have a drink. Sonic, Sam and Oozo (along with the rest of the entertainment team) are amazing at getting you involved, and making you feel welcome. We were there for my Dads 50th birthday celebrations, and every single member of staff, from the cleaning department to the entertainment team, went above and beyond to make his day special. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The fridge was always stocked up with bottles of water. There is also a lovely bit of coral reef on the hotels beach, which is great for doing a bit of snorkelling! Only complaint is we went to the paid Seafood bar one night, and on checkout, found out we had to pay for the drinks at that restaurant. This would have been absolutely fine if they had been different, or imported drinks. However they were not. The drinks were collected from the same bar we had been getting all inclusive drinks from the rest of the week. This was not made clear when we ordered the drinks, and it we had of been made aware, we would probably have ordered something like a cocktail. Not the same house wine we had been drinking already for free. Other than this small thing, we had an amazing time and we look forward to going back in a couple of years time.

The hotel does not feel like a 5 star. We had issues from the moment we arrived.
Check in took longer then expected. The main buffet is very hot inside. They need to add more AC units.
The staff in the restaurants are a mixed bunch. Some of very nice and some don’t want anything to do with you. The staff at the kids slide area that make pizza and burgers are overworked and miserable. They are really rude to everyone. The guy making the pizza is sweating all over the pizzas being made, hotel should consider more staff at that area to assist with volume of people.
The Beach is beautiful and there was always loungers available. Staff on beach are great! Snorkeling is sooo nice !! Lots to see with the reefs.
All pools are very clean and washrooms around hotel are also very clean
The rooms are a bit dated depending on the room you choose. Family suites are the best but washrooms need improvement.
The barcode system to get a restaurant is horrible and should be changed to an easier system that works. We had issues with the barcodes and monitors in the reception. Room keys are always not working.
All shops on the hotel grounds are crazy expensive and prices are made up on the spot. I would recommend buying what you need before arriving.
The pharmacy at the hotel is a disaster, the prices are beyond ridiculous. I was extremely uncomfortable talking to the staff there.
The restaurants are all pretty good and the buffet for dinner is also good.
Overall a 7/10 hotel expierence, my kids had a great time with all the entertainment

A beautiful hotel with a very clean facility. The rooms could do with a renovation, however, especially the bathroom smelled musty. The tennis courts could also be renovated. The service staff were always friendly and the food in the a la carte restaurants and the buffet restaurant was really good (except for cream sauces, which you can't do). Cocktails depend on the bartender, but the selection is good. The quality manager and the head chefs regularly ask whether everything is OK or if something can be improved. We have never experienced this in other hotels. Really great! The lifeguards at the pools and on the beach take their job really seriously and look after the people swimming. The sandy beach is beautiful, the sea is clear and there is also a small coral reef right next to it. It would be great if the coral reefs were re-bred a bit here. The only real problem are the constant vendors on the beach, sometimes you get approached every 5 minutes. With the red flag (available at the towel stand) it is no use approaching them. The WiFi is very good throughout the hotel. We had a lovely holiday there and would come again. Thank you very much!

This was a perfect last minute holiday for me and my 19 year old daughter. The hotel is huge but not crowded. We had a wonderfully spacious room overlooking one of the many pools. The choice of a la carte restaurants in the evening made a nice change from the lunchtime buffet, we went to a different restaurant each night. The staff cannot do enough for you and every single member of the very large team seems to take pride in their work. Big shout out to Sonic, Shika and Oozo on the entertainment team. The hotel is right on the beach, with clean, soft sand and clear, shallow water. Nothing to do in the immediate vicinity, but plenty of onsite activities and entertainment to keep you occupied. This hotel has everything you would expect from an all inclusive ‘flop & drop’ package holiday.

An amazing hotel with a fantastic sandy beach and a crystal clear water, you could see many colourful small fish on shore or you could do some snorkeling and see bigger fish and a turtle in the coral reefs in the snorkeling area. Enjoyed the food as it was delicious freshly baked bakeries daily some are made infront of you. My family and I liked the fact that you can book your dinner at different restaurants in the resort. We have tried the Mediterranean restaurant Elia, the Italian Basilico, and the Bedouin. There are other restaurants unfortunately we didn't have time to try such as the Mexican Frida, the healthy roots, the steakhouse Chimichuri and the Asian. Do not miss the soft icecream 🍦 daily at snack time 😋 Room was spacious with pool view and it was cleaned daily restocking the used toiletries. You could breath in fresh air as you are surrounded with green areas We had a wonderful vacation and will definitely stay again! Special thanks to the extremely friendly, helpful and cheerful staff; -The reception for the quick checkin and checkout and helping us with our requests such as providing a ground floor room for my parents as they couldn't go upstairs. -The animation team, they were energetic covering the whole day from morning till evening with activities and shows by the beach and pool. -The lifeguards were extremely attentive. -The chefs, waiters, and all staff working in the kitchen 24hrs.
