We arrived at iberotel makadi beach, and immediately impressed, we were made to feel very welcome and given the room requirements we needed. Mr Hassan is a credit to the hotel, very friendly and welcoming, as is Mr Anter from the pool restaurant. The hotel is not a huge hotel, definitely small and friendly but not too small, the pool side restaurant do amazing meals at lunch, fillet steak, chicken skewers, lasagne, .. Food in the main restaurant is lovely and varied, plenty of choice of freshly prepared food, waiter service is spot on, there are also waffles from the pool restaurant 3 pm to 5pm daily . Entertainment in the evening is professional shows, enjoyable, then music and dancing after, animation in the day is quieter than most hotels but certainly enjoyable. The pools are big, 1 quieter pool and 1 active pool, I would encourage the hotel to maybe have some music playing around both pools during the day, the beach is lovely and clean and nice soft sand. Staff that stood out to us were Samuri and Bebo from animation, always smiling and stopping for a chat, and the 2 lovely kids club girls Elvie and Abbi.. even after mini disco would finish they would continue to amuse the children and the caring for the children was clear to see. Also Ahmed from the bar and the waiter from the pool. The hotel is mostly German guests, we found it not too be an issue with only a few English guests , the staff love the English and have clearly missed them, the hotel can not do enough for you, if you need something then just ask, nothing seems to much trouble .The rooms are very comfortable and clean with some good English TV channels too. We had excellent towel art everyday from housekeeping I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and already looking at making our next booking .

We have recently returned from our second stay at the Iberotel Makadi Beach (we were also there in July 2017, and we have visited the Red Sea more than thirty times) and we have already booked for our third stay next May. The hotel is compact, comfortable, and very well managed by Mr Guardia and his team. The food at the buffet was so good that we were never tempted to take advantage of the generous dine-around opportunities and the range of cocktails available on the all-inclusive option is the best I have come across (|I highly recommend the Za'atar Smash). The service in all parts of the hotel was excellent, and I don't think that a single member of the staff ever passed us without a smile and a greeting. Room cleaning and maintenance were faultless. When we return in May, we would be dlighted if the white wine was a little cooler (about 3C) and if there was a slightly wider range of drinks available on the beach :0)
I go to the Red Sea mainly to snorkel and photograph the marine life: I spend about two hours a day in the water and take 200-300 pictures a day, 80% of which I subsequently delete. It is certainly true that, over the past five years or so there had been a decline in the quality of the marine environment and in the diversity of species seen, but I was heartened to see that some protection is being offered to the reefs in front of the hotel. Inevitably, this limits snorkelling opportunities a little, but that is a price well worth paying to help the reefs to recover. Sadly the seagrass meadows inshore have vanished, but I hope that they will return someday. Having noted all of that I was still delighted with what I saw, including an octopus and a turtle. Behaviour rules regarding the reefs and marine life are clearly visible on the hotel beaches, but there are still people out in the water who either ignore the rules or are unaware of them. When you are swimming, please touch nothing, leave nothing behind in the water and, above all, do not feed the fish. I would be delighted if the hotels required their guests to sign a decalaration that they had read and would abide by the behaviour rules in the sea. I think that might be more effective than the unenforceable threat of $50 fines.
My wife and I recommend the Iberotel most highly and we thank Mr Guardia and all his staff for giving us such a good holiday. See you in May!

We stayed here for 9 days / nights in May. Oh, we were so lucky. There were just enough people in the hotel for pretty much all the facilities to be open yet there were so few guests that at time we had the pool all for ourselves. This is our first visit to Iberotel. The hotel has exceeded our expectations. From the first step to the hotel will see the smile on the faces of everyone in the hotel and everyone trying to help.
Reception (Khaled and Mina) made the check in very smooth and they were following up with me during the vacation if there is anything they can do to make it better
Resturant: the food varieties and quality is exceptional and waiters are trying to help and offer you (Baraka, Hesham in main restaurant, amazing chef in main restaurant) and Mahmoud at the pool resturant is amazing. Honestly all stuff are amazing
Room service (rooms 4112 and 4113) Mahmoud was doing great job and offering to clean the room daily or asking if we need any help and used to make shapes with towels on the beds

We were at the Iberotel Makadi Beach from March 9th to March 16th, 2024. We booked the trip through TUI Sussie with "all inclusive" including hotel transfer.

What we also found very nice in the restaurant was that the "acoustics" were very pleasant, you could have a good conversation and you hardly noticed the "stress" at the buffet like in other hotels and during our time the hotel was over 90% booked.
Pool restaurant From 12:00 p.m. you could eat something at the pool restaurant via "A la Carte". Here you could order starters, pasta, pizza, burgers, beef fillet, panini, sandwiches and small desserts. The food and quality were very good!

Can't say enough good things about this hotel. The rooms, pool bar area and toilet facilities are immaculately clean. All the staff we've met are friendly and extremely helpful. Drinks and warm flannel to freshen up greeted us at check in and we were walked to our room , all the facilities pointed out and explained enroute. Read a couple of negatives about the quality of wifi which is odd as I can get it all round the hotel for free. Can facetime our daughter from our room. The other was the staff didn't speak much English, absolutely no problem, yes they are more fluent in German but definitely not an issue. The other pleasing thing is its all proper all inclusive, no scrimping or extra charges.Even get full on waiter service down at the beach restaurant during lunch. All in all really pleased with our stay so far, if I was really picky the only negative I could come up with is the hotel is a bit of a maze, lovely laid out pathways but a bit easy to lose your bearings for a start, a few more sign posts would be helpful. Great Hotel, great staff.

Last week was our first visit to this beautiful resort. I really wanna take the chance to thank everyone who works at Iberotel Makadi Beach who made our stay pretty exceptional. The staff were genuinely friendly and professional. The resort was generally cozy and spotless.
The food was exquisite. Every single dish showed absolute passion for food and the cuisine varieties were astonishing. I applaud the chefs, the dishes were pieces of art.

This hotels amenities are all easily accessible by wheelchair. All of the staff are always smiling and fun and service is second to none. It is not something faked but actually bred from their hearts. The standard of room cleaning was perfect and coffee was topped up generously every day. The food was catered mainly to the Germans but we found something delicious at every meal. The senior management are all very approachable and can be seen most days in the grounds. The only small criticism is that we had lunch at the beach side restaurant the first day and it tasted as if the fish had been microwaved and was rubbery. Would certainly recommend.

After a bad experience in terms of hotel a few years ago, I came to Egypt again. On the recommendation of our travel agent at TUI we went to the Iberotel.
And it was fantastic! We arrived on the day of arrival very early in the morning well before check-in, but were already allowed to use the hotel complex immediately and first have breakfast in peace. Immediately afterwards there was already the room! Great service here! The departure also worked without any problems. Since our plane departed only in the late evening, we had to leave our room already around noon, but also here, we were allowed to use the facility again until the end. The suitcases were stored in a room next to the reception until transfer and there would even have been the option of a shower before collection.
The rooms were always very lovingly refurbished and the beach towels were changed daily. Special plus points for the loving placement of our plush companions.
The service at the hotel was first class and never intrusive. We had a wonderful stay at this place, and the room service was particularly noteworthy. Mohamed was incredibly attentive and detail-oriented. After each cleaning, our room (room number 6204) looked like we were entering it for the first time – everything was spotlessly clean and perfectly organized. The laundry was always neatly folded, and every day a cute animal made of towels greeted us on the bed, which made us smile again and again after bathing. It was just completely thoughtful and lovingly made!
