Xanadu Makadi Bay is often celebrated for its exceptional amenities, which include pristine, roomy accommodations and a variety of pools. Guests have called out the well-kept beach area with coral reefs ideal for snorkeling. While the hotel's vibrant atmosphere and entertainment are a hit, some travelers find the noise levels from various sources to be a disturbance. The service at Xanadu Makadi Bay consistently earns high marks for its professionalism and warmth. Although the location offers stunning seaside views, its distance from Hurghada city is noted. Visitors have mixed feelings about the value, citing extra charges, yet appreciate the all-inclusive options and room quality.

I'll start with the main one! The hotel is huge, the main building is the newest ,the ground floors with access to the pool, further down the hotel go Dune rooms they are more spacious ;but no longer so new (slightly tired) there are with access to the lawn or to the private pool for several rooms (in March they were cold) and closer to the sea Laguna rooms are large, fresh renovation ,two bathrooms and the pool is already heated.
The hotel grounds are well-kept,flowers,clean, pools are very many for all tastes and relaxation. Two heated +29°
The water park is cool, the slides are lots for big and little ages, there is a place to ride fun!
Separate play area for the most tiny ,slide ,plus mini heated pool.
By the food all fire like in Turkey ,tasty ,choice is big. Alcohol imported whisky, rum, martini, beer. But wine and champagne lovers are going to have a hard time, because the drinks are local.
Dinner went to a la carte fish on the seafront, it pays for the menu. But the prices are budget ,seafood best and delicious .(kids and drinks free) I recommend spending the evening there.
Well, I've never seen anything like that, the dream of an athlete! A huge, glassy complex by the sea.
The beach line is wide, soft sand, the entrance to the sea is shallow without corals, for children just right.
Fish - go right to the next hotel there's a nice reef.
The service is pleasant, they try, guests are very welcome, everything for you loved.

The Xanadu Makadi Bay is a very well-maintained, large complex with its own beach area, beautiful pool area, many bungalows and suites with their own pool and much more.
We were here from November 3rd to November 17th and stayed in the swim-up rooms 4032 and 4034. The rooms were cleaned very clean every day and the minibar was always well-stocked. We thank you, Mahmoud Helmy, again from the bottom of our hearts for that.
The food in the main restaurant Otia was always very good and even at peak times there was always a good atmosphere and very friendly staff. The a la carte restaurants are also recommended, we tried them all, but our favorites are the Turkish restaurant and the French restaurant. In general, there was always a restaurant, a snack bar or something similar where the guests' physical well-being was taken care of.
The guests were also served quickly and friendly at the various bars.
The entertainment is wide-ranging, from an extensive sports program, evening shows to live music, there is something for everyone here. The animation team is friendly, young, dynamic but not pushy.
The guest clientele is international; during our stay there were English, Scottish, French, Belgian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Austrian and German holidaymakers here. For this reason, we think it is very good that the staff generally speaks to guests in English first.
We met many very nice and friendly people here who all do their best to make the holiday unforgettable. Unfortunately, we do not have enough space to name everyone personally here. Therefore, we would like to name a few names of employees who we would particularly like to praise for their service.
Our thanks go to Mohrail Maher from guest relations, to Ahmed Gaber, Mohamed Saker, Mina Ayman, Mahmoud Ali, Ali Abdl Waged, El Desouky Ibrahim, Ali Al Araby, Omar Abd El Saboor, Shaimaa Zakaria, Martina Younan, Moustafa Ali and Mahmoud Elsayed for the very good service in the restaurants, the pool bar, the Xanadu Bar and the Sky Bar.
We would like to thank Yasmina, Sonya, Olga, Vita and Simu for the nice entertainment and animation.

We would especially like to thank Hashim Lofty. Hashim as a manager, you are great and we have grown very fond of you. Thank you for the nice conversations and great evenings that we were able to have or spend with you. And as we promised, we will come back to you and everyone else next year in September and hope that you will all be there too.

best wishes to everyone from Daniela, Ralf and Kevin

Holidaying with family in November 2024, living in 2 rooms in the main building. Questions about the quality of the room, no furniture at all. The room size is huge, the balcony is large, a dryer and an iron are brought upon request, although I saw the sign "ironing room" in the hallway. If you pick at all, the quality of the bed linen suffers, in the reels, it seemed synthetic.
The hotel is huge, travel mainly by electric cars that stop at stops. One after the other, so it wasn't long to wait.
In the grounds, 3 swimming pools were warmed up: by the main building, by the lagoons and in the children's room. By the way, there's a slide, splashers, like a mini water park. The children’s room worked comfortably – until 5 p.m., then after the mini-disco from 8.30 to 10 a.m. cartoons. The area is large, consisting of several houses with enough toys. The animators worked with the children on a schedule, drew something, glued it on. They were flying kites on the beach. The big aqua park hasn't even been visited, the pools don't warm up.
The hotel gym is very nice, large, divided into 2 rooms with exercise equipment in good working order. Mats, dumbbells all present. I enjoyed working out there every day.
Beach, sea call, sandy bottom - out of competition, ideal. You can even go waist-deep to see the fish. Farther from the shore, a few pits where everyone swam with masks. You can take the promenade to nearby hotels, no one will stop. On the other side of the hotel - desert, sand and nothing else. CENZO MALL is 15 minutes by taxi.
The late-night shows aren't exactly hotel stuff. Weak, not colorful and watchable if you smoke hookah. Although it is better to just listen to music in the main building bar (there is a live performance every day) and hookah by the way can smoke there too.
Nutrition... just a lot, tried and it's noticeable. When arrived was the perfect children's table with 2 kinds of porridge on the water, vegetable puree, milk vermicelli, jar meals, in the evening boiled fish, vegetables, meat and chicken also in the broth. But at the end of the rest, the porridge was gone, the nuggins appeared, something in the bucket, it's a shame.
The rest - soups, salads, lots of Turkish pakhalava, for dinner mangoes abound. In the morning, mango, orange, strawberry smoothies. In the cafe near the beach – lunch, several options of dishes were present. Sure, clare, butter... good thing there were boiled vegetables.

Of the minuses: The animators are not active enough in calling for volleyball (they almost always organized themselves). The sand on the beach volleyball court leaves much to be desired (I suffered a leg injury).
In the 16+ zone on the beach, the Internet does not work, and in the room, that is, it does not.
There are no hooks on the beach umbrellas. The beach towels are shabby, but you can see that they are starting to replace them with new ones.
In the restaurant, for breakfast, there is only one type of porridge and that with milk.
The room smells like sewage from the shower. The construction site is near the beach, but it doesn’t interfere much if you wear headphones. Film on the surface of the sea - yachts nearby.
Room 1157 in the main building, with a door to another room - you can hear conversations, TV and everything else.
Cheap furniture in the room, the door to the room is made of plywood - all sounds in the corridor can be heard in the room.
Pros:
The waiters do their job efficiently.
Very tasty and varied food. Availability of a restaurant on the beach.
The beach itself is sandy and large with a smooth entry into the sea.
24-hour bar on the beach, high-quality cleaning on the beach, sun loungers were cleaned with bleach.
5 ala carte restaurants, lifeguards on the beach.

If you are used to Turkish hotels, this hotel in Egypt is a find for you.
We - 6 people - felt like we were vacationing in Turkey 😂
A huge area.
Cool mini-club heated small pool, canteen meals for kids and children's entertainment throughout the day.
Immediately checked in on arrival-- super.
The rooms are nice.
Iron, toothbrushes, paste, bathrobes-- on request.
Call the front desk and they'll bring you everything.

Cleaning is great - we cleaned the guy Mahamed Abo Ella (hopefully spelled correctly 🙏) anything that needs to be put down, it will also add, everything was excess.
The figure will spin 🔥
Don't get greedy holidaymakers - tips and plus Alenka make the holiday more comfortable somehow)))
We're happy and the guy's happy.

The food is great.
Restaurants Alya Kart 🔥
1 time each for free 🔥
The most delicious in my opinion are French and fishy - it's very delicious
But make a better appointment the day you arrive.

General restaurant is delicious
Not surprising, as there are Turkish chefs working - and it is noticeable immediately.
You can feel the food.
Pahlava as in Turkey, simites as in Istanbul and so on can be very long listed ☺️
For breakfast there are always red fish, eggs benedict, kaymak, honey in honeycomb, very delicious bread and pastries.
All the bars and restaurants have mango fried, orange, strawberries.
Delicious sparkling, nice pink and red wine, Heineken beer in cans and bottling.
There are imported drinks strong.

Animation.
Before we went, we all 6 people read the reviews.
And now after visiting the hotel, I want to say and ask-- people who complained that they were bored-- are we really vacationing in the same hotel?
From 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., the hotel hangs out and lives an active life.
In the morning on the beach aerobics, immediately bocha, darts, oriental dancing, volleyball, with us on the beach there was a foam party, competition with the children for the most beautiful sand castle, further lunch
From 15:00 aqua aerobics on a warm pool or sykel
Volleyball, archery, football
For kids, a magician show.

Tonight: every day a new show, live music in the lobby or Sky bar, Irish pub live music and disco until 02:00

We weren't bored - we're active and sporty
Speaking of sports, I'm not taking Pilates, yoga or fitness classes.

The downside is audible, of course - but what hotel doesn't have it?
We lived in the main building and we were comfortable.
Gowns and towels will be changed - I learned that from the Gestrellación.
Good service, any issues were solved instantly.
Anyway-- we had three rooms, six people-- everyone was very pleased.
We had a great time🔥
We thank the hotel staff: cleaners, gardeners, bartenders, waiters, of course Chef Chef ♥️ and management for our excellent holiday.
See you again ♥️

Excellent hotel, excellent holidays, optimal price/quality ratio!

What you liked: spacious rooms, quality cleaning, the property is huge and very well maintained. Big beach, deckchairs can always be found, even if come by noon. Separate area for adults only on the beach. A small but very interesting coral reef, access to the reef is convenient right from the beach. The entrance to the sea is sandy and very gentle - comfortable. Showers/toilets/changing booths are all available on the beach at a reasonable distance. The electric car, which runs through the hotel between the main building, the villas and the beach, runs regularly, almost no waiting. There is also a snack bar on the beach: you can dine without returning to the main building restaurant.

The food is decent: a good range, lots of fresh vegetables, fish and seafood regularly, meat dishes are also always varied. Turkish and Egyptian traditional sweets in huge quantities. We were lucky to be in the "mango season" - mangoes are divine, the main restaurant regularly had a separate counter where you could take sliced fruit. In general, since the hotel is owned by the Turkish hotel chain Xanadu, the kitchen is also mostly like in a Turkish hotel, which I consider a definite plus.

All the hotel staff with whom they spoke left only positive impressions. The guys are trying really hard. Very polite, smiling, always willing to help. At the reception, everything is settled very quickly. I would particularly like to mention Mr. Yuosif Ahmed: He happened to be dealing with some of our inconsistencies and we are very grateful for his understanding, attentiveness and patience! Guest relation service also well done – gave many useful tips, very nice girls. The guy who cleaned the room every day delighted us with animal figures made of towels and always asked us what wishes we had.

What could be improved in my opinion:
1. Outdoor seating in bars and restaurants near the main building could be added. In the evening, it is not easy to find a free table to eat outdoors or spend time after dinner in the open-air bar. The property is huge, such potential, and there are not enough chairs and tables in the evenings.
2. Also, in my opinion, the main restaurant is sorely understaffed, especially during dinners. Waiters just can't handle the number of guests.
3. Well, one more thing: the design of the shower cubicle in the room is such that no matter how hard you try, the water still drains onto the bathroom floor. Cabin doors are not quite airtight and the shower head is positioned so that all water splashes on the front door of the cab.

Well, it is, just wishes for the hotel's continued successful development.

To sum up, we are very pleased with the rest. Didn't regret choosing Xanadu Makadi Bay for a minute. I recommend the hotel unequivocally!

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at this amazing hotel. We don’t normally return to the same hotel but this is our second visit and we have already booked to come back again in October

We would like to say a special thank you to Mr Metwaly, Mr Bulent, Mr Shady and their whole team who are amazing. They are so hard working, friendly, helpful and attentive we can’t thank them enough for making our holiday so enjoyable.

Our room was very clean, plenty of storage, comfortable bed and a lovely balcony. The bathroom has a good shower and is well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and body cream which are good quality and topped up daily. The bathroom also has a light up mirror and hairdryer. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a well stocked mini bar with fruit juice, milk, fizzy drinks and beer. We enjoyed coming back to our room late afternoon to see what towel art our talented housekeeper had created 😊

The pool areas are spectacular with 2 heated pools in the winter months and plenty of sun beds. The staff around the pools work very hard serving drinks especially Yousif Ragab who was a star, always smiling and a credit to the hotel🤩 . The lagoon pool has very comfortable padded sun lounges and a lovely bar & lounge for drinks and snacks.

There is a huge modern gym which looked well equipped (although we didn’t use it😂)

The beach area is amazing there are plenty of sun beds and an adult only area. There is large sandy beach which you can walk straight out into the sea to snorkel instead of entering the reef via a jetty like so many other hotels in Egypt. The snorkelling is amazing we saw so many varieties of fish. The sea water was a bit chilly in January/February but it was lovely and warm in October.

The hotel is spread out on a large plot so it doesn’t feel overcrowded and they have golf buggy’s to take you from the main hotel to the beach and the water park which is a lovely addition but it only takes a few minutes to walk if you prefer.

The food is fantastic there is plenty of choice in the buffet restaurant and the patisserie in the lobby has lovely rolls, cakes and pastries. The A La Cart restaurants are exceptional our favourites were the French and the Italian. The food was fantastic and the staff were amazing. We celebrated a 60th Birthday and the staff at both restaurants made it very special for us they are all so friendly and welcoming nothing was too much trouble for them.

There are plenty of daytime activities and evening entertainment to watch or join in with. Special thanks to Moody, Tarzan, Simo and Nemo who were friendly, approachable and made the activities and evenings fun 😀

We have been to several hotels in Hurghada but this hotel is by far the best that we’ve been too we can’t praise this hotel enough. We didn’t want to leave and we can’t wait to return in October ️💖

Xanadu Makadi Bay is an excellent all-inclusive hotel with a massive property that is split up into 3 zones (main hotel, dunes, and lagoon). It also has a private sandy beach with a dedicated beach bar but is bordered by multiple boat docks.

The hotel is run and maintained by some of the hardest working staff I've ever met with special compliments to Chef Azeb, chef at the kids club cafe A. Rasman, main lobby bartender A. Rahman Mohamed, and server & bartender Mohamed Hassany. Chef Azeb was especially attentive to our family's gluten sensitivity whenever we dined at the main restaurant, and made special orders just for us as soon as we arrived each time.

We also got a lot of use out of the kids club and the co-located kid's pool and cafe. It wasn't very busy, most of the guests went straight to the beach, so our kids got to enjoy the facilities almost as if they're dedicated to us!

The all-inclusive package also included dinning at all of the a la carte restaurants. Just make sure you get your reservations in through their app as soon as you arrive. The best restaurants (in our opinion the Turkish and Indian restaurants) fill up fast and they're usually only open for dinner. Each pool area has a dedicated bar and fast-food restaurant serving pizzas and fries. The main lobby bar is definitely worth a visit as the bartenders have a wide array of liquors and mixers. Also don't miss the roof top bar that's equally stocked. There is a café with desserts that is opened till midnight which is great when coming back hungry from a long excursion.

The hotel didn't push any add-ons on us, which we appreciated, but if you're at the beach, be ready for people trying to sell you excursions or spa treatments.

Our room in the main hotel was modern and well appointed. The minibar was refilled everyday. Only issue we experienced during our entire stay was the shower leaked water into the bathroom. Some simple maintenance would fix the issue. I would recommend staying at the main hotel since it has the closest access to most of the a la carte restaurants and bars.

All of the common areas in the hotel were spotless and constantly kept up by the grounds crew. The all-inclusive also includes access to a massive waterpark next to the main property, but because we had to take a shuttle bus to it, we didn't really use it.

In all, it was a wonderful time at Xanadu and if we happen to be back in this part of Egypt again, we'll definitely stay here again.

The hotel is 30 km from the airport, we were delivered earlier than others, picked up later than other hotels. Xanadu has a large area, we lived in the Dune Superior room. It is convenient to move around the territory - electric cars drive, they will stop and pick you up upon request. The beach line of Makadi Bay was walked along the promenade almost completely. Compared to other hotels, Xanadu has a more lively atmosphere. So far the hotel lacks greenery - mature trees, bushes, since the hotel is 1.5 years old and a chill-out area with hammocks, this is to our taste.
Super animation team:
in the mini-club - Polina, another Polina and others;
the multinational team Yasmina, Vita, Laura, Luka and others entertain throughout the day - boccia, darts, as well as stretching, dance lessons, yoga, step, etc. At the same time, it’s unobtrusive, you can go if you want, or you can swim in the sea and pools.
Food - we thought some of the meat dishes were too overcooked; there is seafood every day, including in different forms. Not always well prepared - the fried squid was spicy and rubbery several times.
The choice of food is very varied - fruits: watermelons, melons, mangoes, figs (amazing), soups, rolls, ice cream, side dishes of all kinds - kitchen for guests, more than half of whom are Russian, 30% Egyptians, the rest - Slovaks, Czechs, Poles, etc. .d.
We were lucky to get to a cool party with a flyboard. And also a foam party on the beach.
The main thing I would like to note is the desire to help and resolve the issue. Both from the guest relations side and the housekeeper, who always clarified whether everything was in order when cleaning the room and whether anything needed to be corrected. The same thing in a restaurant, when they bring drinks, set the table if there is not enough cutlery for everyone, or on the beach they wipe glasses, give refreshing towels, etc.
It is clear that the hotel is developing and is trying to maintain the High class level.

We vacationed as a family with a child (5 years old) November 02-12, 2023.
We arrived at the hotel at 7 am, at 08:30 they gave us a temporary room so that we could change clothes, relax and leave our things while our room was being prepared.
At approximately 14:00 we were offered a couple of rooms to choose from.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The cleaning is quite good.
The food in the restaurant is unexpectedly good and varied.
There are many conveniently located bars, including those with foreign alcohol.
Ala carte restaurants are free, but you need to make a reservation in advance (several days in advance). We visited the Italian and fish restaurants and were satisfied.
The area is very large. From the main building to the beach it’s a 10-minute walk, but there are golf carts constantly running, so you can drive up.
There were many pools, the water in them was already cool, but you could still swim without problems.
Sandy beach with a gentle slope into the sea - super! The only negative is that there are few sunbeds and they are located very close to each other, so you need to take them early.
Animation during the day is unobtrusive, and in the evening - not bad performances!
All the staff are attentive and friendly.
This is the first Egyptian hotel where the experience was better than expected. That’s why I want to return to it again!
Thank you Xanadu for a good holiday!
