The hotel exterior design is in a unique and wonderful Stone-Rock - Mountain style same the landscape and pool areas with integrated lights and plants around the pool and in all public areas. All the rooms are also fully cave-style in a high quality finish and made in wood and rock.

Caves Beach Resort Hurghada presents an eclectic cave-themed atmosphere teeming with lively entertainment, though it occasionally receives criticism for noise and maintenance concerns. While the hotel's prime location frequently earns praise, opinions on value diverge, with some guests feeling overcharged for extras and dissatisfied with food quality. Rooms at the resort are a point of contention, as they are described as both spacious and comfortable, yet marred by maintenance and cleanliness issues. Despite this, the hotel's amenities are generally appreciated, especially the variety of pools and entertainment options. However, the service quality seems to vary, with most staff members being recognized as friendly and helpful, but some instances of poor service are noted.

Mahitab and Askar are the best members of the animation team, always smiling and looking after us and we missed them on their day off. There are lots of activities throughout the day and the team always get you involved. The Sun loungers are very comfy and we always managed to get one. The hotel has a club onsite but you have to pay for drinks there. There is a beach attached to the hotel which is lovely. The scenery of the hotel is beautiful and we have a balcony looking over the pool. The food is okay but could have some more variety. However there are three other al La cartel restaurants onsite. Overall we have had a great stay and we will be returning.

VERY BAD! Started off really good. Beautiful features around the hotel. Room was cleaned daily including fresh towels , bedding & water. Around 5-7 shops based inside hotel. Easy to access for things like suncream , sweets , perfumes , sunglasses etc. 3 bars, 2 pools. 1 heated 1 not. Repeated food options served for breakfast , lunch & dinner. Wine tasted like vinegar , all the spirits have the same taste so really hard to enjoy. IMPORTANT! I recommend not using hotel taxis , walk outside get your own taxi or Uber. The hotel tend to ask your room number when leaving. It so happened on the last night we booked a taxi for 7:30pm. Taxi driver was on the phone when we entered car ( nothing out of the usual tbh ). We were out the resort not even 2 minutes & he was asking why no English pounds or euros brother ( someone was clearly already in our room) he proceeded to ask what our room number was ( making sure it was the right room) as we had everything on us they maybe weren’t able to find anything. We said to do a U turn we forgot our id. He tried to by pass the u turn before my partner demanded to do a U turn. Got to the top of room corridor & two people were just leaving the room. My partner tried to chase them. We went into room packed all of our things and demanded room change. To which they said wasn’t possible. We then got given a very odd room at the very back of hotel. We left to go to supermarket inside of resort , we were literally 5minutes. When we went back upto room the card did not work at all to let us in, we tried for around 15 minutes. When tapping card it was going green , It was as if someone was in the other side and had locked it. Maybe not knowing we only went out for 5 minutes thinking we were away back out for dinner. We then left to go down to reception to say room key wasn’t working. They called someone first then said it was okays to go upto room when we had got taken up 1 tap from the man and he was entered! The story continues. We were just totally baffled I even videoed my partner trying to get into room then the man trying it first time and getting in. The whole walk up to the room was delayed buying time. Over all the hotel is totally sketchy, definitely be weary of your belongings & money. We felt that unsafe we left. & booked another hotel in hurghada city centre for the last night to enjoy the rest of our holiday. My partner had even payed & booked a tattoo for last day & we just totally f’ed that off. Just so weird how it happened the night before we were due to fly? I genuinely think we were a young couple , being watched going out for dinners taxis spas etc. Such a shame as the resort was so beautiful its self!

Had a wonderful holiday, I can only describe the hotel as whacky. Restaurant- personally I found the food varied and plenty of selection. Thank you to the Ashraf, chef and Ahmed and company, who looked after us so well. The Teriyaki restaurant was fab and Bam Bam were so good to cook om ali for me. Thank you so much. We were so well looked after by everyone, including Ibrahim poolside and Waghi who looked after our room. The poolside staff were also wonderful, nothing was to much trouble for them, Hany thank you for the lovely cocktails, although the hotel could do with reviewing their supplier of the alcohol. The animation team were good fun but like other reviews they could do with turning down the volume. Our room needed some attention to the curtains, but we forgot to report it. We are hoping to return in September. Kiara keep up the good work.

9th to 16th February 2024 We do 2 to 3 All-Inclusive holidays every year and my review is based on our experiences. And also bear in mind that this is an African 5 Star not a European 5 Star ! We had a great time and holiday at the Caves and found the weather was great and found the staff both friendly and helpful. The hotel location is to the north of Hurghada about 30 minutes out of the city centre and anyway from all local amenities and only the overpriced hotel shops to choose from. It has a real mix of clientele of varying ages and from numerous countries too. The hotel in areas is being updated with rooms being refurbished as it does look tired in places. The hotel has 2 pools, the one nearest the restaurants is heated for the cooler months, the other pool runs about of half the length of the hotel complex and allows the swim up rooms to enter it, probably worth bearing in mind if you book a swim up room its not exclusive to those rooms that you normally find as everyone has access. I would imagine that sunbeds would be at a premium in the summer months as they were full in February when the hotel is half full. The animation team work hard keeping everyone entertained and we particularly enjoyed the foam party in the swimming pool for Valentines Day but the constant loud music round the pool although enjoyable is nice to escape from so we went to the beach a couple of days to enjoy the peace & quiet. Having been to many All Inclusive before you expect the spirits to be different but I must say I couldn’t get on with the flavour, both the Gin and Vodka tasted the same and the Brandy and Whisky too the only one I could get on with was the Rum but I found the local beer the most palatable drink as its out of a can and no two barman made the cocktails the same. The hotel has a main buffet restaurant supplemented by 3 “Al a Carte” restaurants and a snack bar open at lunchtimes. The restaurant is kept really clean with a similar menu for both lunch and dinner with little change in the menu at all during our stay and the food could be hotter as its all luke warm. Surprisingly there was a real lack of fresh fruit compared to other hotels we have stayed at and no ice cream apart from a small tub given out one lunchtime again other hotels its a constant at lunch and dinner also a hot chocolate would have been nice a breakfast time but wasn’t an option. The Al a Carte restaurants were enjoyable with probably the Teppanyaki our favourite with a nice bit of theatre and the food was tasty too followed by the Grill House the Oriental Restaurant turned out to be Egyptian food not sure when Egypt became part of Asia ? Also there is bar near the beach doing handmade pizzas, sandwiches and burgers which are well worth having a geat alternative at lunchtime while sitting in the sun. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable and very novel being like a cave this although made the room dark so shaving and applying make up can be problematic. The TV had 30 channels with only a film channel with subtitles and a Chinese channel the only ones in English. Also there was no chair in the room or bath mat on the bathroom. We did have a few issues the lock on the door was extremely temperamental and sometimes took 3 or 4 attempts to get in, the bedside light didn’t work and the sink leaked when emptied all over the bathroom floor. Housekeeping visited daily but all they do is make the bed and change the towels and empty the bins there was no cleaning of the bathroom or sweeping /mopping of the floor, checking with other guests there experience was the same with more focus on towel art on your bed than actual cleaning ! Area for improvement; Housekeeping Poolside & Beach waiter service for drinks. Variety & temperature of buffet food. Top Tips; Orange Mobile has the best 4G coverage at the hotel and you can get a 25Gb sim for $10 from your rep or reception. Be aware that the airport advertised rates / tariffs are inflated and you have no comeback. Take US dollars to pay as the pricing for trips etc is the same in USD, Euros or GB pounds so as a UK traveler its cheaper paying in dollars due to the exchange rate. Also 1 dollar bills are good for tipping. Use apps / websites like “getyourguide” or “Viator” to compare trips and pricing vs your tour operator pricing. We saved 50% off the trips we booked.

This was our second visit - the first was 6 years ago. Hotel just as great but this time the animations team just couldn’t (or wouldn’t) turn the heavy bass down meaning that we were driven away from the warm pool and the evening activities - 99.9 decibels at one point. We were in a room the other end of the resort but could still hear the thump, thump of the bass from this hotel and from the nextdoor hotel too. Don’t upset the waiter in Betty Bar or you’ll find yourself waiting for 50 minutes for your food. Swim up rooms pool was only a degree or two above freezing which was disappointing. The sea was warmer!!! Sadly the pizza place on the beach is closed. Still love the quirky nature of the resort but we won’t return.
