I've been to Sunrise Garden and Mamlouk three times and I must say that they're one of the best hotels I've ever been to. The design is beautiful, food is outstanding, staff is very friendly. I also must say that they have the best animation team that always ensures if the guests are having fun or if they're satisfied with their stay. I think the hotel is suitable for all kinds of visitors: families, groups of friends etc.

I visited this hotel in August 2019 for 2 weeks with two of my friends. I was nervous about visiting the hotel as it was new but I had absolutely nothing to worry about. On the first evening we met one of the animation team called Medo and he showed us around, explained about the booking for restaurants and what activities took place during the day. He was super helpful and I knew from then that we where going to have an amazing holiday. Each morning Medo came over and said hello and checked we where all ok. The animation team encouraged us to take part in daily activities and we even went next door to garden beach to play bingo and won. Sheeko, Medo, Spikey and the rest of the team went above and beyond for us in our two week stay. This animation team is the best I’ve seen and definitely made our holiday a memorable one. Can’t wait to return and see the guys again soon

We booked this as saw it had raving fans who were repeat customers. The hotel was spotless, maintained daily by hard working yet friendly employee’s. The hotel was well maintained. Our room again faultless. The housekeeper very friendly and did the usual elephant and peacock displays using the towels which amused our son. The grounds, beach and pool are again well looked after and the pool by the snack bar was heated to a pleasant 29c. As the main pool wasn’t heated, the heated pool area does become crowded and you do need to claim your spot early or you end up having to pitch away... not good when you want to keep an eye on your child!! You also have access to the Garden resort, its sister hotel next door, where it has a big aqua park which is great for children. All their pools are heated. You also have archery, a riding arena and football/running track located on their grounds... so plenty to do. There is also a gym next to the aqua park which you need to book in advance. The hotel is located in between 3 different shopping experiences. To the left after about 200m are Egyptian shops where you can haggle to get a good price... start half to what they want and take it from there. They are totally open about everything being fake but every shop “has the best”. If you walk straight out and across the road, about 500m is the Senzi shopping mall which is more Westernised and all shops have fixed pricing. There’s a supermarket in there which is reasonable. Finally to the right of the hotel is Cleopatra’s- a fixed price Egyptian shop next to more haggle shops!! Finally the food. This is just my opinion as I’ve worked in Restaurants and hospitality for 25 years but some regular visitors may well shoot me down as they seem to be very protective of “their hotel”!! Well there’s plenty of it and if you are selective in the buffet main restaurant you can find enough that’s half decent... a lot is overcooked and stewed depending on what time you come in to eat. The food they cook in batches is the best to go for although we did find the vegetables that were cooked at the same time as the meat were still raw.... a watch out is the birds that fly around inside that land and start eating the desserts, so we kept away from those. The hotel also has 7 a la carte restaurants dotted around both hotels that you book for the evenings. You have to book these a day in advance. We went to 6 of them. The Arabic Gamila restaurant was fairy good. It should be as its there own food. The Mongolian BBQ was excellent... you pick your ingredients and then its cooked in front of you at the front. Unfortunately, the Italian and Mexican are poor. Soups insipid and taste like they came out of a packet. Main courses salty, stodgy and not cooked to order. The tortilla chips on the table in the mexican were stale. The waiters were apologetic and tried to give us something else but if you pre-make this type of food and then reheat it, it doesn’t work. Finally the Spanish... this was 50-50. The chorizo in red wine should be just that but its packed full of spices. The paella again pre-made and then heated in the oven so the meats were overcooked and tough. However, the steak was good. The desserts weren’t bad. We also ate in 2 snack bars. The Gamila restaurant on the beach did a good kebab and inside you had pizza and chips and salads. The pool bar did burgers, toasties and kebabs. Again, these were ok. So had the food been as good as the hotel, I would rate this 5/5 and also say I’ll be back.

We booked a suite with garden view but got the wiew of a sports stadium. Safe didnt work and it took almost two hours to wait in the room to fix it, and we were not aloud to leave. Service was terrible and everything took hours to fix. We asked for pool chairs three times and finally when you bring them yourself nobody even ask if you need help. To fix a childs bed took two hours as well. The room we got was also xtremely noisy. But In the end I got the telephone number of a manager and I have to say that they really took it seriously and moved us to a better room and tried to make us happy. The also gave us a very nice romantic dinner as a patch on the wound. Hotel and the areas around are good but a little worn down in some places. Food is ok and at times quite good in the general restaurant. The gym is very good.
