We love this hotel, staff and management exceptional and nothing is too much trouble for them. Slightly different experience this time due to covid 19 and I was unable to eat within the hotel due to being vegetarian and the restrictions to the all inclusive, there was not much variety and staff were having to serve you which was strange and it became expensive when having to pay to eat out every night just to get fed. On the other hand my husband is a great eater and certainly made up for my share. Beach was not as clean as usual and lots of rubbish around the sunbeds and on the beach which was a let down. The safety measures and cleaning when entering the hotel was to a high standard but our room cleaner seemed to lack the same measures and we had to constantly ring down to reception for missing items to be replaced and re cleaned. It's in a good location and a great price and wonderful friendly staff that treat you like family but we may think about a change for our next holiday were we can cook ourselves.

The hotel is not bad for the price. In fact, these are 3 hotels in one and you can move freely between them. In Mirette, across the road there is an aqua park with slides for children and adults. Palma de mitette has only 2 slides, but 2 swimming pools and a pleasant entrance to the sea. El palacio also has several slides and its own nice area. The hotel has a very beautiful location - you can come in from the shore and just swim, or you can go down the steps and snorkel - the underwater world is marvelous. It is also convenient that the center is nearby - the Hurghada City Center shopping center is 800 m away. The port (Hurghada Marina) is 2 km away.
The staff at the hotel are pleasant, friendly and welcoming. The room is cleaned every day, quite high quality. We left a tip to our housekeeper - he sculpted all sorts of figures for us from towels, gave us more bottled water, and laid out our things beautifully and neatly. Otherwise, the quality of cleaning is the same, both with and without tea.
The food in the restaurant is ok, but monotonous and gets boring over time. We diluted it with dinner in other restaurants and cafes outside the hotel. There are a la carte restaurants and right in the hotel Saya Cafe - there is good hookah and delicious food.
The animation is not intrusive, evening activities are standard - singer, dancers, fire show, etc.
There were always enough tables in the restaurant, and there were always sun loungers by the pool - there were no difficulties, which was nice.
In Mirette in the water park I would like to specifically mention Mohamed - a very attentive life guard. He will help everyone, give advice, greet everyone, and always be positive.
Egypt has always loved tips; budget for some amount of tea, and your vacation will be more comfortable, and the staff will be pleased.
In general, the hotel is old and requires major renovation; the rooms are tired, but clean. In our room, the mattresses were a little squashed, the pillows were not super comfortable - sleep quality was 4 out of 5. When turned on, the hairdryer first emitted a stream of fire, and then started working, but we became friends with it))
The guests at the hotel are diverse - locals, English, Germans, Belgians, French, Swiss, Italians, Poles, Ukrainians, Russians. The contingent was different, but there were no conflicts with us - everything was ok.
If you go on a positive note and don’t expect miracles and quality of level 5-6, etc. stars, it will be a great vacation. If you want to relax without spending as much as a down payment on an apartment like most other hotels in Egypt these days, this hotel is quite suitable.

Hello, I decided to write a review about this hotel, we just returned. We rested for 7 days. In short, I would never go back there) terrible service, dirty rooms, to get a normal room you need to pay a bribe and even this may not save you, because you won’t be able to walk through the dirty territory of the hotel and eat in restaurants that you don’t want to go to , dirty dishes, tables, floor. They checked us into an uncleaned room; it was a revelation to them that people would arrive today and they needed rooms. Poop from previous guests was floating in the room, and there was ashes everywhere. The swearing started from the very check-in; they pretend that they don’t understand anything. They give you one card for 2 people, no internet only for money or in the lobby if you catch it. As a plus, I can note a good coastline and corals, this is the only plus; there are no more of them. The food is scarce, we ate chicken for 7 days. Sometimes they gave beef in portions of 2 pieces. There’s a lot of baked goods like everywhere else, juice is $2, no seafood. There are a lot of Arabs, they are like pigs, where they ate there and left everything very noisy. They start cleaning the area when everyone goes swimming, and they pour bleach into the pool. If you are with children, I especially don’t advise you to take pity on the children, the unsanitary conditions are complete. He reaches into a bucket of beer with his hand and pours tin into the glasses of visitors on the beach, dips all his fingers into it and pours. It's a pity I didn't have my phone handy to take pictures of it. I asked to change the broken kettle and they didn’t change it, I kept ringing and there was silence. I give the hotel 3 only because of the sea. Maybe it was once good, but now it clearly needs repairs everywhere and replacing all the staff is sheer rudeness and dissatisfaction. Upon arrival, you can sign up for 2 udins and this is also a separate story. We simply left 2 times without finishing the whole thing, the first time the staff started a fight with the visitors, the second time they simply turned off the lights and we sat in complete darkness.

I cannot comment on Palma Mirette rooms because the RCI appartment was across the road at The Mirette. So, the ratings are for the Mirette (RCI/ timeshare apartments) But we were allowed to use the communal space of both buildings - toilets, lobby and restaurant (once we had upgraded). If you are an RCI member please be aware that it is very difficult for you to go self catered at the Mirette due to hygiene standards of kitchen unit but then this maybe because they want you to upgrade to all inclusive. The toilets in all Sunny Days buildings needed finishing and a good clean with bleach.

My wife and I woth our 10 month old baby spent 7 nights at this hotel. It seemed OK until we got to our room which was on the 4th floor of the hotel which does not have any lifts... so already not the best start. We went to the all inclusive bar we paid for by the pool to get a couple of beers
Only to see these were in plastic party kid cups, one sip and empty. This also caused issues as this hotel location was so windy therefore all drink cups were flying around the resort. In the rooms the electric sockets did not work or would not hold a charger so we struggled to charge our phones. We eventually found 1 out of the 5 sockets worked and after reporting the issue this was never resolved. There were also no working balcony lights we reported this at the time of arrival day one and we eventually got given a bulb on the final night. The vast majority of guests staying at the hotel were russian 95% as i asked the staff and some even carried around born in USSR giant flags with them wherever they went which was a little intimidating and shouting Russia during dinner time but nothing at all was said about this. When we required a taxi we asked at reception to get one from the front, after a couple of times we noticed they were giving us higher prices than other guests. The meals were not good at all and my wife was also ill a couple of times, for me I did not eat a lot but found on the 6th day that they was a buffet burger / hot dog bar at the other side of the hotel that we were never notified of. The only positive from this hotel was the Beach bar manager Muhammad as he really looked after us the best he could, he brought a few drinks over to us at a time and apologised for the lack of drink choices available and also recommended places to visit at non inflated prices which we really appreciated.

Hell hell hell

Simply don't book the hotel.

There are cracks in the walls and floor, the hotel is not in good shape. Mobiliar is worn out.
Mattress uncomfortable and the air condition loud as a lorry... If you want holidays in hell, this is the place to go... also, the bathroom was smelly and the glass I was supposed to use for tooth brushing was still wet and not clean. Unbelievable!

They promise a lot, but all promises turn out to be false. Or suddenly they tell you they are able to do it but would charge extra for it. In the correspondence bevor booking the hotel it was never mentioned that my kind request would cost anything. This is non acceptable behaviour and typical of what I have experienced so many times in Egypt. For the Egyptian Bazar OK, but for a hotel unacceptable.

I wish I could cancel the whole booking, but paid unfortunately in advance. So I have to stay in this unfortunate place. Wish me luck, I hope I will survive.

I highly recommend this resort for a number of reasons. They got the best lagoon in town with a sandy beach. They have the perfect snorkeling spot in town, in addition to an on-site diving and snorkeling tour agent that is reasonably priced. The pool is awesome with a cool pool bar. They got a decent size aqua park that will keep your little ones busy while you enjoy a drink. Proximity to all the popular touristic spots in the city, about 10-15 mins walk to the Marina, Sheraton street, the fresh seafood market, etc. I can keep talking about this hotel for hours but I will sum it up with the staff, very friendly and caring staff and that is definitely one of the reasons that makes me come back here over and over again. Mohamed Faisal, the duty manager, get out of his way to help me out, thank you man! The best resort in town, hands down.

The biggest plus of the hotel is the sea! It is beautiful, clean and for every taste: you can calmly swim on a mattress in the lagoon, lie down on the shore, look at the ships and look at the scenery and snorkel on a beautiful reef - and this is all in one place, within walking distance from your room! During 10 days of vacation you don’t even get tired of the monotony, because there are actually three different options for spending time at sea
The food was excellent, everything was very, very tasty, the choice was huge, many thanks to the chef for presenting the ethnic cuisine, we tried everything, ate too much every day and couldn’t stop! I can’t even pick out what I liked the most, everything is incredibly tasty, falafel and fried eggplant for breakfast are my personal top) my husband fell in love with Topkapi chicken and Orzo tagine rice)
Strong alcoholic drinks are so-so, we drank little, we didn’t like the whiskey, but it’s clear that for this money no one will pour premium alcohol non-stop, we were prepared for this, we drank mostly local white and red wine, it’s normal
The hotel area is gorgeous, large, there is beauty everywhere, the sea is on all sides, we often walked to Miret, everything is clean, a lot of greenery, well-groomed bushes, lawns, etc., a delight for the eyes, there is a place to take pictures
The staff is very nice, everyone is trying their best, there is no dirt anywhere, everyone is busy with their own business
The rooms are also normal, clean, do not look repulsive, ancient, etc., just such a light, pleasant vintage in places, but everything is made from natural materials, wood, forged elements, metal, and not cheap plastic
It’s cool that there is a water park, even though we didn’t have children, we also went for a ride, we especially liked the Tsunami slide
There’s also everything about animation, it’s fun in the evenings, we didn’t go during the day, we mostly swam
In general, our impression of the hotel is good, there’s nothing to complain about, and the sea on all sides even more negates all the negatives. For the money, the hotel is top - beautiful, with a gorgeous sea and delicious food, if possible, we will come again!

I read negative reviews before the trip and thought: “These are picky people, what could they be unhappy with?” Ha. Ha.
Firstly, we did not live in the hotel we had planned, because our hotel room did not include the rooms we had booked. It would be nice to indicate at least somewhere when ordering a tour that the room you book will affect which hotel you will be in. Otherwise, there are three of them on the territory, and they are not the same in terms of convenient location.
The rooms are “tired”, the staff is lazy, somehow they perk up only when they see an opportunity to earn extra money. Cleaning the area and cleaning the pools begins late in the morning, when all the vacationers are already going out to relax. It is not fate to remove them early in the morning or late in the evening, although they are kicked out of the sea and pools at about 5-6 pm.
I’m keeping quiet about Russian, but even they speak English poorly; only the hotel guide spoke normally (whose goal, again, was to make money and push exorbitant prices on excursions. But at least he helped later). You need to ask for everything several times, only then they will reluctantly do it.
The food is monotonous, you won’t leave hungry, but it’s not particularly tasty.

Our airline and flight time changed, we Googled it ourselves, no one informed us from the hotel. Even after asking, the hotel guide said that there were no changes. And when we arrived at the reception, it turns out the transfer was half an hour earlier.

With a joyful smile they asked us to leave a review.
Well, keep your review 😂

Firstly if you are English this hotel is definitely not for you, it is dominated by Russians and Egyptians. The food here is absolutely horrendous, food hygiene does not exist, it's the same food everyday. The hotel pharmacist even told us not to eat the food in the hotel as it was this that was making us ill. The staff are good and will do anything for you but even they are embarrassed by the food and advised us to eat elsewhere. The hotel is dated and in need of updating. If you are booking through OnTheBeach be aware the photos you are looking at is The Sunny Days Palacio, you will not be staying there. You will be in a hotel across the road called The Sunny Days Mirrette. To get to the Palacio you will have to go across the road and through The Sunny Days Palma. The Mirrette is like a ghost town, the pools are deserted, the bars are closed and the restaurant is never open. The fire alarm goes off every morning at 8am and then will sound constantly throughout the day. Do yourselves a favour, pay that little extra and book elsewhere. Whilst in Hurghada you will be hassled constantly and I mean constantly, they never let up no matter how many times you say no. Don't go in the shops unless you intend to buy as they are on you from when you walk in the door and no matter how much you buy they will keep pushing to sell you more! Everyone here tells us Soma Bay is the place to go if you want to come to Egypt. If you still intend staying here, when it goes pear shaped with the food go and see the pharmacist in the Palma hotel, he is brilliant and knew exactly what to give us, it's taken 4 days eating away from the hotel and taking medication to get right again. The photo is the Palacio.
