Animation team are excellent they are fantastic at including everyone always energetic and 5 star quality too all of them especially KEITA!
The layout of the hotel is nice pool is spacious swim up bar etc, sunloungers seem too get crammed together alot when at busier times meaning randomers all abit on top of each other, some of the other guests which were rude then will move your sunloungers whilst your in the pool too get shaded areas or sun too force yours over abit. But otherwise not bad

The whole hotel on the basis of food and drinks is average, very repetative, all inclusive drinks allows soft drinks beer and 4 cocktails which are very similar and in my opinion a poor range. You then can buy upto another 10 cocktails on a list at 6 euros per drink which again i feel should be included with ALL INCLUSIVE. Or be able too pay a little extra for the duration of stay for the extra drinks.

On arrival somebody took our cases and us too the room, but no welcome pack or any knowledge given about the grounds or the hotel or getting around ( others had recieved this as we found later during our 10 night stay about the welcome pack in which we never even knew about ).
The locals which work around the pool will try too rob you or get one over you. We was offered english pound coins as they cannot exchange them at egypt’s banks. In return we would give them egyptian pounds but make sure you know the exchange rates as they will try too catch you out leaving you short of a few quid.

The food is average and on different nights “ mexican/ french etc “ the food doesnt seem too change too these actual countries of origin for the food, twice within the 10 days i was left needing the toilet alot on 3 days due too some food not quite sure what exactly but maybe the beef?

We visited the shisha bar in the hotel a couple of times as the night time entertainment ( not animation ) was a little average or repatative )
ASHRAF gave us advice money help and knowledge of hurghada outside the hotel including how much taxis should cost too places etc, this was really helpful and reassuring as he seems like one of the only workers apart from the animation team that you can actually trust.
The shisha is a expense on top but i think is very fairly priced and get a good experience with live football sports etc on television and treat like royalty within the bar at all times.

Hurghada itself outside the hotel is like anywhere in egypt you will be hagged and harrassed every shop you pass and every single taxi that drives past you will beep or try and pull you in for a taxi ride.. you have too really put your foot down and get them too understand NO MEANS NO.

MAJOR NEGATIVE… on arrival too our room the majority of the room was average cleanliness. Although the bathroom had hairs around the toilet area and URINE in the toilet left for us too be welcomed too.

There was a door too the next room ( we think ) and every night we was awoken by the loudest snorer ever ( literally no joke ) not that this is the hotels problem but again nothing can be resolved of this

Around the pool you will be offered various expeditions activities or massages etc this could be helpful but even when you say no theu will persist too try and harrass you and change your mind 24/7 every single day becasue they cannot take no for a answer… then if you do finally accept one of them the other employee from the same type of activity or company will get the face on and treat you differently immediatly because they wont receive commission.

If you are a family with kids, it can be enjoyed although the lifeguards will make sure the kids cant have much fun jumping in the pool etc and will constantly blow there whislte towards you unless you are from a certain ethnicity or local in which you can do whatever you please whilst they look the other way.

Although of the negatives we have still enjoyed our time here but as a very average level.
I think this hotel is actually 3 stars not 4

We will not be returning in the future and the other 2 english couples we met here have also said the same.

Not a 4* hotel I wouldn’t give it 2* Where do i begin? 1, On entering the reception I found the staff to be very miserable and not professional sounded like they was arguing with each other. Was told to go get food and then go back to the reception for our room cards. 2, We was taken to our rooms and when we arrived I couldn’t believe how basic they were. 2 single beds and a pullout bed with a mattress chucked on top right in the way of the patio door area so getting in and out of the patio was a nightmare. My sister found her bath full of ants on the night we arrived. The cleaner we had didn’t speak English so was really hard to communicate so had to use google translate to talk to him. I asked guest relations for 2 mugs for the room to be told you don’t get mugs in your rooms as we was not in deluxe rooms which I thought was disgusting as, as far as I’m concerned you shouldn’t be treated any differently just because we wasn’t in a deluxe room as we paid £1250 each and there was 9 of us in our group 2 families. So over £11,250 for the holiday. After I asked to speak to the manager they did agree to get us 2 mugs but waited that long we went to cleopatra bazaar and brought some. Friends of my sister also booked but they had deluxe rooms 2 adults and 2 children they asked for interconnection rooms but was given rooms across the corridor which cost them over £7,000. 3, The pool was one of the smallest I’ve seen. Not what it said online saying you’d struggle to swim from one end of the pool to the other. The shallow end there was lots of broken tiles which the kids cut their feet on. So after the kids wanted to wear water shoes in the pool but was told they wasn’t allowed as it was a health and safety issue. Well in my opinion the broken tiles was more of a health and safety issue. My daughter who burns easily and had a top on in the pool and was told she had to take it off or leave the pool. But was ok for other nationalities to wear tops in the pool. Sun beds was a nightmare to get any under the shade. I even went up one morning at 07.45 and only 3 areas left. We was given a to be back card 45 minutes and time written on when we left. Yet the people on the beds beside us were not on their beds between 9am and 4pm when we left. 4, All inclusive is an absolute joke. You had to pay for a lot of things. We looked on one of the menus and only certain things free on the menu a lot of it was at an extra cost. Fed up of them coming around constantly trying to sell watermelon, cold smoothies a joke when he’s walking around the pools with them so obviously not very fresh or cold. Certain cocktails payable and bottled beers which I understand is payable. Ice cream only available for 1 hour in the afternoon and only other snacks was donuts at 4 pm. The queues in the reception at night to get into the restaurant was an absolute nightmare. Then you’d have staff watching and pointing at their watch near the end of service. Even during the day the food around the pool the queues was massive. Then selling to go eat at the beach bar at night which cost us £20 each kilo so that night cost us £140. 5, got fed up of people walking around trying to sell trips etc. we booked a boat trip costing £500 for a private boat. Then on the morning what a surprise the boat they showed in the pictures to sell which we never saw apparently wasn’t working was offered a smaller boat but we wasn’t happy at the cost as we felt it was false advertising so they did agree to give us some money back. Spa people constantly trying to sell hair braids which mine had already been done back in England before we went yet still asking. My sister had her nails painted and within a hour the polish was coming off so demanded her money back. We booked quad biking was told we would see the sunset but was rushed out and back without seeing the sunset as promised. 6, very under staffed most nights at reception there was only one waiter on one guy was really nice and we tipped him at the beginning every night the other guy hung around after every delivery expecting us to tip again. The guy behind the bar during the day was the most miserable guy I’ve ever met and clearly didn’t like English well in fact we didn’t see any other English the whole 2 weeks. He would serve the people in front then go and serve other people leaving us to wait. The first week it was bottles at the bar as none of the machines was working so warm Fanta and coke being served. 7. I understand that they have repairs to do but they cordoned off one of the exits from reception to the pool area in the middle of the day to fill a crack on the wall. 8, The games room £10 a hour to play pool and they would point at their watch near to the end of the hour and told the kids they couldn’t finish the game as the hour was up even though they were the only ones in there and other empty tables £25 for bowling which I thought was a bit expensive didn’t ask about ice skating. 9, the beach was the only lovely thing but still had to be up early to get a waterfront loungers we actually went down at 5.30 one morning to watch the sunrise which was beautiful. But even at the beach there was a swing lounger but that was payable £16 for the day. Would I return certainly not we have booked for next year but back to where we know is amazing.

Dear Guest, greetings from Ali Baba Palace! Thank you for taking your time and sharing your experience from the latest stay at our resort. We are truly sorry to know that you were not fully satisfied with the vacation spent at Ali Baba Palace and we were not able to meet all your expectations. On the behalf of the entire team we would like to assure you and we highly value each customer despite their nationality, race, sex, religion, etc. Speaking about the AI concept, the full description is available on our website and we are open about the fact that some services are chargeable. As for the rooms and outlets, as you've noticed, we are running some construction works at the moment and by 2024 the hotel is going to be renovated. The rest of your suggestions were forwarded to the heads of the departments and we will work on them as soon as possible. And we are very upset that you've never mentioned all that concerns during the stay. We've been only informed about your request regarding cups in the room (which we've sent right after you've spoke to the Guest Relation Representative), as well as you've second request to provide you daily with the water in the mini bar was fulfilled. We will be pleased and honored to see you again, so you are able to value all positive changes personally. With best regards, Management team Ali Baba Palace

The hotel, in my opinion, should have 5, not 4 stars. It is clear that it already has its years and you can see the passing of time on it. A few places need investment, but I believe it's a matter of time. However, this does not change the fact that everything is at a very good level. I am positively surprised by the facility, but also by the people working in it - very nice and helpful (regardless of whether they get a tip - I checked :) ). Quite a lot of options for vegans, albeit lack of descriptions and after a few days it gets monotonous. No less I appreciate that I did not go hungry. Despite the full hotel, we always found a place in the restaurants. Deluxe rooms as for me super. It's a pity that the water park is open only 6 hours and the pools close at 6 p.m. It's not a big problem, you can arrange it yourself. Water slides, those with pontoons, for children over 10 years and height 120cm.

We have just returned from Ali Baba Palace and have to say as a family of 5 with the youngest child 9 and oldest 15 we have all agreed this was one of the best holidays, The staff were amazing with us, not wanting tips as many say on the reviews, but even remembering our names and shaking hands when they see you walking about and high fives for the kids. Food was really good with lots of choice for breakfast lunch and dinner. The bar staff were great and no problems about how many drinks!. We hit the night club twice with the kids but were so tired we didnt stay long. The water park was great and the staff there too were exceptionally friendly giving you a big push if you asked for the slides and again so so friendly and happy to see you with a smile on your face. We booked the sushi restaurant one night and was again amazed with the freshly made food and service bringing you drinks. We went to Orange bay snorkeling and had a family photo shoot on the beach which was an amazing experience for us all, We didnt have too and wasnt pressured to but we bought the photo stick memory card and album they put together which we paid £140 for but try get a family photo shoot here (uk ) for that and the location was stunning. We also had a fish night on the beech which again was amazing with dancing and music whilst you choose from fish calamari crab and king prawns , Whilst we finished at the fish festival dinner walking in the beach we met Oscar the camel and his owner Michael whom we spoke to and the kids went for rides on Oscar, What a really friendly chap that invited us back the next day for a daytime ride and more photos, this was all for £25 and he must of spent 2 hours with us. One thing I would say is there was not many british for our 15 year old to make friends with but our two boys made friends with some German kids at the kids club the one night they went, I would say say it was 85% German who were really polite. entertainment was also good on a night, having a late night pool party one night also one afternoon having a foam party which the kids loved. In all a really good holiday with lovely weather (41'degrees but a lovely cooling breeze ).

Avoid this place at all costs if you are British! 99% of the 11 nights we have been here, we have been ignored by staff, had run ins with the Germans who think they own the place plus literally pushing us off our sun beds because they want to sit where we are. 4k wasted! A la carte where you go up and get the same buffet food as in the main buffet restaurant...thats really not how a la carte works! Then its 50€ per person to eat at the bbq....shocked is an understatement! By 8.30 am theres no sun beds by the pool, but its only available from 8am, theres no where near enough for the size of the hotel

Had a good holiday at the hotel. The hotel contains everything you need during the holiday. Three trips booked in the hotel safari, snorkelling and the spa. All the trips were nice and good. The staff in the hotel were friendly. The entertainment team was amazing, they do everything to give guests a good holiday. The entertainment programme was also fun and varied. The food was a little less varied, but it was fine. The room was big enough and contained everything you needed. Furthermore, the hotel was well maintained and it all looked beautiful.

The animation team is a very fun group, for young and old. They try to involve the guests as much as possible. All the staff who work there are very welcoming and try to make your vacation the best it can be. The staff where you can book trips like a safari or snorkeling sometimes come to you a little too often to persuade you to book something. The food is good but very monotonous. Generally there is little variety in the buffet.

just got back from a week at Alibaba palace hugarda I have never left a review but our experience was so bad I wanted to warn others. we arrived at approx 0030, the reception staff are very abrupt and very minimal information is given. There were no refreshments available after a whole day travelling, I’ve never been to a hotel that does not have some kind of snack on arrival. we were offered to be shown to the room, we hadn’t yet changed any money and told them we didn’t have any money and therefore were left to find our room in the pitch black, in 35 degree heat in a complex of over 6000 rooms. we were searching for half an hour before we were able to locate it. The room was very dated, not the cleanest and very very basic. The air con was not on and we were unable to work it, the room was unbearably hot so we went to reception for assistance and someone was eventually sent at 0300. With 2 small children this was less than ideal. We were given a room with a bunk bed that was so creaky and wobbly we had to remove the mattress off the top bunk and put it on the floor, this was rectified once a complaint was made. The fridge door was also hanging on by a thread and didn’t shut properly so was difficult to keep water etc cold. The balcony barely fit 2 people on and with a family 4 didn’t make sense. and we were given a pillow case stuffed with sheets as a makeshift pillow. We were given a reps name and number on arrival, however we did not go to the meeting on the first day as from experience, am aware this is mainly to sell excursions. When I required assistance from the rep, I was ignored (even though I could see the message had been read). If you are not out around the pool for 8am you are not getting any shade. The heat is blistering and for such a big hotel there should be more shaded options. One restaurant was closed, therefore we would queue for a long time to enter the remaining 2 restaurants and then also had to queue for food, the food options were very very limited, and not of good standard, the kids options are also really really poor. However if you use ringos restaurant it is much better quality, however I’m not sure why there is a difference in the 2 restaurants. The “all inclusive” is a joke, absolutely everything is an extra charge. If you book into the sushi restaurant anything of any interest is an extra charge. Ice creams, cocktails, watermelon, bottled beer, milkshakes, smoothies are all an additional charge. Not only should these be included in the all inclusive , you are hounded to buy them, all day every day, and when you decline, they are less than discreet and hiding their disgust. Staff offering Excursions are relentless being hounded by multiple staff multiple times a day, again. Very offended if you chose not to. very basic ice cream is available from 2-4pm only. Alcoholic drinks come in paper cups and are 1/4 pint size, and are unable to get more than 1 or 2 at a time and expected to tip every time you get one. The pool bar offers food at lunch, the queues in the blistering sun are long and a real put off, the portion size is tiny and the staff are miserable. In order to get anything in this place you are required to tip, which we did, and would be happy to do however after paying 3.5k for an all inclusive hotel I expect a basic level of care. We were told no end of times that we were unable to splash In the swimming pool, which is ridiculous when you have small children. Especially when they offer foam parties and pool parties, its just contradictory. I really got the impression that Egyptians do not like English. As soon as they heard our accents there was a problem. The hotel is not geared up for English, and it shows as there isnt hardly any there. We met one other English family whilst there for a week. we left the hotel at 8pm and had to check out at 12pm, our cases were left in the hotel reception and we felt very uneasy about this, there is no where safe to store your belongings. There is no where to have a shower (or not that we were told of). I asked if we could keep the towel cards until later so that we could have a shower by the pool and were told we needed to leave our passports as deposits. When our transfer were an hour late, the reception staff refused to help and just kept telling us to wait 5 more minutes. However I’m sure if we had tipped them they would of been more obliged to help. On a positive note, we needed to use the hospital connected to the hotel and the staff there were very good. The pool parties, foam parties and beach parties are really fun and very original. We went to our friends room to get changed and their room was much more modern and would have been very happy with that standard of room.
