We have just returned from a family break at the Ali Baba and everything about it was superb!
Rooms - We paid to upgrade to a deluxe room and it did not disappoint, the room was spacious and comfortable and the cleaning staff worked hard to ensure the rooms were spotless. I would definitely recommend paying extra as I was made aware that not all the rooms are of this quality - we had an adjoining room costing £500 extra but well worth it.
Food - Excellent. Great variety of foods and not once did I not fancy anything on offer. The waiting staff and chefs are happy to help with whatever you want, the fresh pasta is fab and the pizzas/fresh bread at the beach are wonderful. The pool bar offers lovely chicken wings and chips, perfect for those who don't want to get dressed for lunch and prefer something informal. The A La Carte restaurants are top notch especially Shogun and the Teppanyaki grill. If you like seafood be sure to book the fish restaurant on Sundays. I didn't realise I could have visited these restaurants twice during my stay - gutted!!
Pool Area - Clean with plenty of sunbeds. Pool staff are attentive and look after you especially Mohammed. The Pool Bar is great with lots of seating to enjoy a fresh coffee and cocktail - Salah at the bar is fab! He makes lovely cocktails and you can buy nicer cocktails if you wish - I would recommend the Mojitos, they are 300 Egyptian extra but worth it.
Entertainment - For Egypt, the entertainment is good. Most activities in the day are suitable for all including aqua aerobics and darts. We didn't use the kids club as my children are too old but they did take part in some activities. All evening entertainment is outside so make sure if going in winter take a jacket as it gets very cold. The foam parties in the pool are great fun as is the water park with staff there very friendly and helpful.
Out and about - A visit to the Marina is worth it - don't book a taxi at the hotel, download Uber and expect to pay 250 Egyptian for the trip. Its safe and very convenient but some drivers will try it on for extra money! I didn't go to Senzo Mall but heard it was worth it for some bargains, again less than 100 in a taxi or a 10/15 minute walk.
We had such a good time, we have already booked to return for Christmas this year.

I’ve just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel with my boyfriend and 7 nights was not long enough at all. We arrived late evening and the restaurant was open for latecomers for something to eat. The bar remained open until 12:30 for all inclusive drinks. Check in was nice and easy, we had a huge room which was very clean and had a lovely pool view with a large balcony. There are bottles of water in the fridge in the room that are replenished every day. All staff very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of sun beds around the pool with space to move around to follow the sun. All inclusive drinks include beer, wine and spirits with some cocktails available. I had previously read a review that it is ‘impossible to get drunk’ and I can promise that from personal experience this is incorrect. There are other cocktails that are an extra cost but this is made clear. Staff walk around the pool selling excursions, fresh juices and staff from the spa, will take no for an answer easily or you can get a do not disturb sign from the towel hut. Me and my boyfriend had a massage which was €25 each, affordable and amazing! Food was a standard all inclusive food, they have speciality restaurants which were lovely, the Teppanyaki was amazing, as was the seafood/bbq night, both pre-bookable and easy to do. Entertainment was good, dancers and singers in the evening. The entertainment is in the main reception area, there does seem to be a slight issue with people reserving tables with items such as a coat or sunglasses and not returning whilst they go for their evening meal so it can sometimes be difficult to find a table but we managed to find one every night. There was a carnival style night on the Friday which was amazing for both kids and adults. The hotel offers both bowling and ice skating at a small extra cost, we did the bowling and I would recommend. I’d say the highlight of the hotel is the onsite club, solely because of Abo the barman, he was so kind and amazing, he ensured we was never without a drink and always had a smile on his face giving us great seats, he is a legend!! The tiki bar on the beach was also another highlight, the sun beds on the beach are cushioned and in a lovely shaded hut. We was able to keep our room on for our last day and it cost £16 in English money. The hotel accepts dollar, euro and cards. The on site shop also accepted English money. The waterpark is in the sister hotel, the Aladdin and is free to use for Ali Baba guests, it opens at 10am and is a 3 minute walk (maximum) from the hotel reception. If you go on a little walk from the beach the Aladdin hotel has some monkeys and a dog who we was able to walk which we found a lovely experience. WiFi in the hotel is a bit hit and miss but this doesn’t bother us at all. I was a bit nervous visiting after reading some of the reviews but honestly I wouldn’t hesitate to visit Hurghada and the Ali Baba palace again, we truly had the most amazing holiday.

Let's start with the check-in. We met in a cozy and (thank God) cool lobby)) They told us everything, explained it, helped us connect Wi-Fi (which, by the way, works great here). We were immediately checked into our room and sent out to eat. By the way, the food here is simply awesome, be sure to try the pasta, it’s delicious. The entire staff is sociable, easy to get in touch with, everyone is smiling, in general the atmosphere is fire. The rooms are convenient in terms of location and "interior appearance") Each room has air conditioning, which is a great help during siesta. The guys cleaning the room leave beautiful figures made from towels and fresh flowers. You come in tired of a huge number of cool events and see such beauty - your soul sings) Special admiration for the animators, they are all such sweethearts here, they are all kind and sociable, they will always help, support and amuse. All events are held at 5+ Be sure not to go to your rooms immediately after dinner, there is a lot to see here. Every evening there is a new show for every taste and color. In general, the hotel is super, this is my 7th time here and I haven’t regretted a single one. I'll definitely be back next year)

They rested from December 31 to January 7, 2025. I'm writing a truthful review especially for my countrymen that they had no illusions about four stars. By the fact of arrival at the hotel: the hotel is dirty with bad boorish staff. There's no room with icy slipper tile floors. The towels are not ironed, wet. They asked for a foot towel - gave me an old torn one. No hygiene products from the word at all (no shampoo, no disposable soap, nothing) For the entire bath, room two on the walls of the dispenser with liquid soap, the same on the sink and in the booth. Hairdryer electrocutes, not too much, but unpleasant. New Year's Gala dinner, which is actually until 10:30 p.m. Then it's all for the money, and the table and drinks and all the holiday paraphernalia. Speaking of 35 euros for lame champagne, I'm not prepared to pay. The party was completely ruined. In 7 nights we never changed towels, not once. Maximum garbage was thrown out-and all cleaning ended there. And all service is open hinting at tips.Tip-it-will be room and towel cleaning. Tip-you-will-have-a-coke not from the machine, but from a glass bottle, like all German vacationers (they have a special trepidation)) At our Christmas, the same story with the Gala dinner. In the presence of the guests, the waiters wind down the work, remove the tablecloths, start cleaning the hall, making it clear that our holiday is only for us a holiday, and they have an extra hemorrhage 2 hours later than usual.Dinner 6.12 also until 22-30. The only thing there's no complaints about is the food, it's abundant, it's for every taste and deliciously cooked. The second time I will not go to this hotel and do not recommend it to Russian tourists. He's not pulling four stars at all. At all!!!

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the experience was disappointing. We were given no information whatsoever—nothing about the restaurants (some of which required booking), what was included in the all-inclusive package, the hotel’s facilities, towel collection, or any basic guidance. We were simply handed our room key and told to follow a staff member who would assist with our bags.
The staff member led us around the hotel, then suddenly asked us to wait at the bottom of some steps. We were left standing there for about 20 minutes before he returned. When we finally got to our room, he entered, closed the door behind him, and lingered awkwardly. It was clear he was expecting a tip, so I gave him 200 Egyptian pounds (£3.21). Even then, he wouldn’t leave immediately, making us—two female travelers—feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. After some awkward conversation, we finally managed to get him to leave.
With no information provided at check-in, we had to rely on other guests to find out simple things like where to get towels, whether the bottled water in our room was free, and which restaurants were included in our package. The restaurant service was poor, with bland, dry food that was the same every day, often cold or undercooked.
One evening, we booked the Shogun restaurant for 6:30 PM. We arrived at 6:20, were seated promptly, and had our orders taken right away. However, after an hour and a half of waiting with no food, while other guests who arrived after us were already receiving their second courses, we gave up and left at 8 PM.
The service throughout the hotel was inconsistent and frustrating. One day, we had no hot water, and when we asked about it, the staff casually mentioned plumbing issues that would take a day to fix. Around the pool and beach, we were constantly harassed by vendors trying to sell excursions, food, and drinks—sometimes every five minutes—making it impossible to relax. Staff were generally unfriendly unless they were trying to sell us something or saw cash in our hands. Suddenly, when money was visible, they became much more helpful.
The restaurant service was erratic, with some guests receiving plates piled high with food while others were given only a couple of pieces. Drinks, such as slushies, were served in tiny ice cream cups, and if we asked for a larger cup, we were met with eye-rolls or outright refusal. The pool was freezing, sun loungers were either broken or filthy, and cleanliness was generally lacking.
One day, our room was out of bottled water. When I requested some, I was told I would have to pay €1 per bottle, even though it was supposed to be included. Our room safe kept malfunctioning, and despite multiple calls to reception, we were made to wait over an hour for someone to come and fix it - even after being promised they were coming immediately. In the end, we gave up using it altogether.
Overall, the service was terrible, and the staff were unhelpful unless money was involved. This hotel is advertised as a 4-star resort, but I would struggle to give it 2 stars. I would not recommend staying here.

Stayed one week. A large and busy resort with a water park. The main pool is too cold to enjoy, the water park and baby pool are warmer. The baby pool has a sunshade covering all of it. There's a small pool in the waterpark that has small slides. Unfortunately the water squirting out the top was too powerful and the 2 and 4 year old didn't like it. They only need a trickle of water down the slide Our rooms were modern and comfortable. A special big thank you to Fathy Abd El Nawgoud and Ahmed Kadry. Both of these men serviced our rooms and would make sure we had everything we needed. They always smiled and said hello to us. They were brilliant when the children were sick and cleaned up after them and promptly changed the sheets and towels. Even asking how they were when we passed them on the landing. The rest of the staff within the hotel weren't so friendly. The 2 ladies on customer relations were rude. The staff at the bar in the lobby would walk away after you'd ordered to chat with a co-worker. The guys around the pool were OK, they'd make sure we had beds. Talking of which, never had any problems with getting a bed. The restaurants are busy especially at 6pm when young families go and eat. Food was nice, fresh and piping hot. Could do with a bigger fresh fruit selection and ice cream. They do need to get rid of the birds in the beach restaurant, think they should hire a hawk to sit and guard the food. I did have a few issues during my stay and was invited to discuss my concerns with management, which I did. Overall it's a nice hotel, great for families and was a bargain through easyjet holidays. I wouldn't return because it's just too busy for me. Ideal for families with young children.

Excellent stay at Ali Baba palace with the staff taking centre stage in making this hotel one of the best we have stayed at. Rooms were great overlooking the pool, some were getting renovated while we were there but didnt hear a thing. Rooms have everything you need with a fridge, air conditioning and safe at no extra cost. Rooms were cleaned every day if you wanted it I however had it done every other day as I requested and if I ever needed anything extra like water or more towels they were very happy to privide. Food was great with a wide veriety, the italian restraunt was the best all round restaraunt for breakfast and dinner. Shout out to El Sayed Gamil for the waiter service there and El Shahat the chef who will make you the best omelettes and pizzas made from fresh also the two managers for these restaraunts work very hard so shout out to Mo Mostafa and Hassan Metwally these guys will look after you very well. For evening meal go to Shogun restaraunt that does amazing tapanyaki and asian a la carte cuisine which is free twice during a weeks stay. Shout out Islam Ezzat who made this experience the best, this restaraunt is the best in the hotel in our opinion. Drinks are very good to get either at the lobby bar or the pool bar, they have everything on offer, there are however premium cocktails that you can pay for. Look for Mo Hassan in the lobby bar who will look after you very well. What we were most impressed by was the way the staff would take some time out in their day to have a chat with you and listened to all our opinions and needs so thank you Ahmed Nasr for doing this. Overall this hotel was ideal for all age groups and I would recommend it to anyone! Thank you and see you soon.

This is by far the worst ever hotel! Don’t waste your money, not worth it! We went to Ali Baba Resort mid August for a week and have never regretted something as much as this! When we first checked in we got given rooms near the beach and when I made the booking I specified that we’re travelling with 2 x disabled people and require ground floor rooms and near the restaurants! We spent the whole day back and forth still they’ve changed our rooms! The restaurant food is repetitive, what you have for lunch is what you get for dinner with small additions. I’ve travelled & work in travel and never have I experienced anything like this! The pool bar is useless unless you’re Russian or German! We were a large group and we’d been waiting for over an hour to be served and then to be told you can’t have it in the pool (contradicts the word “pool bar”) the staff are SOOO rude and so unprofessional, I’ve spoken to 2 x managers and yet nothing got resolved, absolutely disgusting of a service! The entertainment was really low and the kids of the whole group haven’t been wanting to go to any of the evening shows because it was nothing special nor attractive for the kids. The in house alcohol was terrible hence why the group only had a pint because the rest of the cocktails were inedible. It’s so disappointing because we’ve actually paid a premium to go mid August! Save your money or add a couple of hundred pounds more and stay in a better hotel. Also if you’re going to travel with an elderly or a vulnerable person you should be aware of how slippery the floors are around the pool, there’s no safety whatsoever. There’s also one lifeguard who walks around the whole entire pool, but because he’s not sat on top of the pool area he missed a boy who almost drowned where his mother had to jump in with her normal clothes in to help him out. Me as a travel agent I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone because it’s simply not what you pay for. Ali Baba resort the least you can offer is a better customer service regardless of background!

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, it is important to clarify that your stay was not without its challenges. Upon your arrival, you were provided with rooms as requested, yet numerous changes were made at your insistence, leading to significant disruptions for both our team and other guests. Regarding the pool bar service, we strive to serve all our guests equally, regardless of nationality. The safety around our pool area is a priority, and we have lifeguards on duty to monitor the space. However, it is the responsibility of guests to ensure their children's safety as well. We understand that our dining options may not suit everyone's preferences, but we offer a variety of meals aimed at satisfying a broad range of tastes. Our team worked hard to accommodate your needs during a busy period, and it is disappointing to hear that these efforts were not acknowledged. While we appreciate your perspective as a travel agent, it is clear that your experience does not align with the majority of our guests who enjoy their stay with us. We encourage you to reach out directly if you wish to discuss any specific concerns further. Sincerely, Ali Baba Resort Management

This was our first time at this hotel and our first time in Egypt so we had no idea what to expect. My Mum and I have had the most amazing time and have been so well looked after by all staff, especially the waiters at the Italian and Oriental restaurants, the room attendant at room 4830, the pool attendant, the spa staff and a massive shoutout to Zorro from the animation team for making us feel very welcome - Zorro is very friendly and such a nice guy!
We have enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Italian and oriental restaurant and being able to go between the two restaurants meant we were always able to find loads to eat! Food was very good and always hot. Special mention to the kind man making the pizzas in the Italian resturant. Once you take the time to engage with the waiters they will remember your drinks order and offer you drinks straight away.
We booked a few massages and a facial through Adam at the spa, which we would highly recommend as they are such good value and the staff are very good at what they do.
We enjoyed sunbathing at the quieter end of the pool which was not heated but more relaxing as the large families congregate around the heated area and the bar. The pool attendant cannot do enough for you and he always laid out our towels on our favourite beds and ensures you have fresh towels.
We were in a deluxe room which was lovely. We had fresh bottled water everyday from our room attendant. Shower was a rainfall shower which we loved!! Only issue is we could hear everything from the room next door due to there being an interconnecting door.
There is free wifi across the whole hotel which is very good. There area areas to get water throughout the hotel, as well as fizzy drinks and juice. There is food available throughout the day at the restaurant and pool and beach bar.
We had no idea what to expect but my advice now is to not be afraid of trying a new culture! You are not going to get the same experience as you will in Europe - it’ll be much better!
Thank you for a lovely holiday and we would recommend this hotel to anyone - see you next year!

The pillows are the fluffiest actually haha the hotel is very clean the staff are wonderful and very helpful, loads of bar staff wanting to help and loads of cleaning staff again very polite and helpful, the beach is great and the sea is very warm however you will be harassed by the water sports guys allll day, they're mostly friendly but there was one called "rocky" who wasn't pleasant the beach restaurant is great fresh pizza made Infront of you and chefs and staff are brilliant very helpful. Young Abdul was always very happy and wanting to do anything for you, just a great person. And the beach bar man "Administration 001" (name tag) was always wanting to make you laugh and learn Arabic, the restaurant in the hotel are good and very clean, the Chefs majority of them wore PPE so not cross contamination, the breakfast was always the same but you could find something to eat, lunch was always a variety and dinner was themed so something different, the "special" restaurant one was a Japanese themed and it was ok nice to have a change and the other one I'd call Turkish BBQ was hit n miss, 1st time it was very showy and a spectial the 2nd time was like being in the buffet next door, The shops in the hotel the staff there just want your money and lots off it, I'd suggest just going out and visit other shops. The Animation team Were fine, I feel like they should have announced what was happening during the day and perhaps got people involved but you wouldn't see them during the day CJ however was brilliant he genuinely made us feel like he was our friend and took an interest in what we had to say, CJ you made our Holiday There is indoor bowling aswell which I think the hotel should utilise more the kids club was great aswell always interacting with the kids The pools are good one is lovely n warm the other is a cold Baltic ice water with a swim up bar that you can get served at, only down side is forever chasing the sun around the umbrellas. There is also a shesha bar that you can watch sports and check on the scores Also before I forget the WiFi is actually not bad
Any tips well Bring dollars for tips Bring anti acids for the alcohol And don't be afraid to say NO But enjoy the hotel it is good and a sold 8.9 out of 10
