This hotel was fantastic from start to finish, we tried the bbq, Greek, Indian and fish restaurant along with the buffet and all of the food was outstanding! All staff are friendly and helpful always kind and willing to assist with anything you may need. The facilities are lovely we spent the majority of our days on the beach but also a day around the pool and both were super relaxing. Towels are lovely and soft and thick. The waiters work so hard they deserve tips so please tip them! Entertainment team were one of the best I’ve experienced especially sam and max their energy is unmatched and they are never pushy like some animation teams I have experienced in the past! Entertainment was great the live music at the lobby bar was fantastic every night. I don’t know how anyone has written a negative review about this place I would 100% stay here again. I even got engaged while on this holiday and our cleaner covered the whole bed in petals and arranged them in a lovely design! All the staff helped us celebrate and remembered our names and the whole thing felt so personal it was lovely! If you are thinking about booking here do it!!

Such a huge resort, kept immaculate by many, many hard working staff. As an idea of size, it takes five minutes to walk from the reception area to Felluca, the additional cost, and excellent fish restaurant at the end of the jetty. All of the a-la-carte are excellent, although service is sometimes a bit too quick. The main dining room offers a vast array for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our room (505) was very near the main area, and the evening entertainment could sometimes be heard. The entertainment could be improved. The room could hardy be improved. It was a good size, with a good sized shower too. It was all kept very clean by house keeping. The swimming pools are huge, sparkling clean, and warm, surrounded by plenty of available loungers. Service, in EVERY bar, restaurant is first class. Every waiter, barman is super efficient. And also appreciative of a few dollars every now and then. Or Euros or pounds. Would I go back? Absolutely. For an easy week being looked after well, and well fed. This place is excellent.

We decided that a few days of relaxing and scuba diving would be a great way end our fabulous adventure to Egypt. We had a luxury suite with a great room, a private pool, and an incredible butler - Mohamed. The food was wonderful in the restaurants, and at the Posh Club - with a great staff. Mohamed arranged our scuba at Dive More Group which took care of that aspect of our trip beautifully. There are not a lot of Americans in this area, even though English is never an issue. It was a beautiful end to our vacation.

This was our sixth visit to the Crystal Bay resort although the first time since it became a TUI Blu resort. It is still one of our favourite destinations. The staff are excellent especially Mo at the bar, Max in the Entertainment team and Sherif in Yades. Food very good in all restaurants. We tried the Egyptian al la carte for the first time and loved it. We especially loved the Sunday evening beach party and the Thursday afternoon foam party at the beach. The pool is a lovely temperature for swimming. Room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was good to see the management team regularly interacting with the guests around the pool area checking everything was good with their stay.

Have been meaning to write a review on this place because we really wanted upcoming customers to be so excited to come here! We left the end of October and I still have the holiday blues the place is FANTASTIC! The staff can’t do enough for you, they really treat you like family, after going out for the day on excursions you get the greeting “welcome home!” By the staff which was so lovely. The food here is so nice! I am a foodie and the amount of a la cartes you can go into for free is just amazing! You honestly will not struggle to eat here & each waiter / chef really try and make sure you are having a good time - nothing is too much trouble! Our cleaner was so funny bless him, always making us animals out of our towels, fresh mini bar stocked daily, we chose a superior room side sea view and WOW our room overlooked the volleyball area and the lagoon is right in front! We could see the bbq to the side which is all lit up with fairy lights at night and yades further across. The place is my new little slice of heaven and we can’t wait to come back!! Mohammed deserves a special mention, we were here for two weeks and he was there by the pool making sure we had everything we needed every single day with a smile and a “habibi!” We love him. Foxy in reception is also wonderful, I let him know I was an agent and wanted to see the jacuzzi suite so I could take some content, he had me sent down in a gold buggy, a “posh club” employee waiting for me when i got there to show me around and tell me everything about the suite, amenities and even sent me some documents to my personal email to help me sell this room type! Honestly never been to a place like it before, if you have booked / thinking of booking to come here you are in for a treat!! I have been highly recommending this hotel to all my customers in need of a special holiday / looking to come to Egypt and I know for sure they will have the best time here! Hope to see you all again soon <3

Pros Firstly their customer service is fantastic. A special thank you for Shrief who workes In Yades at lunch time for always greeting us so warmly. We stayed for our honeymoon/ partners birthday. We were given a free partial sea view, towels made into swans with rose petals and a happy honeymoon cake on arrival. They also gave us another happy birthday cake on my partners actual birthday. Lovely weather- more than warm enough to sun bathe in mid November (need a jacket at night in November-Long thick dresses or bottoms as can be windy). Staff can’t do enough for you- All very friendly and will go out of their way to say hello. Some members of staff remembered me and my husband from last year and greeted us with “welcome home”. All staff work incredibly hard: entertainment, house keeping, bar staff all cannot be faulted. Around the hotel is very clean. Staff work hard to maintain this. Beautiful gardens also. Good variety of activities in the day- Ariel yoga was a favourite of ours. A bit of everything to suit all. Pretty fish within walking distance for snorkelling, can walk through the hotel next door and use their pier. Can book restaurants as many times as you want, we used the Tui blue app. We recommend Elia (Mediterranean) Madagascan beef was lovely and Manohar (Indian). Mangal looks very pretty and perfect if you like bbq food but not my cup of tea and not so keen on yades (Greek)in the evening although we ate here for lunch most days as their fajitas and pizzas were nice. The staff at yades are also all lovely, very attentive. Also tried Dalila this was okay but wouldn’t book again. Management team are also visible and ask guest about their experience to better their hotel. Bar staff circulate often bringing drinks to where you are sat. Tips are appreciated but never expected. Well stocked mini fridge replenished daily with water, beer and branded fizzy pop. Cons. Mosquitoes. Myself and my partner had a few bites in 2022 but nothing significant. This year we both have around 20 each some of which are very inflamed and itchy. I appear to be allergic to them. This has made our stay uncomfortable at times. Make sure you bring repellent and bite cream as they aren’t cheap out here. Upset stomach. We were okay in 2022 and chose to re-visit the hotel despite some reviews about stomach bugs as they appeared to be from several months ago and the price of the holiday was cheap. We paid around £630 in 2022 and £725 in 2023 per person. We travelled with diarrhoea tablets as a precaution as you can get them cheap at home in the UK (£1 a box from savers, body care etc) and we were glad we did as my husband and me both had upset stomachs one morning around half way through the holiday. No severe cramps to start with. We both took our tablets and this appeared to ease. We couldn’t pinpoint what caused this as our food had been enjoyable, warm, well cooked etc however could have only been from the hotel as we didn’t eat off the complex. The following day my stomach had eased but remained feeling unsettled so I took some more tablets as a precaution, as did my husband. My upset stomach had stopped however later that day over 24 hours after it had started my husbands diarrhoea and cramps had started again meaning we spent our last evening in our hotel room to avoid having to keep running to the toilet. When eating our evening meal we overheard the couple next to us discussing that they were going to skip dessert and go back to their room as their “stomach couldn’t handle it”. When landing in Egypt the cabin crew advised us that we must only drink bottled water so I’m unsure if the upset comes from food being washed In Tap water. This didn’t ruin our holiday completely due to the late onset but it did dampen the last two days as my husband was in significant pain on our last night. This stomach upset is still on going 48 hours after handing home to the point my husband has been unable to go to work and is in significant pain. I do not think we would return in a hurry due to the level of discomfort and disruption this has caused even after returning home. Although our room was clean and relatively modern the bathroom had seen better days. Silicon and grout needed removing and re-doing due to some discolouration and mould. This is not a reflection of the house keeping. Things were always visibly as clean as they could be- there just needs to be some renovation. Loose wall fixture. also gave the bathroom a tired look. Bathrobe provided needed replacing as had a hole in.Although this isn’t the end of the world there is a need for improvement. I don’t We also noticed that the pancakes and waffles this year are cooked in bulk, kept warm in a sealed unit then placed on display when running low. When staff did this they did not throw away the old dry ones that were left on the bottom whereas in 2022 they were always fresh no matter what time we went for breakfast. I think maybe last year they were only cooked as needed and not stored. I would say out of our 7 days they were only fresh twice this year. This is only a small criticism as there are still lots of other fresh things at breakfast eg omelette and pastry however for guest like myself who only eat waffles or pancakes for breakfast I found myself sometimes skipping this meal. Entertainment staff are encouraged to get guests to write reviews of the hotel whilst they are trying to enjoy their day e.g sun bathing or watching the evening singer. Although this is done tastefully and starts With a conversation about guest experience it feels a little pushy and I feel guests should be encouraged to leave a review if they wish at the end of their stay. I also feel that asking guests to write reviews with staff standing next to them may alter to truth of the review with some guesting feeling obligated to leave reviews that are solely positive.

Stayed for two weeks at start of November. Weather was perfect hovering around 30° most days and more than warm enough to sit outside in the evenings. Hotel spotless, lobby area huge and modern. Drinks in the bars were OK but cocktails hit and miss depending where you went. Local brand spirits, so not the best. Wine was quite good. Food, considering they cook for so many people was outstanding. Plenty of variety, constantly refreshed. Very good salad selection, lots of fresh breads. Dessert section was fabulous. There are restaurants you can book for the evening. We booked the Greek, Turkish and Indian. All were absolutely fantastic. Special mention to Omar, he works the beach bar and works tirelessly along the adult section of the beach. Grounds were beautiful and ground staff kept it that way daily. Room was sufficient, although quite basic. Entertainment team worked hard, but the evening entertainment lacking. They had a Cuban female singer that came in once each week, she had such a good voice. There were other entertainers, but in my opinion were poor. Overall a very good holiday in the winter sun.

First visit to Hurgharda since 2015, but regular users if TUI Blue so a natural choice for us Arrived around 11pm, slick check in albeit no welcome drink, quickly to our room which was very well placed on the 500 corridor, we did not bother with the late arrival snack facilities Room very spacious, walk in shower, safe, fridge with soft drinks & beer, tea/coffee/water Tv etc - maybe could have done with 2/3 more drawers. Quickly on to Wi-Fi which stayed very reliable throughout our stay. Room was very well cleaned everyday Hotel has extensive eating options, buffet, 5 a la cartes within plan + a payable sea food option In addition has afternoon tea room, shisha cafe, cocktail bar, sports loping and pub, pool bar with swim up option, beach bar , upstairs terrace bar and main reception bar which is 24 hours albeit not for alcohol Food offerings include Mediterranean, Indian, Egyptian, Greek & Turkish barbecue. Buffet is extensive for all of breakfast lunch and dinner, but can get a bit ‘samey’ Bars have reasonable range of drinks with one or two noticeable absentees - sparkling wine, Baileys, Tia Maria Two large pools with segments such as kids pools with a large separate jacuzzi Lots of sunbeds, traditional style, some with individual sun screens, those on the beach with thick cushions - in water seating, hammock , Egyptian cushioned area plus dotted around they have Bali Beds & mattresses . Many sunbeds at the pool are located under fixed wooden shading, so very few individual umbrellas . Very noticeable the towel hut and pool bar were active well before their stated time each day - the towels were really nice and thick and long - well Egyptian towels are one of their specialities We would have preferred to see the pools and outside restaurants as no -smoking with dedicated smoking areas made a short distance away, as we have experienced at other TUI Blue Hotels Hotel has extensive gardens , plants, trees all of which are superbly maintained The TUI Blue rep suggested we should do small tipping everyday, but we don’t carry cash around and we left our tipping to the end. We did not notice any element of poor service during our stay as a result of this There are lots of mosquitos around and they took a shine to my wife but she got off mildly compared to some - hotel did provide some precautionary plug ins but the vulnerable areas seem to be outside morning breakfast tables and the barbecue restaurant The TUI Blue team are extremely busy on a wide range of activities - from our perspective the music for much of the time was simply too loud as it was of boom, boom, boom ! We did not take any excursions nor use the spa Went to cocktail, and cooking classes which were interesting Guests can also access the water park and its bar a couple of hotels away along the beach just by showing your wristband - again we did not use Small range of retail inside the hotel with a pretty large shopping centre directly opposite Everything was fantastic until we went to the Fruit Festival held at the pool bar as from this we are 99% sure we picked up the dreaded Egyptian tum which spoilt our last 2/3 days and made the journey home challenging. But we made it. Would we recommend the hotel, despite the medical issue, yes, we are usually careful but with hindsight we let our guard down! We came across a good few other guests with similar issues , some had been confined to their rooms for a couple of days or had reverted to simple diet Would we revisit, probably not. I am conscious of the trouble in the world today but Hurghada airport was horrendous. It is very clean, modern, with plenty of space and excellent signage. But it’s processes are simply cumbersome - full security checks just to get in and then repeated after checkin. Staff were simply rude and kept confiscating items without any sensible reason with the ladies really suffering as such as 50ml deodorants were taken from them

Very pleasant stay at the TUI Crystal Blue. Everyone seems to work very hard all the time and the hotel and grounds were very clean and tidy. Selection and quality of food and drink also very good compared to other Egyptian 5 stars I’ve stayed it. The Indian and BBQ were excellent and Yades lunchtime ‘burger and chips, ect were good. Thankfully no tummy problems. Drinks round the pool ect we found to be good although the quality/ service you get sometimes very much depends on how much you tip…..when considering how much we’ve already paid for the holiday I would like everyone to get a similar service whatever however that’s Egypt for you so just have to accept that culture if you visit. Only reason for 4 star rating (as was raised with the management on one of their customer interviews around the pool) is that the hotel is alittle tired and showing it’s age. Our room whilst being large and clean was very tired with broken tiles and lots of noticeable repairs/ patch ups. It felt abit tatty and lacked a feeling of luxury that I would expect from an Egyptian 5 star hotel (not the same as a Uk 5*) . Also the bedding whilst clean was all bobbly and the towels were frayed an old. Around the pool there is also lots of broken tiles and noticeable ware and tear. The staff were doing repairs an busy all the time however at some point they just need to spend the money and spend the time for an overdue renovation. Animation team were very friendly and there was enough to get involved if you wanted to. The foam party on the beach was lots of fun for us and my 6 year old. The water slides in the hotel next door we’re also very good. The beach at the hotel is rubbish for snorkelling (but I expected that being it’s artificial). However if you go out on the pontoon next door it’s much better. No problem with sun beds around the pool or beach but the hotel seemed a little quieter in November so at peek summer I can imagine things get more busy….and heated! Overall happy with our holiday but just wished the room had been a-little plusher as it just missed any feeling of luxury (luckily you don’t spend too much time in the room). I would return but only once I knew the hotel had been given abit of a well overdue facelift.

A superb hotel for a relaxing break. Check in was efficient, we were immediately made to feel welcome with a drink in the main reception area and the receptionist came to us to check us in. We were shown to our room and given various bits of information along the way, while our luggage followed on. The room was spacious and functional, not the most luxurious, but perfect for our needs. It was cleaned, and the towels changed, every day. We visited five of the seven restaurants and the food and service were excellent in all of them. There was a wide choice on each menu, also at the main buffet restaurant. Overall, we’d rate the food as the best we’ve ever had at a holiday hotel and, with 3 course lunches and dinners, we both ate far too much! Unusually for an AI hotel, the wine and beer were both very good as were the cocktails. A special “Cheers buddy” to Mohammed in the Sports Bar. The main pool was huge and was heated when we were there. There were plenty of sunbeds to go round and you can get fresh towels from the towel hut every day. The drinks service at the pool was great, the waiter never stopped doing the rounds. All the staff are amazing, so friendly, polite and helpful. They all work incredibly long hours and are a credit to the hotel. There are plenty of staff trying to sell you spa treatments and boat trips, but you can get a red flag form the towel hut to tell them you don’t want to be disturbed. We were surprised how often a staff member or member of the entertainments team asked us what we thought of the place, if we had any complaints or if we’d like to change anything. They really do seem to care what their customers think and every comment was noted. There are a number of shops in the hotel, but they are extremely expensive (20 Euro for an inflatable doughnut). Much better to venture outside, but every shopkeeper will try and get you into his shop. A polite “La, shukran” as you hurry by normally does the trick. The biggest pests, after the mosquitoes, were the taxi drivers who would constantly stop and try and entice you into their cab. A very persistent bunch, some of whom weren’t very happy to be turned down. The best place to shop is the Senzo Mall, no pestering in there, but you will get hassled by cab drivers if you walk there. That’s also where the official pharmacy is (El Ezaby) and that’s the best (and cheapest place) to go. It’s also the place to go for a local SIM card and there’s even a KFC, McDonald’s and Pizza Hut. We appeared to be there in the height of the mosquito season, judging by the number of bites we got, and nothing seemed to deter them. We had plug-ins in the room and covered ourselves in Off, to no avail. Antihistamines and steroid cream didn’t help much either, once we had been bitten. All in all, we had a great holiday in a wonderful hotel. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and will definitely be going back.
