Eagles Paradise Abu Soma Resort boasts a serene beachfront location that, according to guests, offers a familial atmosphere and frequent entertainment. While the rooms earn praise for cleanliness and space, some visitors have experienced issues with them being outdated or not matching their reservations. The hotel's meticulous cleanliness, especially in rooms and beach areas, receives commendation. However, opinions on value are mixed, with reports of unexpected costs and overpriced items. Despite generally friendly and attentive service, instances of unresponsiveness cast a shadow for a few travelers.

Vacation is great! The sea is within walking distance, wi-fi is available throughout the hotel, the food is varied and tasty, basic drinks and alcohol are free, but there is a paid bar where they make the most delicious cocktails, but for a fee. The room is cleaned every day, a 1.5 liter bottle of water is provided every day. Nothing is missing. The staff is polite, the animators are great, you won’t let you get bored. There is no disco on site, but you can go outside the hotel with animators for money. Along the way, we weren’t settled in a bungalow, but in a distant building, it’s not really that great there, of course you can live, you have everything you need, I had to wait two days, and when the bungalow became available, they moved me in for free. The beach is excellent, the sea is clean, sandy, no special shoes are needed, the entrance is smooth, beautiful 😍 you can swim with a mask and see fish and turtles. A measured, calm holiday is here. Partygoers will be bored.

Me and my partner had 3 weeks in January/February. The weather was pleasant without being too hot. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Joseph the barman speaks great English and is a delight. All the staff try so hard to make a pleasant time for the holiday makers and whilst many dont speak fluent English.......they will get someone to help if there is a language barrier. It is an international hotel with Germans, Dutch, Russian and many other nationalities. The omlette chef in the morning is also a dream. He had my omlettes on the go as soon as I arrived in the mornings. They try so hard to make a variety of foods and we didnt have a single complaint in 3 weeks. Waiters were helpful....porters too. They work so very very hard to try and please guests and that must be so difficult when you consider the hours they work for very little money. So tips are important to them....they like Euros/Pounds more than Egyptian currency. A £1 tip is probably an hours work for them! The rooms are bungalows or double story apartment types and the cleaners made us laugh every day with the array of towel folding they managed. The snorkelling is magnificent and the trip to Valley of the Kings also worth the 3/4 hours journey each way. Thank you to all the management and staff for making our holiday a great time.

OK...this isn't a 4 star hotel for sure based on the room we got BUT you will go a long way to find friendlier and better trained staff and such continuous and thorough cleaning.Arriving in the dead of night can impact on your first impressions but things looked a lot better in the morning sun. It is DIRECTLY on the beach with ample sunloungers and apart from the fact that the management really need to do something about late night sunbed reservations by our German cousins, availability was good but this was not high season. Food was excellent and yes, all inclusive creates some repetion and recycling, the meats and vegetarian choices were varied and tasty. Maybe investing in some larger glasses for drinks might save on washing up and water consumption which cannot be cheap (management take note) . The pool area is excellent. There is a spa area and NOTHING was too much trouble for the front desk. Courteous and excellent. Would we go back? Definitely

This is the worst ever hotel I think I have stayed at. Agree with comments that On the Beach have completely lied about this hotel. It is a 2 star at the most. It is dirty, dated and the staff are mostly rude.

The location of the hotel means it is in the middle of no where so there is no way to just pop to a cafe or restaurant to eat when you cannot face the food in the hotel anymore. The shop in the hotel has snacks and cold drinks (no where else has cold drinks and ice limited) but watch how much the guy puts on the card Machine as he always adds a few pounds. The food isn’t the worst but they treat chips like god dust and you have to ask specifically for them. You may get the one out of the four times you ask if you are lucky so if you know you want these don’t stay here. The ice cream they give at 4 always runs out and has nuts so again if you have allergy avoid.

The rooms were dated and not cleaned. Towels and beds made every day but no cleaning. Air condition constantly leaked or broke. My children had bugs on their beds in their room and it was like fighting a losing battle to get them to clean the beds. The majority of staff were just rude. Especially those on the reception desk!

The only good thing was the beach.
It was so beautiful and the turtle seems to appear most evenings. What was ridiculous was the access to the sea closing at 6pm every evening.

The entertainment was absolutely terrible. I am not really sure what they thought they were doing but it def wasn’t pleasing the audience.

Tito on the entertainment was a lovely guy though. He stood out and really looked after people.

All in all I am puzzled by the positive reviews of this place. Do not stay here if you want a cold drink, good entertainment, decent food, things to do in local area or polite service.

I am staying at the hotel from August 25-31, 2023.
Pros: excellent food, very fast and pleasant restaurant employees, especially the main manager, who seems to put his whole soul into his work;
basically adequate pleasant staff;
amazing beach, wonderful entry into the water (though you can’t really swim, the depth to the buoys is no more than 1.5 meters, and immediately after the buoys it’s 30 meters deep), the pool is clean, but without the smell of bleach, there are plenty of sunbeds, they were also nice, wooden, massive;
very good room cleaning, normal towels, bed linen;
always hot water;
I noticed sooooo many locals in the hotel, they obviously come here because of the good service, among other things.

Cons: I initially took the Garden View room, and it turned out to be a room in a large building. It is located separately from the reception, in the farthest corner of the territory; going there, especially in the dark, is uncomfortable and far, through an abandoned tennis court; Few people were accommodated in this building (for some it would be a plus - silence), but I, as a lonely girl, really did not like this building, perhaps a personal perception. On windy days the room was very noisy, the wind whistled, the corridor at the exit of the room is open, overlooking the desert, you can imagine the force of the wind. The air conditioner in the room is very noisy. The wind + the air conditioner + the rattling sound of the refrigerator forced me to sleep with headphones (no music), so it was a shame I didn’t take earplugs. Another unpleasant thing: the shower in the room was broken, but it was fixed quickly. The room itself is VERY old. The furniture evokes associations with the film of the 80s, the tiles and mirror are damaged. The only good things were the obviously comfortable mattress, the large area of the room, and the cleanliness. There is no balcony.
On the third day I moved to a bungalow (Sia View, with additional payment). The room itself is fresher, the condo is quieter, and the walk to the bungalow is much closer and more comfortable. The room's area is half the size, but there is an opportunity to sit on chairs in front of the entrance, with beer or coffee and a view of the sunset/sunrise.

What else:
the bar works great, the beer is delicious, coffee too, tea is always available, there is enough food for everyone. A very well-groomed area in terms of plants, neat lawns, bushes, everything is nice. But the buildings on the territory are like something out of a horror movie, half-abandoned. I tried a massage at the hotel, I really liked it, but you have to bargain from as much as 50 dollars per session🤪

The feelings are contradictory. If you go beyond the sea and the beach, this is an ideal option. If you want at least a little Instagram beauty from the world around you and a little more than minimal comfort, you will be disappointed.

Positives……

Beach is excellent, plenty of sun beds and parasols, but get there early as the best ones get snapped up and even reserved with towels from sunrise.
The beach towel team are very good, especially Mohhamood.

We thought the food was good, plenty of variety

WiFi was not too bad in our room, obviously got better the closer to reception you were.

Large bottle of water left by the cleaners free every day

Cleaners were very good

Fridge in room

TV with some English new channels (BBC & CNN)

Couple of movie channels with English audio and Arabic subtitles which were quite good.

Negatives……

Rooms were poorly furnished, old, tired and small, needs a refurb

Pool area run down and in need of a facelift, barely anyone used it whilst we were there

Quality of all inclusive drinks very poor, and extremely small glasses used for beer (take your own, they will fill it)

Animation/entertainment……practically non existent and not very good quality, I’ve worked in the entertainment arena and the animation team made the classic mistake of playing music to suit their young taste and not the mainly over 50-60 year old clientele.

Paradeiso bar where you can pay 3 euros for cocktails, which were good to be fair, was staffed by one young man who when asked to put on European champions league football on the large screen, said he would, then ignored it, went and played pool leaving the bar unattended and left Egyptian football on the screen whilst staff sat and watched it, are they catering for their guests or themselves?

If we go to Hurghada area again, we wouldn’t go back here, will spend a little bit more money and go elsewhere with more stars/rating, this is only good for cheap & cheerful

So the first thing I feel obliged to point out is that this hotel is more catered for European holiday makers, not English (Food/Entertainment). We were one of 2 brit families staying there that week.
The food was really poor, I'm by no means a fussy eater but I struggled to find anything to eat at any meal time. There is a pizzeria on the beach however for £5-10 per pizza (independent from hotel but accessible), so my kids had dinner there every evening.
The room was ok, a little run down and in need of repair. Our air conditioning unit broke and flooded the floor but to be fair they sent someone to repair it immediately, you couldn't do without it for one hour there it's so hot! The other disappointment was we had paid extra for a triple seaview room which didn't actually exist so we settled for a garden view triple (this is more On The Beach's fault for selling that option, not the hotel's).
Location - this is about half an hour outside Hurghada's town, in a place called Sofaga, it's around 45 minutes from the airport. If planning on doing trips, bear this in mind as it could add on costs/time to your outings. Fuel is cheap there so it's not too expensive to get taxi's.
The staff aren't the most welcoming, some were rude and dismissive and not particularly helpful. However one of the manager's working on reception and a member of the bar staff stood out as being really friendly, helpful and accommodating
The Good - if you enjoy snorkelling, just heading out from the beach provided us with some unforgettable moments, namely seeing a huge stingray and a beautiful turtle. The sea is nice and clear with easy access to loungers on beach, there is also a nice swimming pool to cool off in, with a swim up bar with very friendly, helpful staff. Again, it's easy to obtain loungers.

Overall, I had a nice time there but in hindsight would not have chosen this hotel.

It is one of the best hotels in Hurghada, from the cleanliness of the rooms, the food has a beautiful taste, respect, taste, and the service is beyond excellent, and everything you need every night is available in Paradise Abu Souma. Also, the animation shows were very good. The children were very happy.

A wonderful hotel, I would say a paradise for introverts! We were accommodated in a bungalow overlooking the sea. The room is clean, the bed linen is fresh, the room is cleaned to a high standard and done daily. Towels were also changed. Water is provided daily in the amount of 1.5 liters. The beach is sandy, the hotel is located in a small bay and that protects from the wind. The hotel staff is friendly, welcoming and not intrusive. The restaurant is always clean, the food is varied and deliciously prepared. Near two hotels there is a small reef where you can see a lot of fish. Since we don’t drink alcohol, I can’t say anything about its quality, but the coffee is delicious. The juice and carbonated drinks are not diluted. The bar staff is always smiling and handing out drinks in a friendly manner. If you like a relaxing holiday, then you will definitely like it here.

Just got back today from this place, we paid for a room with a garden view! We got a room 5 minutes walk away from the reception, which was facing a tennis court which was full of crap and obviously no garden view! The shower was absolutely disgusting, had to shower with flip flops on it was that horrible. As for drinks they have plenty spirits and aren't shy with the amounts you get but they taste like paint stripper! It's advertised that they have a heated pool, gym and pool bar which none of them was open. The food was mostly always the same, the chef for omelettes in the morning was always very polite and made a cracking omelette for us everyday. Most staff are friendly but seemed to have been more for the Russian and German people that was there, which may I add are very very rude! The amination team put shows on each night but it was always the same old boring things, asking for money for a tombola they was meant to do which never happened and they don't give you change back. If you'd like not to get mithered I would sit around the pool! It advertises in reception that they do karaoke which didn't happen the 10 nights we was there. The mattresses are so uncomfortable and absolutely rock hard, would've been comfier sleeping on the floor! One guy in the shop situated in the reception tried charging us 500 egyptian pounds for a fly spray, we got it up on Google and it was 157! Only thing we enjoyed about the holiday was the sun! I definitely will not be returning to this hotel ever again.
