Long Beach Resort comes highly recommended for its exceptional service, with many guests applauding the staff's remarkable friendliness and professionalism. While opinions on value are mixed, with some concerns about additional costs, the resort is widely praised for its cleanliness and extensive amenities, including various pools and a pristine beach. However, some visitors note that noise can be an issue due to outdated AC units and construction nearby. Room experiences vary, with disparities in maintenance and modernity. The location is celebrated for its scenic beach access, despite being somewhat remote.

We stayed at Long Beach for our 3rd time. We arrived late due to our flight being delayed and was shown to the restaurant for late dinner at 11pm, there was limited choice, but we were able to have a meal before being taken to our room. This time we stayed in a superior family room (2 bedrooms, 2bathrooms) in the family building. Our room was a little dated but had everything we needed, comfy beds, hot water, cold water in the fridge and working aircon.
As we had stayed previously we knew we preferred to have our meals in the cascade area so we had breakfast and dinner here and ate in the D’white restaurant at lunch.
Only premium guests can use the Cascade area during the day unless you pay a charge to eat in those restaurants.
One of the reasons we preferred the cascade restaurant was because of the restaurant manager Hossam, he remembered us from our previous visit. He was so good with our children, they loved him. But also because I have a severe nut allergy, he arranged for the head chef at every meal time to walk around with me and advise what was safe for me to eat. For dessert the chef would prepare a desert for me and have it bought to the table. Many of their desserts have nut ingredients and because of guests using the same tongs there was a risk of cross contamination. Surprisingly I had so many main dishes to choose from and I never went hungry. My kids are fussy eaters and even they had a good meal at all mealtimes. Breakfast was everyone’s favourite with the pancakes and waffles. Our 2 waiters were very attentive and the kids loved the surprise kiddie cocktails which were bought to them.
The beach is beautiful and there are always plenty of sun beds, this time we spent most of our days at the family pool, purely because it was located close to our room. On previous stays we have used other pools and they are all just as nice. The pool guy saved our beds each day for a small tip and the waiter bought our drinks to us again for a small tip, we don’t mind tipping as they all work so hard. We didn’t eat from snack bars on this holiday as we preferred to have an hour away from the sun.
The evening entertainment was in the cascade area majority was really good and we loved the fire show on the beach. The animation team work so hard.
The resort is very large, so we took advantage of the regular buses that drove to all the areas of the resort we wanted to go to.
All in all it was great holiday and we will be returning. Thank you for the memories

We are currently on holiday at this beautiful resort with 4 days left of our 14 day winter sun vacation. We booked via EasyJet holidays and used the Orange sale saving to upgrade our room to a Premium in block 42 room 907 and it is bloody lovely, it’s right by a new pool and bar area & I 1 minute away from the Cascade area. The pool area was kept immaculately clean by Lifeguard Mohammad who worked tirelessly looking after guests and his pool, drinks were provided by another Mohammad who was cheerful, chatty and constantly patrolling the guests to ensure they had the drinks of their choice (gin and tonics in our case and very nice they were).
We ate in the Breeze restaurant every morning having cereal, fried eggs or omelettes and Mohammad ensured we were topped up with hot drinks and we also ate at the buffet here in the evenings we weren’t at the alacarte restaurants and again Mohammad kept us topped up with yummy red wine.
The hotel grounds are on 5 levels and have mini busses running constantly to take you wherever you are going. The beach is long and hard flat sand with 2 shallow lagoons, many sunbeds bars and restaurants. The main pool area is huge and again lots of bars beds and restaurants. In total there are over 7 pools with the main pool and family pool being heated (we stayed at our little pool as the main 2 pools and the beach were very busy) and although not heated was warm enough to cool down in.
We used all the alacarte restaurants and enjoyed them all with the Italian being our favourite. Being premium guests we had unlimited use of the Mexican and Indian at lunchtime at the Cascade and both were excellent.
We spent our evenings watching the entertainment at the Cascade area while playing cards and chilling with a G&T.
The weather was mid 20’s all holiday and very day we sunbathed from 9 am till 4.30pm.
Round our pool was a mix of British guests and a few other nationalities and very chilled.
We are enjoying the holiday so much we have booked to comeback in January 2025.
All in all we are having a fantastic holiday at a beautiful resort with very attentive staff in the glorious Egyptian sun.

My partner and I went to Hurghada for 5 nights to celebrate his holiday. We arrive to Long Beach Resort in the night and the drive up to the hotel was amazing as they have stunning lights and throughout the trees and beautiful decoration throughout the resort.

We checked in at the front desk and the staff were very professional and friendly and made us feel special and looked after. I requested for the room to be decorated and for wine to be in the room for when we arrive. The decoration superseded my expectations and there was cake! Thank you to the amazing housekeeping staff, special shoutout to A.Rahim Mohamed.

We were told that we are VIPs because we booked with booking.com and this gave us the privilege of eating at the A la Carte restaurants without a reservations so we ate at the many restaurants in the resort every night. Our absolute favourite was Podium and the Chinese restaurant and the La Casina, Italian Restaurant. The chocolate brownie in Podium was delicious and we had to come back every day for it. The food at the restaurants are included in the A la carte but there may be restrictions on how many time you can go if you booked with a travel agency and you will need to book in advance. I wish I remembered the names of everyone that served us in these restaurants but the service at all 3 of them was fantastic and all the staff went above and beyond for us. Without them, I don't think our experience of Hurghada would have been as good. The gentleman at Podium who brings people to their table always accommodated us even when we arrived quite late when the kitchen was closing. The waiter Diyaa Mohammed was a great with great service.

There are so many amenities and things to do in the holiday that you don't need to leave or worry about anything. We played volleyball with other guests, we made friends and played a doubles tennis match which was fun. It's about 5 euros for 1 hour tennis equipment rental. There is a giant outside chess game that you can play too. My partner also used the outdoor gym. It doesn't have everything but it was useful to many people.

At night there is always a show on at Cascade, which is a bar and pool area at the other side of the resort. There was a Brazilian dance night when we went and it was absolutely amazing. There was a shish lounge that we went to everyday that is on the beach. The staff there are extremely nice and friendly and accommodating. He gave us a great deal and recommended really good flavours and we had tea and dates with it. The shish lounge is stunningly decorated. They stayed open longer for us as they could see we were having a good time and didn't pressure us to leave when we said we don't want to keep them up.

There are so many pools and areas and things to do I would honestly come back again to this exact hotel.

One thing to prepare for are people trying to sell many excursions and experiences to you. Some sellers have good deals and I would recommend going scuba diving with the company on the resort premises.

Before we left I requested a higher level don’t like ground floor. On arrival was very late so ask if we were on a higher floor was told it would cost an extra $20 a day to get a higher room and they had upgraded us to the Hotel part. Our friends booked it but was way to big for us too far to be bothered to go see the entertainment as you needed to take the bus we walked it the first time but was too far. Had to go just outside main hotel to get entertainment over there. She was good but very repetitious didn’t alternate with somebody different live music was always a bus away. Only one toilet on the beach which was rubbish if you were on the pier and needed one it was a 15 min walk away. But they were always keep immaculate always pretty flower petals on the tops and it smelt clean too. Guy was very friendly too. Food was so so always much the same every night. Would have liked rice pudding as a pudding after my evening meal but was only brought out at breakfast as was jelly and something like semolina WHY for breakfast. Staff were great on the beach as was the animation team always friendly. Abanob Atef kept us in coffee, soft drinks, iced coffees always with a smile didn’t have to move an inch just sat chilling 😎 Went into restaurant on the beach Pizza, fish and fries were great. Hamdy was great looking after us in there always with a smile on his face.
Would return but only because my husband loved the snorkelling. Was also 45 minutes from the Airport would have liked a Hotel nearer.

Excellent! Look no further you have found the best value for money!
Last year we stayed at Minamark (hurghada) and Regency hotel plaza (sharm el Sheik) but this is where we spent the best holiday in terms of quality/price. (2100€, departure from Basel, 2 adults and 2 children for 14 nights)
We do not understand why it is not a 5* because it is very qualitative.
This is the first time we have such a large and practical bathroom, with a shower that works very well. The room is beautiful and spacious.
The hotel is very clean. Very responsive staff! This is really exceptional! (We had a door opening problem, as soon as we talked about it at reception the problem was fixed immediately!)
This is the best food we have ever had in Egypt, there is always everything and galore. (At least the one that is most to our liking, with many fried things: falafels, nems, samoussas... A very nice choice of typical fruits and desserts! A treat). Very responsive and professional service staff.
Snacks everywhere with choices (fish & chips, pizza and salad). We're not starving!
The beach is very long, the hotel bears his name very well. The sand is well packed so accessible by stroller to the sea. (Perfect for us).
Children's games on the beach are out of the sun.
Beautiful morning zumba activity on the beach (it's rarely as good) it was even more awesome when Jo or Lola animated it (in this case it was really sporty I loved it).
Heated swimming pool (in February at least, it is really very appreciable).
Free Wi-Fi.
Just remember to take an eye mask if you want to sleep in the morning, because the curtains are not blackout.
Closure of the pools at 5pm (it's a shame but in all the hotels we did in Egypt it was so).

We hope we can come back!

Attention of the hotel (point of improvement):
- Huge waste of food (usually Russian customers) in France in unlimited buffets people are charged when wasted.
-an endless queue of omelets. The staff has several stoves but does not use them all! Sometimes I waited for it to be my turn and for the cook without a ''hello'' to tell me to wait, he prepared 3 cheese omelets for anyone. One lady came out of nowhere to get one, the others he was trying to reload to everyone present or arriving in the queue. Big bullshit.
- Closure of the towel center of the aquapark at the same time as the slides, the lifeguard in yellow leaves you with your wet towels for the evening, or invites you to go to the other pools to be able to exchange them... Practical...

The hotel is tired and even rooms after renovation already have a number of drawbacks. I'll start with the fact that at the beginning they gave a creepy old room in the family building: furniture is creepy, there is no balcony, damp and perfume. The staff did not respond to normal requests to change the number, but after the conflict with the Polish family they were changed the same day. The new room turned out to be a little better, in a more comfortable location, but still not ideal: the lock on the bathroom door worked in its mode and there was always the possibility of not leaving it)) Now for food: the choice is not great, but we did not leave hungry, there was always something to eat. Get your own drinks, waiters rarely bring them. The shows are a separate story: they were interesting overall, but a very difficult task to watch. The locations where they are held are not at all equipped for this; to see anything people occupy seats 1.5 hours before the start. Animators try very hard and entertain guests in every way throughout the day and plus on the show too.
Well, personally, my cherry on the cake: at the hotel reception, I had some symbol drawn in my passport, on the first page) so check your passport after check-in 😉

This is a lovely resort, situated about half an hour's drive outside of the town of Hurghada. Therefore, if you're happy to stay within the resort, you'll get lots of peace and quiet. But, if, like us, you prefer to get out and see what the area has to offer, you will need a taxi. The local taxis are not expensive, and you can barter with them, but be careful because they will try to persuade you to go to their relatives shops as part of the journey!
Long Beach is absolutely huge, with a mixture of traditional hotel accommodation in the old part, and approx 100 'villas' set amongst the manicured grounds, and a private beach over 1km long.
Pools everywhere, although in January they were very cold. Hundreds of sun beds as well. The beach also has huge sunbeds capacity with windbreaks and umbrellas at no extra charge. There's also 4 beach bars serving drinks and snacks.
The staff are excellent. So friendly and helpful. The whole resort is extremely clean which, when you consider it's size, is testament to their hard work.
Food is plentiful, and there are a limited number of speciality restaurants you can choose. I would describe the food quality as good, but not all necessarily to our taste. The resort offers a variety of local alcoholic drinks, but (as per most international all-inclusive resorts) the quality of these are inferior to what we'd be used to at home.
You can use just about any currency in Egypt. We found that using the local currency works best and by far the cheapest way to spend. If you pay by pounds or Euros, the amounts will always be 'rounded up'. Also, remember that 'cash is king' in Egypt and tipping is expected. Therefore, make sure you have plenty of small denomination notes (20 Egyptian pounds equals about 65 pence) to use as tips and you will save a fortune. Easiest way is just to take Stirling with you and change it as you need to, at the resort. You can do it easily using the ATM's on site.
All good so far, and those are the pro's. The downside, I'm afraid, is the entertainment. Remember this is not a place where you can walk out of to visit alternative bars and restaurants if you feel like a change, so the evening entertainment becomes very important. The choices are the Aqua Lounge, which to be honest has a bland atmosphere and poor acoustics. I'd go as far to say it's a bit depressing. Alternatively there is the wonderful Cascades complex, set out almost like an amphitheatre. However we were treated to 'dance parties' for the whole 10 nights we were there, not all good dance parties either. No variety whatsoever, and it's something that the management needs to address urgently because, despite all the superb attributes that Long Beach offers, this alone would prevent us from returning. Hope you find this honest review helpful.

10/10 for housekeeping - We stayed in room 1112 Housekeeping very good specifically Essam leaving amazing art made from towels each day. Very polite and friendly making sure we are happy with the cleanliness etc. Spot on cleaning every day, can’t say anything bad.

Animation team- not the best - felt excluded on a daily basis they would speak to everyone around us asking to join for the odd activity but not ourselves maybe as I’m pregnant? Not sure the reasons. There wasn’t enough to do throughout the day, just volleyball in the late afternoon but nothing else that we were aware of. The animation team just walk around and pick and choose chatting to people for ages not much else going on, the big focus is on the evening shows in the cascade which are decent.

If you choose a hotel based on food quality then think twice because I am the least picky eater ever and honestly this is the first time I have been to an all inclusive and can genuinely say the food was average if not poor. The drinks were even worse - “cocktails” that was basically syrupy alcohol served in tiny cups and tasted very artificial - similar to cheap canned supermarket cocktails. The only good thing was beer but also served in 200ml cups.

The restaurants took a lot of getting used to with all the different opening times, rules, a la carte bookings etc etc. Way too much that wasn’t explained properly.

Overall the staff are really lovely and friendly throughout the hotel, however with the amount of positive reviews I was expecting better in terms of quality!

First time in Egypt and it didn’t disappoint
We arrived in darkness so we’re delighted to waken up the next day with views of the beach and the Red Sea.
Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.. could do with updating but nothing drastically wrong.
Beds were comfortable and when we asked for extra blankets and pillows they arrived within 30mins of being requested.
Our cleaner was fantastic and looked after our room from start to finish everything was always sitting perfectly on a daily basis.
Gardens and pool areas were beautiful and really well maintained… my only gripe is that the pools were freezing .. way too cold to swim.. plus no walk in option for pool for anyone with mobility issues .. only ladders.
Plenty of sun beds.. however we loved the beach, waiter service was fantastic and the lifeguards always made sure you had a matress and a windbreaker if u needed it.. loads of shops along the beach if you run out of essentials.
Snack bars were great, main buffet was not my favourite place.. it was a cattle market.. kids running everywhere touching everything.. when we realised there was an adults only restaurant we used it mostly. We did find the food was more geared towards German/Russian/European tastes.
We opted to dine in 2 of the restaurants (zetas and La Cassini) give them a go .. you won’t be disappointed.
The hotel offers an in house taxi service .. and for 30 dollars they take you down to the Marina.. then they pick you up again .. this was a great service.
We needed a late check out and I was delighted to only be charged 30 dollars, safety deposit boxes are free and when we managed to lose 2 hotel towels on the beach.. the charge was only 10 dollars.
Overall the staff were fantastic… however you do tend to get tortured on a daily basis at the pool and beach by Beauty/Massage/tattooists selling their services.. this did get tedious .. and you just need to be firm with them.
We did however book a snorkelling boat trip and a glass bottom boat trip… we absolutely loved these.. and it included a trip to Magawish island which was great.
Overall I really enjoyed this holiday and I really look forward to returning to Egypt again at a later date

Absolutely loved the long beach resort. One of our favourite holidays.

Overall, we found the resort fantastic, with great amenities, great food, brilliant location and above all, amazing staff.

The resort itself is massive with lots of different pools and bars dotted all around the site.
We found that this allowed us to get as involved as we wanted, when we wanted, which was perfect for the type of holiday we were after.
Some of the areas, such as the Cascade area were Absolutely beautiful, Jacuzzis in the heated pool and lovely restaurants overlooking it.
We had a couple of Indian meals there and they were amazing. They also do pizzas there every afternoon, which were also delicious.
All of the staff there are so friendly and helpful and really helped make our dining experiences top class.

There are also pools which are more suited to families around the place as well as access to a huge beach front, dotted with bars, gyms, shops and amenities.

Our room was situated in a block of 4, towards the top of the resort.
The room has everything required for your stay, fridge, safe, iron, hairdryer and clothes line in the bathroom and plenty of storage.

The room itself was lovely and looked like its been recently refurbished, as had a lot of the blocks by us.
They were kept spotless by the cleaners who did a fantastic job.
Adel Farouk, our cleaner during our first week also deserves special mention due to something he helped my wife with.
After she mistakenly put a hot Iron through her dress, it was put in the bin. When Adel saw this, he asked if he could take it. We presumed for his wife but were amazed when he turned up about 6 hours later, with the dress repaired and freshly laundered and you couldn't even see how he'd done it. An invisible repair which meant such a lot to us that he'd took the time to do that for us. A lovely kind man.

The situation of our room was perfect as we had a small pool terrace just outside our block which was fantastic as it wasn't overcrowded at any time and there was also another slightly busier pool with a bar and snacks literally 50meters away which we used when we needed anything. Perfect spot.
I have to mention the pool attendants, especially Mostafa kahlawy, who treated us like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he never stopped. Great lad, always happy with a Fantastic work ethic. Every morning, he made sure we were all sorted with our beds and towels, while making sure our areas were always absolutely spotless. He really helped make this an amazing holiday with all his help. Many thanks to him.

We can truly say that the staff we've interacted with have all been wonderful and are an absolute credit to the hotel.
Too many to name but thanks to Abdullah Nasser at our little pool, Abouel Nasr, our other cleaner and Mina, Essam and Rady from Cascade.

Brilliant holiday, Thanks.
