Excellent hotel. Plenty of great pools to suit everyone. Rooms spacious and clean, we had an issue with the room door key which we reported to reception and by the time we had walked back to our room there was someone there sorting it out. Large beach which is unfortunately very stony and not good for paddling. The best part is the staff, especially those in the four corners restaurant and aquarius pool bar, who go above and beyond to make your stay a good one.

Just back from a 2 week stay at the jaz aquamarine (10th june-24th June) and although i loved my holiday i wouldn't say the hotel itself is my favourite. The review is a lengthy one so bare with me! The good points- - Entertainment staff are brilliant! huge shout out to Eslam and Zezo. everyone was always full of energy and wanting to get you involved without being pushy. - The waiter we had by the pool for the majority of our stay before he got a very deserved holiday from work- Kerlos. we could not fault him, interactive with my daughter ( she still talks about him) he worked so hard and nothing was ever too much trouble. - The hotel itself is huge so there was never any trouble finding a sun bed, even if you couldn't spot one right away, the staff and life guards were on hand to find one for you. - the guest relation staff were very nice and sorted a few complaints we had out right away and could not fault this. - The indian à la carte as well as burger bay were absolutely delicious. Another shoutout to Mina in burger bay his service was impeccable. The drinks at burger bay also topped everything. - The rooms are very spacious, we stayed in 5033- our request for lower ground floor was kindly accommodated as my mum and grandmother both have mobility issues and could not manage the stairs to the higher floors. - The housekeeper we had- Mohammed was brilliant, the room was spotless everyday and we enjoyed the towel arrangements he left daily. - The doctor and the staff working with him on site were amazing. my grandmother unfortunately contracted an infection in her foot due to mosquito bites and had to go back to visit 4 days in a row. He made her feel at ease, explained everything thoroughly and helped out with any insurance questions she had. - they're not connected to the hotel but just outside the main gate at aquamarine to the right was a collective of shops and the owner ( i forgot his name) was brilliant! so welcoming and the prices were amazing. The bad bits - the check in process itself is a shambles. you leave your luggage outside to be taken into the fayrouz bar close to reception and are handed paperwork to fill out which required everyones passport details etc, you then get sent to have some leftovers from dinner at the restaurant, come back and are handed an envelope with luggage tags on them which meant you had to go back outside, put the tags on and come back in. after this we were sent off in groups depending on the location of our rooms, no one knew which way was up as they kept asking everyones rooms which in itself is a bit of a security issue. we then got taken to our rooms and had to wait a bit for luggage. - I was quite confused over the location of the room. On the TUI website there are 2 different hotels- the bluemarine and the aquamarine, both with 2 completely different prices. we paid more for the aquamarine but were then placed on the bluemarine side and you can use both sides... so why the price difference? - The food. i completely understand that a lot of people need to be catered for but the repetition did me in. all of us ended up with some sort of stomach issue- whether this was from the food or not i don't know. I am now aware of the lawsuit from a bacteria infection situation back in 2018/19. we ended up finding that the four corners main restaurant was far better than the topaz main. The italian à la carte was my least favourite, the pizza was swimming in oil and the cheese was vile, the service was good but the food was just not it. - Once Kerlos our waiter from the pool area went on his holiday the person who replaced him was very much tip driven. he served us once but we did not have cash on us at the time so could not tip and after that we just got ignored- you can tell who had tipped him by the big smiles they got and the quick service. i understand that tipping is the culture here but to not serve people just because one time they did not have cash is just disgusting. - Although the entertainment team were great, i do feel that the programme itself could have been better. we were there for 2 weeks and it was the same entertainment for the 2nd week as the first so we didn't really go to the entertainment for the 2nd week as we had seen it all. - The hotel photographers... every other night they seemed to think it was okay to bring people right outside of our rooms on the grass to take their pictures! how is this ok? you would be getting ready for dinner or relaxing on your terrace and you'd have a whole family and the photographer walk over. its weird and invasion of privacy. - Whatever you do, be careful who you get a taxi with. other members of my family were ensured the taxis booked through the hotel were the best so they were due to pay £20 return trip to senzo mall. the cab driver never returned to pick them up and they had to walk 40 mins back to the hotel. they complained straight away and were told by the manager that the cab driver did turn up even though they got to the meeting point 15 mins early to ensure they were there for him. ( A lady from guest relations did sort this for them a few days later as she approached us by the pool to ask how our holiday was going) As mentioned earlier my mother and grandmother both have mobility issues so they were in agony by the time they got back. Also on the way back they were verbally abused by shop keepers just passed the hotel shops- i don't suppose trip advisor will let me post what they were called but it was racial and misogynistic to say the least. - The reception staff lack customer service skills in general. I found majority of them to be quite dismissive and rude. they refused to change up big egyptian notes even though its what their own atm machine was giving out. I questioned a charge on my room bill at the end and the man who served me was very rude and dismissive but luckily i am not one to be pushed over. - Mosquitos... not the bugs themselves because it can't be helped too much but i think its really wrong that its not made apparent that you can infact get a mosquito repellent plug in for FREE from reception. we unfortunately went to the shop onsite and paid £10 for one. not that it did much but it would have been nice to know that we did not need to buy one. - The waterslide staff don't seem to be on the same page regarding the rules on the slides it was very weird. - Do be careful in the shower as it is very slippy. a slip mat was provided but this didn't do much good. Things i would/n't recommend- - definitely go to the colour and foam party on the beach which was held on the wednesday. it was epic. TIP: if you have blonde hair, either wear a shower cap or skip the colour throw as my hair was dyed from the pigments for a few days :/ - The reps on the beach of a night love a dance so get up and get involved! - avoid taxi's where you can - Book the eden island trip with the guys on the beach " Egypt international" it was beautiful and the guys on the boat were great! try to book a day where high winds are not forecast though. All in all i did love my holiday as Egypt holds a special place in my heart but i believe with slightly better management it could be amazing.

3 days into our weeks’ holiday my husband came down with severe stomach cramps and had chronic diarrhoea for 4 days and barely left the room. In addition myself snd daughter became I’ll with same problem luckily only lasting a few days. Hotel and tui rep were not interested and dismissed it as a change in climate and food. 4 of the other couples we met with families were all struck down by same illness, so it seems to be rife in the resort. One of the pools next to the children s pool was totally closed down for the day which was one we had been using. Then we moved to another pool to find the pool level low and they were filling it up, later in the morning the hygiene inspector was there taking samples, so obviously there must be a problem. Food was very mediocre and generally cold. Entertainment was however very good Unfortunately holiday was ruined so would not return

We travelled as 2 adults and 1 toddler. The hotel itself is nice and the staff and entertainment is very good, however the hotel is massively let down by its food. There might be a vast choice, however the quality is extremely poor, especially for children where on several occasions the same food was served for lunch and dinner. I would avoid the omelette bars at all costs as I was served a raw one on three consecutive mornings so I gave up. The buffet is a free for all with food re used from lunch time to dinner and is luke warm at best. They say there is a vast variety but you will soon find out after 2/3 days this is not the case. The Italian a la carte resteraunt (Nino’s) is probanly one of the worse meals Ive ever had. The food was cold and indedible. The Burger Bar and the Asian resteraunt were very good though. After 2 days my Wife fell seriously ill with vomiting and diarrhea which lasted for the rest of our holiday (12 days) and we are both still suffering with symptoms now we are back. The hotel tried to tell us its the weather/ice/water they use for the grass 😂. Every single group we spoke to had someone in their party with these symptoms. It shows how big the problem is when the hotel are happy to provid supposed free stool samples on request. We will not be coming back to this hotel purely on the food front and the fact we are still suffering well over 2 weeks after the first symptoms.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing Jaz Aquamarine to spend your holiday. My team and I would also like to thank you for your critical and valued feedback. We are extremely committed to delivering the perfect holiday experience for each and every guest and are disappointed that on this occasion we failed to achieve this for you. However we would like to thank you for your positive comments about our resort. With regards to the food variety, there is a large variety offered on a daily basis and of course if you will eat a small piece from everything provided on the buffet, this will make you feel poorly when mixing chicken, beef, fish, pasta, rice dishes, desserts together. There is certain foods when mixing together that will make anyone feel poorly, however not based on the food being prepared in a wrong way but eating the wrong foods together for example fish and milk. When choosing the same food every day with a large variety of food provided, it is easy to state that the food is the same if you decide to take French fries on a daily basis which is provided daily as this is a side dish such as pasta and rice. With regards to the food temperature in the buffet, we do have a hygiene team checking the food temperature and these are always in the correct and safe temperature for both hot and cold section. Furthermore the food on the buffet is in bain-maries with boiling water in its system keeping the food hot at all times and always above 78 degrees. Yet again when choosing your hot food items first and then venturing around for another 10 minutes to choose salads and cold appetizers, surely the hot food on the plate will cool down in the air conditioned restaurant, we can however assure you that the food on the buffet is held in appropriate hot temperatures. Further noting you arrival time after 11 pm, falling ill on the second day with most sickness incubation period taking at least 48 to 72 hours, it is highly likely that if anything at all has been contracted the reason would have been prior to arrival. In regards to free stool analysis being offered, this has not just been offered in the recent periods but is part of a protocol since many years as we are so sure of our hygiene levels and as a reputable establishment running a huge food and beverage operation it is the absolute minimum to have a system in place for each scenario, which we do have and this should be a standard for all of establishments running a huge food operation. Yourself was offered to do a stool analysis and was given two pots to the room, we only received 1 back, which makes us question the actual sickness. Furthermore results have been fine and no bacteria or pathogen has been found, which proves the hotels high levels of hygiene in food preparation. We further would like to questions how you can possibly be so ill and at the same time speak to our 3000 guests in the hotel finding out that all of them are ill, sickness levels are an absolute minimum currently compared to our occupancy levels and are not alarming at all with it being less than 0,001 % with daily arrivals and departures in our hotel. Your alleged illness did not stop you from venturing out of our resort either and consuming food and drink outside of our resort, so how can you pin point anything to our hotel if onset timing of sickness is different, you leaving our resort on several occasions, yet you all eat together as a family, if something would be wrong with our food provided surely everyone would fall ill at the same time. Best Regards Mohamed Wafa Hurghada Area Manager

Very good hotel with everything you need for a wonderful time. We are family with 3 kids and all of us had a superb stay. Food was amazing, with a lot choices for both vegetarians and meat lovers. Special thanks to the chef and kitchen staff! Room service was very good, thank you Karim:) Waiters are very helpful and polite. But there is a big but! If you go for a sea, think about choosing this hotel or no. There is no sea at all! Very sad picture: people on sunbeds in front of an empty sea:) There is a small bay is on the left side, which somehow replenish the sea.

We stayed here as previously visited 8 years ago and remember it being great. We were visiting with friends for a 40th birthday, there were 4 adults and 2 kids. On arrival it appeared as we remembered and we had a nice room overlooking the gardens, we did change from first room as overlooked what appeared to be old boat yard and derelict building (not what I would call a garden view). Our room 1245 was looked after by Ahmed and he was fantastic always leaving plenty of water and cleaning well. The pools were all really good and we tried various areas during the 10 days with our favourite area being by the Lazy river area as you could get shade, sun, there was slides for the kids and toilets near by. Mahmood in the evening up at the Terrace bar as well as others up there were fantastic and remembered our drinks all the time and we had lots of good laughs. The biggest thing that lets this hotel down is the food, the Buffett restaurant is a free for all and they need to have more food areas as it’s just long queues everywhere. When you do get to food it is lukewarm and not great quality. We did have great meals in both the Indian and Burger Bar A’la Cartes and definitely recommend them. Unfortunately I would suggest avoiding the Italian, both because of the food and staff. We were here the evening of the 40th and they couldn’t have cared less, it was like we were an inconvenience. They got all drinks wrong, the food was not edible and we had to leave and go to Buffett. On top of this 3 people were very poorly the next day. Would suggest this had dropped to a 3 or 4 star compared to previous visit.

However we would like to thank you for your positive comments about our staff. With regards to your comments about the food, we are sorry that this was not to your taste but we are catering for a number of different nationalities each with their own tastes and expectations and the majority of our guests are more than happy with the food provided. However, if you are unable to find something to suit then our chefs are more than happy to prepare something especially for you. Nevertheless our chefs are constantly reviewing and updating our menus so perhaps on a return visit you may find it more to your own liking. We are very sorry to hear about your experience in the Italian restaurant, we will be investigating on what went wrong as we usually receive throughout positive feedback from our Italian restaurant. We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you back again in the future, so we may provide you with a perfect holiday experience. Best Regards Mohamed Wafa Hurghada Area Manager

This was mine and my wife’s first holiday since 2020 and we are so happy and glad that we spent it here at Jaz Aquamarine. The room was really nice and clean and we had a great pool and partial sea view (room 3232). The site itself was fantastic, plenty of pools and seats everywhere and again, very clean and tidy (the cut the grass everyday!) The food was good, enough of a variety that should please everyone. Please remember that they do have to cater for a lot of different nationalities. For us, the best part of the hotel was the sea. We live in a town with a beach, but the Red Sea is INCREDIBLE, the water is extremely clear and very very warm. We will definitely be coming again next year and this may be our yearly holiday spot. Would highly recommend!
