Here at the moment staying in Room 343. Please ignore the inverted English Snobs. I am British myself. A fantastic welcome on arrival , a buggy took us around the corner to our room (pool view). The room is spacious , Very very clean , very comfortable bed , and refreshing shower . Rooms are cleaned daily , and cleaned to a very high standard . The pools are very clean , well attended by Life Guards. Pool Bar and Snack Bar are great , staffed with very friendly staff, who go out of their way to help . The main restaurant can be carnage , but you will not go hungry . There are three A La Carte Restaurants . You can visit more than once . Use your head correctly , and there is the answer to the dinning room experience . Breakfast is not as busy , with plenty of choice. The Beach Bar is fabulous , lunch served around 12.30 to 14.30 and then a Pizza Restaurant, 15.00 until 17.00. You cannot change your money at reception , as there is an ATM , with no charge . Use in small amounts , and by all means tip for good service . Currently there are 38 Egyptian Pounds to the GBP . So 50 Egyptian Pounds as a tip , their eyes light up . There is a 24 hour clinic on site , Snooker Room , Gym , a very good Tatoo Artist. Across the Road there are numerous shops , mainly gift shops . You are not allowed to bring any food into the Hotel . If you have an Uber App , use it , as a Taxi journey to the Marina is £2.00 in GBP , also perfectly safe outside the Resort , as this is just not a Hotel, but a resort. Not our first visit to Egypt. We arrived early evening, checked in and was shown to our room. First impressions were that it was very dated but clean. We went to the restaurant to get some food........well!!! It was absolute, total carnage. So many people in such a small restaurant, for the size of the hotel, fighting to get food, which I will come to later!!! It wasn't a good first impression!!!! After a night's sleep, which to be fair, was pretty good. Comfy beds, quiet room, we tried the restaurant again for breakfast. Not quite so chaotic, but very busy!!! We soon began to realise that the food was going to be an issue. For the 2 weeks we stayed at this hotel it was truly shocking!! It is a hotel that is predominantly used by Egyptian guests so the food is not by any standards geared towards European tastes. A lot of the time we struggled to find anything to eat and we're not fussy eaters by any means. First time I've ever been on an all inclusive holiday and lost weight!!!!! Weather was excellent, on occasions too hot at 44°+. The beach area was reminiscent of a building site. Lots of rubble scattered around and definitely not picturesque. The tide goes out a long way so swimming isn't really an option. Beach restaurant which is open for lunch only, did slightly better food than the main restaurant. Pool area was in need of refurbishment. Lots of broken tiles and generally shabby. Some of the staff were very good but others were exceptionally rude. Mediocre at best! We were here last year and we loved it so we decided to come again this year The check in took for ever and the rooms were missing most amenities no tissues, shampoo, conditioner, ….etc and the water bottles were opened and half full when we checked in the rooms! That’s just disgusting We asked the housekeeper for tissues they said they don’t have any and will bring it the next day The next day the room is done and no tissues or anything at all added and we could see the cart with tissue boxes and toiletries in the corridor. Until we checked out only toilet papers and water were refilled nothing else! Bring your own shampoo and conditioner The food quality has decreased but still acceptable At the check out they refused to let our taxi in and we had to walk to the street outside and load our luggages ourself All in all I wouldn’t recommend the hotel anymore and I wouldn’t repeat that stay…

It was an amazing holiday, we spent 16 nights here and it was our first time in Hurghada. The hotel is not bad for the value, and it's close to the airport (15 mins). It's a great hotel for young children. They have nice bungalows at the beach if you prefer the privacy from the main hotel. The staff are brilliant, special thanks to Mr Mahmoud Zakariya (General Manager), Mr Sherief (Manager) who was always there for us, Mohamed Yahya (front desk), Tayna and Judith (guest relations), Mohamed Nabil, Amir, Essam, Noby, Hossam, Hussein, Mohamed Hossam, Mohamed (bar staff), all the chefs and kitchen staff - especially Adbul Shafy, Abdullah, Ahmed, Mohamed Kamal, Ayman, the food and beverage Manager, and the main chef Ahmed, Naser, Sania, Abdullah, Yusuf, Ahmed. All the house keeping staff, Ossama, Ahmed, and the rest of the team. All the club car drivers. Also thanks to Beshoy, the arcade man - the kids loved him, and he was very kind and patient with them. Thanks to all the entertainment team, Mr Ismail, Dasha, Ahmed, and the rest of the team. The shows were brilliant and they looked after the kids very well. The only area for improvement is the catering, as the quality and variety can be much better. We will definitely go back again next year, with hopes that there will be improvements made, as we saw refurbishments occurring during our time there. …

Have to say very disappointed certainly not a 5 or 4 star hotel , food was certainly not the best very hit and miss , think we lived on soup and rolls most days!!!! Alcohol drinks was vile and staff had no idea how to mix a cocktail. Room cleaners have to say we’re lovely Sharif who looked after our rooms was lovely and couldn’t do enough for you, have to say also reception staff not much help either in understanding you , internet was shocking considering we paid to have it over complex and never worked by the pool at all only at reception and in your room but even then it kept logging you out. Outside by the pool you constantly got harassed by staff selling you massages etc , make sure you get a red flag and tie it to your pole by sunbeds as they cant come near you with a red flag on show, We did deal with Richie on booking trips and he never hassled you at all so highly recommend him , always find him on the beach at the diving school. This was my first trip to Egypt and have to say I won’t be in a rush to come back , my friends who was us have been 3 times and they said this was the worst hotel they have stayed in and it’s a shame my first experience has been bad as they said previous hotels they stayed in was fantastic . Hotel needs a complete revamp and a serious overall on their food and drink menus, we got a taxi down to the marina the last 4-5 nights so we could have some decent food as we just couldn’t face the hotel food anymore and shouldn’t have to when you have paid all inclusive . Like I said extremely disappointed with this hotel and would not go here again or recommend it .…

Hotel is very tired and requires a lot of updating. If you don’t watch where you are walking very easy to trip on the pot holes broken tiles general uneven paths (we upgraded to a bungalow as the room was bad) Food was not to bad at all if I’m honest, you could always find something to eat unless you are really fussy. My main complaint was lunch it would change from either Beach or main restaurant and if you have gone to main to find it’s at the beach very frustrating The A la carte were limited menu but I found them pleasant as long as you go with the theory that this is Egyptian take on Asian and Italian cuisine. The drinks were not good beer was ok for the first couple but the spirits literally all tasted the same very poor. The beach to me was not good you cannot go in straight from the sand you have to go down the pier for a swim The staff on the whole were very pleasant like everywhere you get the odd few grumpy jobsworths my main complain would be reception staff absolutely shocking.…

Pharaoh Azur is a really nice hotel. All the people are very friendly and the food is really good too. The rooms are always clean and the hotel complex is pretty and with many green spaces. We would definitely come back!!!
