Pharaoh Azur Resort is often celebrated for its excellent location near the beach and local attractions, with many guests enjoying the beautiful setting. Cleanliness is a strong suit, as the resort is frequently commended for its immaculate rooms and well-kept facilities. While the rooms are generally found to be clean and spacious, some travelers feel they could benefit from modernization. Opinions on the value offered by the resort are split; some guests consider it a budget-friendly choice, whereas others point out unexpected costs. The service has garnered mixed reviews, with the staff's friendliness being noted, though inconsistency in service has been mentioned. The hotel's atmosphere and amenities are appreciated by many for providing a lively and welcoming experience, though the entertainment offerings have received some criticism.

We were in room 111, very clean and spacious. Bottled water delivered daily and rooms cleaned each day.

Room keys - can’t be by your phone as it stops the key card from working, we had to get the card reset about 6 times during our 12 night stay as it failed. The key card was in one side of bag, with quite a few items, including purse, separating from phone!

There’s only one outside pool with kids pool at end and reserving of beds is not allowed so no problem there. Lots of sun loungers by pool and on beach.

Found shuttle bus 8 days into our holiday, takes you from top of hotel (by our room) to beach and back again :)

Food - mainly catered for Egyptians, appreciate that the hotel are catering for several nationalities though.

Staff were all lovely and polite.

Late checkout - quite a bit of confusion as to when to arrange it, each staff member gave different info, eventually got it sorted 2 hours before due to checkout at 12noon. Paid $15 per person to keep room til 5pm. Our transfer was 7.30pm.

Hotel shops are more expensive than outside shops.

Hotel recommended taxi was Sam and although more expensive than an Uber, he organised guides for us when visiting the city centre to ensure we weren’t being overcharged by shop owners and all prices are for return too.

We stayed at this resort during low season. As a family we had an unprecedented stay.

The hotel is a bit dated, price-quality ratio was good. The service was top notch.

All the staff were very service oriented. We took advantage of an all-inclusive stay. Every day there is a changing buffet selection and a wide range of drinks.

The rooms were cleaned every day and provided with fresh towels and new bottles of mineral water.

There are two swimming pools, one of which is heated, which is appropriate given the time of year.

There is an entertainment team for the children, with varying activities taking place every day, such as face painting, mini disco, karaoke evening and various performances. Mrs. Dinara really deserves kudos, she was very enthusiastic for both young and old.

The staff at the lobby bar was also very service-oriented, especially the waiter Mr. Mohamed Sayed.

The only downside is that free WiFi is not available everywhere, but there is a charge per device. (This was already indicated when booking for a fee).

All in all we had an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very good, with a huge beautiful, green, well-groomed area.
Purely.
There is a large heated pool, but we didn't need it, we went to the beach.
Sun loungers on the beach are protected from the wind. Beach towels are of good quality, huge, for the entire sunbed.
Entering the sea from the pier.
Bed linen and towels are clean, without any holes or stains.
The furniture is old, but it’s even like a special surroundings.
The beds are wide, non-creaky, with cool, hard mattresses.
The room was cleaned every day and 2 1.5 liter bottles of water were brought every day.
Very tasty, varied food (I read in reviews about the monotonous cuisine and was very surprised by this review when I came to the restaurant again).
Cuisine for every taste: different meats, various stewed vegetables, a large selection of pastries, yogurt, omelet, rice with saffron, rice with spinach, rice with shrimp, etc..., several types of cheese, both soft and hard.
We were not able to try everything in 9 days. Every day fruits and dates, honey.
Coffee from coffee machines.
I recommend the hotel to those who do not need chic new furniture, what is important is the promenade area and the coral reef.
The territory is so large that you can’t cover it all in 2 hours. There is no particular place to walk outside the area, but there are shops.
For those who don’t like or can’t walk, there are cars running around the area.
Egypt impressed me, I really fell ill with the magical sea. And I definitely want to come back here again. I would be very happy to come here again next New Year 😊
The hotel organized a very nice New Year's Eve evening with dinner.
It was very atmospheric and fun.
The hotel staff is friendly. Almost everyone speaks Russian.

I vacationed from June 21, 2023 with a 13-year-old child. We arrived at the hotel at 23.00, checked in immediately, no food was provided, we put on bracelets and were shown to our room. The breakfast is varied, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sandwiches, pastries, everything is the same as everywhere else in Egypt. The beach is very clean, the staff is annoying, especially the bartenders and beach workers. A huge plus is that lunch was organized on the beach and it was a full lunch, not a snack. With the influx of tourists for lunch, another restaurant was opened at the reception. Lunch is also very varied. The contingent at the hotel is different, there are a lot of Arabs (but very cultured), Europeans, but there were very few Russian speakers. I keep the restaurants very clean, they change the tablecloths after each tourist, which was very strange for me because this is not typical for Egypt. The rooms are also very well cleaned; we had enough cleaning for 2 days.
PANTONE. I've never liked pantones, but this hotel is okay with that. When the tide is high, it can be a little deep on the descent, even if it was up to my beard, but after swimming forward about 3 meters it was already up to my chest. And when the tide is low it’s waist deep. A bus runs to the beach from the reception every 10 minutes at intervals of 10 minutes. The pool is very warm in the afternoon.
In the evening, dinner is also very varied, lots of meat, vegetables, fruits, and baked goods. In restaurants, managers are very careful to ensure that no one takes away food and that everyone has bracelets. And yes, a huge minus for this hotel, ATTENTION.... when you check out of the hotel at 12.00, your bracelets are cut off and you can no longer use the benefits of the hotel and EAT. It was a shock for me!!!
The hotel has animation for children and adults.
Closer to midnight, a bar and an adult disco open.
In general, it was a fairly enjoyable holiday, if not for this minus

Here we are at this hotel. I won't describe the flight as standard. Arrive after 14.00 so check-in was quick, rooms are normal ,large , furniture "tired" but very strong nothing falls off , not broken , everything works properly (safe, refrigerator, hairdryer, TV, air conditioning). Cleaning the room daily , water was put in, towels were changed every day and the bed was not forgotten. There is no shampoo, there is a large dispenser hanging from the wall with shower gel , I and the head of the soap ,as the bathroom had hair conditioner in small tubes ,it was brought at the end ,which I was quite comfortable with, in the same tubes was body lotion . There was no problem with hot water, but the electricity was cut periodically.
Food : Delicious and varied. Listing everything is not enough page. Who says there's no variety I don't know what you eat at home. Stuffed turkey and chicken, different kinds of beef ,lamb ,baking and side dishes are many, many .The first ones at the hotel saw that they serve couscous (I love it very much) Tuesdays grilled king shrimp and crabs, very delicious. The only thing I personally missed was fruit, bananas, peaches, plums not to ripe, green. Watermelons were given once every 3 days on issue. Mangoes weren't in season, though.
Animation: There is, good, all the time called something, starting at 10.30 with yoga and carried on. On Saturdays at 11.00 in the children's pool ,foamy fun (party tongue does not turn)) on Wednesdays discotheque on the beach fire show , artists invited, on Fridays dinner must go a little later by about 8 p.m. , in the dining room arabian night, understand that it will be because at the reception stand animators dressed as pharaohs and queens.
Sea, beach : The tides, and the tides are so powerful, when the tide comes down from the pontoon of water to the chest of an adult and the water becomes hot. Who doesn't swim confidently or the kids are fine. But also those who swim well there is room ,you can go to the reef ,there and depth ,you can dive, also there is a home reef with livestock, not bad. There's a beech rope along the reef so everyone can see the fish. Who swims best goes to the end of the reef. I was afraid, not quite a confident swimmer, but I swam to the end of the pier. Of course it is not Sharm el Sheikh , this should be taken into account when choosing this hotel. The beach of a large space is enough for everyone, deckchairs do not need to be occupied, deckchairs are wooden, heavy. Plank umbrellas, not reed umbrellas. One thing marred but the hotel has no complaints is that at high tides nailed a lot of garbage out of the sea ,plastic bags , cups. Employees of the beach before the opening of the pontoon collected , but also holidaymakers remained who were not lazy and who cared ,collected .
The staff are all friendly , in bars do not harm anyone , pour full glasses , on the beach in bar glasses plastic. Clean, all the time washing, all the appliances and everywhere heat treated in autoclaves.

I liked the hotel. We chose it based on reviews, and our expectations were met.
The standard room is quite decent. The furniture is not new, but good quality; there are marble countertops on the bedside tables and dressing table. There are only 3 sockets in the room, charging gadgets alternated. Room cleaning, like everywhere else, is quite clean, but not perfect. Bed linen is changed only upon request.
The food is good, tasty and quite varied! My stomach never protested)). Lunch is always at a restaurant on the beach. It's unusual, but in the end we liked it, it's very convenient.
The beach is quite large, there are many umbrellas and sun loungers. There will always be a place. There is a separate relaxation area where the music is almost inaudible, and where, apparently, the animators do not go. Swimming is very convenient, from the pier the descent into the sea is shallow, and further away the depth is greater. Convenient for both children and adults.
The animation is funny, the guys try hard, they always invite you to play something. And at the same time, they delicately accept refusal if you don’t want to. This is nice, well done.
The territory is well-groomed and blooming.
The hotel staff is hospitable, smiling and polite.
I can confidently recommend a stay at this hotel!

So. To start with the positives - exceptional staff, from the gardeners, cleaners, reception, chefs, waiting staff, pool men..basically everyone we encountered was Friendly, cheerful, polite, helpful, courteous… I can run out of positive adjectives! The resort itself advertises itself as 4* rather the 5* shown in England - I would say 4.5* as although there all the facilities we wanted, the hotel room (and indeed the whole resort) needs a good schedule of maintenance as many areas are really tired (but still function). The outdoor pools are heated and the main pool is large, carefully monitored by 3 life guards every day from 9-5, there is a well equipped gym, a spa, games area, mini club and poolside activities. The food, while varied buffet for breakfast and dinner was adequate but not fabulous.

The negatives. The Dive Shop at the beach mislead us by selling us a boat trip which included ‘diving, snorkelling and a 2 hour stay at Orange Bay - a perfect glorious island to swim and sunbathe’. What we got was an unexplained delay at the start of 45 minutes, reducing the day trip. We got the first two (diving/snorkelling) but then a trip to Magawish island… a building site, clearly under construction and very noisy with building tools/machinery, strewn with litter, dangerous bits of metal, plastics everywhere and the sand areas covered in cigarette butts along with several areas literally too horrible to describe. A dangerous place for children at present and very unappealing to the adults. There was nowhere to swim (basic sun umbrellas with mats underneath were in place but little else) owing the scale of rubbish. On speaking with two other people, they were also told Orange Bay was included and we also found out we all had paid a different price, ranging from £70 to £98 for 2 people…all from the same seller!! On speaking to the seller, everything was denied but a vague apology extended.

The hotel rooms are adequate but the headboards and areas behind all furniture need a clean as they were very dusty.

Tips for visiting the Pharaoh Azur
1. Take beach shoes - beautiful coral is everywhere
2. Walk out of the front gates to the excursion shop - everything is cheaper and you DO get what you pay for.
3. Take your own hair conditioner as the one provided is not helpful!
4. Going in low season as we did is a good idea - I imagine in high season the resort and beach would make some things (like eating, pool use etc) challenging
5. Negotiate! And shop around if you can. The first price offered by any vendor seemed to be an opening gambit only.

Recently spent an unforgettable holiday with the girl at the Pharaoh Azur Resort.

The rooms are very comfortable and always impeccably clean. Cleaning was done daily, creating a sense of comfort and care.

The staff deserve special praise – everyone is friendly, attentive and ready to help in any situation. The attitude really only leaves a warm impression. Lots of interesting shows, animations and games throughout the day, if you don't sit back you can have fun.
There are 3 Russian animators, Nastya, Kolya, Masha, fun guys.

Hotel meals are a separate pleasure. The dishes were delicious and varied, especially the fresh fruit and quality pastries.

The location is excellent: the beach is a few steps away, the shops are nearby, and the hotel grounds are ideal for walking.

The infrastructure is wonderful – a clean swimming pool, a comfortable beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, and a well-equipped gym.

The Hotel Pharaoh Azur Resort has given us a holiday you want to tell your friends about. We'll definitely come back again!

This is my seventh time to hurghada and this is by far the worst hotel that I have stayed in. Firstly the positive it is clean and other than one reception staff all staff are really friendly and helpful.sadly that is all the rooms are dated the repairs are unsightly in bathroom the curtains are not all black out the beds are so hard. Also they advertise jacuzzi inside pool and gym there was no jacuzzi and the lifeguard asked to you pay when using gym or pool at 5-10 euros aday each just to be clear these are not apart of spa which is obviously priced extra. As cups in restaurants are small I took one on my last day from the room and must have forgotten to return it to the room as when we checked out I was called back to reception to pay for replacement. The food was poor and caused several guests at our time to seek medication also for the last week of holiday the main restaurant was closed at lunch time the alternative was the same food served at bar every day cold chips and burger or sausage as someone with heart condition the beach bar was too far to walk every day with no rest areas available between this was supposed to be a birthday to remember yet it was tarnished by poor management and no atmosphere

Good hotel. Excellent animation, children are delighted. Excellent service in the restaurant and bars. Friendly and helpful staff. The food is varied. A 2-year-old child always has something to eat, the soups were a hit. The children's menu is only for dinner and it is not really for children (spicy pasta, fried cutlets, deep-fried breaded chicken, etc.). Room cleaning is good. The only thing is that there is no separate shampoo, shower gel, soap - everything is in dispensers. Shampoo - Aka shower gel.

They did 1 dance around 3pm. The stretching session was great but very chilled. The water arobics was great fun They start water polo of and then disappear. There were others things mentioned but we never saw them. The night time shows were very short and we only saw bits of them due to eating in the bookable restaurants as the food in main 1 was t suitable for me being a vegetarian. The spa is very nice and you get good deals. If you like a lot happening in hotel I don’t think it’s for you.
