We had a fantastic holiday from the first foot inside the hotel until the transfer out. Ahmed Hussaien made us feel very welcome and his colleague on reception Nardeen Aziz was a delight to talk to and gave us help with everything we needed to know about our stay in Hurghada. Both of them arranged things for us that made our stay hassle free. The security guard Mohamed Swelam was also taking care of us making sure when we took taxis that he knew who we were going with and where we were going. It helped to reassure us. We had a housekeeper who was always trying to do the best he could do for our room. Our room was spotless throughout our stay and the drinks cabinet always full and he always made sure we had bottled water. The food in the many restaurants on site was always fresh, varied and served by an amazing group of chefs and waiting staff. Abbrahim and Faris in particular were always making sure we had what we needed but also friendly and entertaining which added something to the whole experience. The Sky restaurant on site is to be recommended. The lifeguards were much more than lifeguards asking us if we needed towels and loungers and keeping their areas very clean. Managers were in attendance everywhere and were always available to speak with. The location is close to but not in the centre of Hurgahda and the pedestrian areas within and outside the resort are a pleasure and safe to walk in. The Christmas lights, decorations are amazing. The walk through the well maintained gardens down to the beach is delightful. There is also a buggy to take you there if you dont want the short walk down. The beach is sandy and beautiful and safe to swim and the restaurant serves good pizza, pasta, fish and chips and burgers if you do not want to return to the main restaurants. It is so family friendly that I would have no hesitation in taking children and senior citizens.
Overall all the teams in this hotel are very professional and their hospitality is their priority. We shall definately stay at this one and other Steigenberger resorts in the future.

A first time visit to this Hotel in Hurgada a ten min transfer byTaxi to Hotel from Airport and first impressions very good arriving late in evening feels quite quiet, after check in the allocation of rooms in Block 7 a few min walk from reception, rooms excellent standard double bed room for single occupant all mod cons mini fridge stocked with water and fruit juice and soft drink stocked daily free ,safety box in wardrobe large shower space all clean to a good high standard lovely view over 1 of the large swimming pools in this complex my Family who have been here before show me around the hotel on first evening including a late dining room for late or hungry residents food excellent and hot even for late timing, very nice attentive staff after dining a look around evening bars to get my bearings and feel for this large Hotel . Also there is a beach buggy that will take you down to the Beach side where there is a lovely beach side restaurant for lunchtime dining Pizza etc plus drinks and all in a beautiful laid back setting. Suffice it to say we stayed at this Hotel for 8 days I just wish it had been longer and a wonderful experience it was from beautiful friendly staff from all departments from reception to housekeeping to dining rooms and bars even friendly faces from the groundskeepers who do a wonderful job taking care of the gardens and ornamental hedges .For me and my family it was a wonderful laid back Holiday with beautiful hot weather and a wonderful Happy Holiday Experience I would very much like to return to this Beautiful Hotel .

We recently returned from a 4 week stay at Steigenberger Aqua Magic in Hurgdada, Egypt. The hotel services were exceptional.

The tables were set with colourful table cloths and fabric napkins. The late night buffet was very helpful when returning from tours to Cairo and Luxor. We found all the al la carte restaurants wonderful also.
Bars: we appreciated the lobby staff bringing our drinks to our seating area. The beer and white wine were great.
Pools: most of the pools were heated including the main activity pool, aqua slides, pirate ship for children and another large pool. We had no issues finding a lounger through the day. Staff would assist with setting up towels on the loungers, opening up umbrellas and bringing drinks. The pools were open from 8am until 5pm.
Beach: the beach was accessible by walking a few minutes or taking a shuttle cart. The beach is located across the street and shared with the Aldau resort. The water was clear but too cool to swim in during the months of January or February.
Technical: wifi worked well in our room for 2 devices.
Property: the property is very clean overall. We also enjoyed walking in the pathways of the Aldau resort as the gardens and flowers were beautiful.

We recently stayed at Steigenberger Aqua Magic in Hurghada, Egypt, and while the location was undeniably beautiful, our experience left us a bit disappointed. We love Egypt and will definitely return, but unfortunately, we wouldn’t choose to stay at this hotel again.
To start with the positives, the Red Sea setting is fantastic. The resort offers stunning views, and our room was spacious, clean, and well-kept thanks to the diligent housekeeping staff. The beach is lovely, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful, which we appreciated.
However, several issues detracted from our experience. A significant frustration was the lack of available sun loungers. By early morning, nearly every chair was already reserved, leaving us with very few options throughout the day. On more than one occasion, we found ourselves sharing a single sun chair between three people, which is not what we expected for a relaxing getaway.
The buffet was also a letdown. The selection was much narrower than we’re used to from other five-star all-inclusive resorts, especially in places like Turkey or the Caribbean. The options were limited, repetitive, and sometimes lacked freshness, which impacted the overall dining experience.
The service at Steigenberger Aqua Magic was inconsistent as well. Although some staff members were friendly, it often took multiple follow-ups to fulfill simple requests like extra towels. We expected a more attentive service, given the hotel’s five-star rating.
As a family, we were also disappointed by the hotel’s policy that doesn’t allow children to use swim rings in the pool. This rule felt overly restrictive and made it difficult for our kids to fully enjoy the pool area. We hadn’t encountered this policy at other family-friendly resorts, so it was an unexpected drawback. No drinks near the pool…and ofcourse i totaly understand that should be prohibid where the kids are but at the adult pool, they should make some exceptions.Also the quality of the drinks is very low. I payed extra for a bottle of no-name Sekt almsot 18 Euro. An Espresso Martini costs 30 Euros.
Animation team was great.
Overall, while Steigenberger Aqua Magic has a beautiful setting, it doesn’t fully meet the standards we’ve come to expect from five-star all-inclusive resorts. With some changes, it could become a much better experience, but as it stands, it’s not a place we would return to. We’ll be back to explore more of Egypt but will look for a different hotel that better meets our expectations.

But here too we were served in a friendly and quick manner. The hotel's own section of beach was a complete disappointment for me. There is maybe 2 metres of beach, otherwise it is crammed with loungers. Conclusion: This hotel is definitely only recommended for families. Couples or groups of adults in general will not have a peaceful holiday here. Personally, I will not come back again. At most when we have children who can swim and the food has improved.

The hotel was excellent. The room was always clean and you received a small artistic surprise made of towels, even without a tip. German employees from the Steigenberger were everywhere to ask how we were feeling. We felt very well looked after. There was a heated pool at 28 degrees, unfortunately too warm for us and also well filled. The pool next to it was 19 degrees cold but great for cooling off, and it was also much quieter there. There was a large selection of food, as well as various restaurants with a la carte. The employees were always very accommodating, during meals, at the pool and at reception. We stayed here for a week at the start of February, myself and my partner with our 16 month old and my parents. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were put at ease straightaway by the staff. They kept our suitcases while we checked in and brought them to our room while the staff brought us a welcome drink. Our room was lovely, a pool view with a super balcony and a really nice living room area. The room was kept very clean the whole week, and the cleaning staff were very helpful, giving towels and drinks for the mini fridge any time we asked. The breakfast was brilliant, and even when it was busy there was no major wait for any part of it. I was worried about food for our baby but she ate more that week than her previous 16 months combined. The food selection at every meal was really good, and everything we had was delicious. There's plenty of places to get food, be that by the pool or sitting down and they all had really nice drinks on offer to. The dinners were great, however we went to the Sky Restaurant one night which didn't exactly impress me - personally the Flavors buffet style was nicer in my opinion. It was exceptionally windy on the roof and was quite exposed, but I'm sure other people would find it enjoyable to have a fancier meal. The Italian restaurant by the pool was my personal favourite, and I was gutted to only discover on our last morning that they actually do breakfast there too. The grounds are beautiful, and across the road at the Aldau and beach area was just lovely to walk around each day. The hotel is in a really safe area, and the shops attached to the hotel are a great idea too. The staff were all so helpful, we had a slight difficulty getting a suitable cot for our baby, but the staff were friendly and approachable and we did get sorted after a day or two. All in all there were only a few small flaws, which really are insignificant compared to the positives. Thank you to Aqua Magic for making our first family holiday just the best week we could have asked for. We would 100% come back.

We had the pleasure of spending our holiday at Steigenberger Aqua Magic in Hurghada and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Here are our impressions in the different categories:

Arrival Delays and Lack of Consideration: From the moment we arrived, the reception staff delayed seeing us, despite noticing the sheer exhaustion of our group, including the difficulties faced by our disabled children after a long journey. We were kept waiting unnecessarily, with no priority given, which was inexcusable considering our circumstances.
Booking Disputes and Arguments: When we were finally attended to, Abdelnoub insisted that our booking was incorrect, claiming that two of our 13-year-old children needed to be classified as adults because they were over the age of 12. This arbitrary and poorly communicated policy led to a heated argument. Despite showing proof of our original booking and terms, we were stonewalled and accused of not adhering to their guidelines.
Partial Room Allocation – A Heartless Decision: The staff’s solution? They gave us access to only one of the three rooms we had booked until we paid an unexpected and unjustified surcharge. Denying a group of 11, including tired and disabled children, proper accommodations after a long flight is beyond unprofessional—it’s heartless. Worse, if they disputed two children, why withhold two rooms? At the very least, we should have been allowed two rooms while resolving the issue.
A 15-Hour Journey and Four Hours of Waiting: After waiting for four exhausting hours and enduring arguments with the reception team, we had no choice but to pay the extra money. At this point, our journey had already spanned over 15 hours. For a family dealing with such travel fatigue and accompanying challenges, this treatment was not just unfair but utterly unacceptable.
Other Staff and Final Thoughts: It is worth mentioning that we had no issues with the cleaners, pool staff, and other team members, who were polite and hardworking. However, the reception team is an entirely different story. They need, at the very least, a complete training overhaul—if not being replaced entirely.
Final Thoughts – Stay Away! Our experience with Steinberger Aqua Magic has left us deeply disappointed. The lack of empathy, unprofessional conduct, and refusal to accommodate even basic requests for a group with disabled children reflect a serious deficiency in their customer service standards. If you value respect and care during your travels, avoid this hotel at all costs.

It’s a draught lager, probably Stella but not the British Stella. It’s ok.
As with all all-inclusive, if you read the details, it’s LOCAL SPIRITS ( imagine Tesco own brand standard ) that are included, imported spirits are chargeable and normally expensive
There are more places to choose from in the Hurghada area.
