Hotel is very clean, staff are bright and cheerful. Breakfast is so luxurious.. pool and pool bar is a bit limited, as well as the beach is a lagoon. The rooms are very spacious and equipped with a nespresso coffee machine, two TVs, Bose sound system.. the pictures under this listing are all real.. too good to be true, but it is all true!
My husband and I stayed at La Maison Bleue for 2 nights in September. We’d had our eye on this hotel for a while after seeing it online and decided to book it on our trip to El Gouna as an extra special way to start our trip. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted with a glass of fizz and cold face cloths which was much appreciated after our flight. We were amazed at how beautiful the hotel was and the friendliness of the staff. We were shown to our suite and all I can say is WOW! It was so spacious and had everything you could ever want in a room...and more! The suite was bigger than some apartments. The attention to detail in the decor was fantastic and reminded us of a venetian style villa. As it was late we couldn’t see the view from the balcony as it was dark, but we were assured it was a fantastic view. Sure enough next morning we opened the curtains to a lovely view of the beach and lagoon area, and kite surfers in the distance. We were told breakfast was “whenever and wherever you wanted it” and it was. There was no time limits on breakfast as with most hotels and after speaking to staff they wanted you to feel at home so breakfast was on your terms. There was a choice of Egyptian or continental breakfast. We opted for continental both mornings and it was superb! Fruit, cheeses and pastries were served on a stand similar to those used for afternoon tea. There was also breads, jams, smoked salmon, salad and a choice of egg options made for you. We both chose Eggs Benedict with avocado and it was cooked to perfection. The staff were a credit to the hotel. They were attentive without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble for them. Being such a small hotel with maximum of 22 guests at anytime the service was really personal. My husband arranged for us to have dinner one evening for my birthday and it was just fantastic. The food quality was superb. He’d chosen a table on the terrace overlooking the beach which the staff had helped him to arrange. As the hotel was so small there were no other guests around that evening so we had the place to ourselves, including the bar for drinks afterwards! It was such a unique and unforgettable dining experience! The pool area and beach are lovely and lots of places to get great photos! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing getaway - it would be great for a honeymoon. We will be back for sure! We loved our stay here so much!…
It was my first time to gouna and I was searching for a hotel luxurious without having issues with burkinis. The hotel is so calm, the decorations and furniture are so fascinating and glorious. The suites size is so big I loved every detail in the room starting from the coffee corner till the dressing room. The bed was comfy, not that big but it was good. The pool is so relaxing. The weather was so charming on the beach. The beach is not good to swimming allover gouna, so to summarize, If you are looking for a calm, beautiful space for escaping from the rush and busy life, this hotel will be perfect for you and for taking memorable pictures too.
The hotel is beyond perfect! Its very relaxing for those who are into the luxurious antique kinda hotels. Recommended to those who are looking for a relaxing getaway! Must visit at least for lunch/dinner if not staying there.
To be honest my expectations were sky high for this mediocre hotel. The decor, the location and the views are the only things that are positive in this hotel. Our room: had an A/C problem that was handled poorly by the manager. The private pool had fungus, and the murky smell Of moldy wood was everywhere in our suite; let alone the few ants and other crawlies in the room. As for the restaurant: The food taste is below standard, and the training and attitude of the waiters was also below standard. I could see that they were trying. But apparently this hotel had seen better days.
