For the money, I genuinely can’t fault this place! It’s only classed as a 3-star and in some very minor regards this might be true, but overall, in terms of value for money, I’ve not stayed in better! I’ve stayed in the 5-star places in Sharm and they are very lovely but, this place is absolutely fabulous when you look at the difference in the prices!! Brilliant for a good value winter holiday!

The staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful. They all have a smile for you and make you feel welcome. At the Pool Bar Hakim and Samuel work hard, always with a smile and a song, and in the restaurant George, Alfie and the team help you with tables and drinks. Thanks for a lovely stay everyone! First bad its a lot of russians which make the holiday different especially when you undestand them what I do unfortunately. Stuff ok Food similar all the time, no taste at all. No heated pool my son got cold first day I poisoned once when eaten fish so be careful Rooms ok for 3☆ They dont change your bed linings each day, no towel change at all. if you want SPA then pay as less as you can because no much interest after you paid them for 3 sessions but tell them that you pay for 50 min massage not for 30 etc. I had one session rubbish but after lot of moans two sessions was very good, I like hard massage. Beach poor but clean I haven't seen much animations but don't care Did not do diving this time because I had no chance to leave my 8 years old son anywhere like a kids club etc Transfers from airport and back just excellent. So 7 days for little money was worth for sure

The resort is second to none: fabulous staff, a coral reef, mountains, 4 pools and a 20 minute bus ride from a lovely city. I received a warm welcome and nothing but kindness from all the staff members at Happy Life Village. They go out of their way to make sure you have the best holiday. I never found that there was a language barrier and felt completely safe in the resort at all times despite travelling alone. The receptionists Saad and Mobi were so helpful - arranging places on the shuttle bus to Dahab and return transfers - nothing was too much trouble (even rude guests from other countries who have no manners and no idea how to queue were put in their place). Samuel and Akram at the pool bar were amazing. They looked after me every evening, making sure I was ok and that I had everything I needed as a solo female guest. In the evenings there is always some kind of entertainment from the Animation team. I saw Bellydancers, played bingo, sang karaoke, watched a fire show and saw talent shows whilst I was there. Mo and the Animation team were friendly, helpful and motivating - they even managed to get me doing Aqua Aerobics!! George is probably the best waiter in world - kind, efficient and attentive. All inclusive is such a good deal - I was never hungry or thirsty. The food was fabulous and the drinks were strong! I was also given a voucher for lunch after I had checked out as I had missed lunch on my first day. You are issued with a towel card for a clean towel every day that is to be returned by 5pm (sunset). Getting a sun bed down at the beach was harder than getting one poolside due to towels being left on beds to ‘reserve’ them. Get a snorkel mask! I got one from Dahab for around £10 and used it nearly every day after - snorkelling around the reef was absolutely brilliant!! There are 3 free shuttle buses that go to Dahab every day from the resort, but you need to book them on the day from 8 am and be there earlier if you want to book a place on the 5pm trip. Other guests just get on regardless but they do check the list and remove those that haven’t booked. It’s important to remember that this is a 3 star hotel - buildings are well kept despite being outdated - don’t expect a modern environment and Wi-Fi is only available in the reception area twice a day. The gardens are well kept and there are bins and ashtrays everywhere. Go by the reviews on here - 4.5 out of 5 - you won’t regret it. I would go back in a heartbeat - Thank you all for the holiday of a lifetime!

From the moment I arrived till I left I have experienced kindness with all staff members. They really engage with everyone even if they don'tspeak your language. Particular note goes to receptionist Saad and Mobi, porter( I don't know his name) Abraham ans Samuel at the pool bar(Roberto Baggio and Ronaldo:-)) chefs at the restaurant and the lifeguards. The location is really nice: reef and mountains made a wonderful landscape. Travellers get your mask and flint and enjoy the beauty of this place! It's also 5 min walking from 3 pools. Different kind of excursion are available from 3 pools ( I did not engage the hotel rep) and centre of Dahab, but you have to strongly negotiate to get a good deal :-) The spa at the hotel is nice, I have not experience it but everyone I met said so. Food is healthy and simple. There is a variety too. All inclusive is a good deal and gives you peace in mind even if you don't drink much. The senior management should consider a bit of flexibility with charges of drink on departure day for visitor whom arrive late and miss food and drinks on first day and have a late flight when leaving. After 12 am they would give you a voucher for lunch but charge for coffe and/or drinks if you consume at the pool bar. They would cut your bracelet and staff would not be authorized to dispence a coffe without charging. I WAS happy to pay €20 extra to keep the room for 4 extra hours. The building itself is kept well despite being outdated. Do not expect a modern environment. There are 3 free shuttle to go to Dahab every day from the resort, but you need to book them on the day from 8 am( better be there earlier and wait if you want to book for 5pm ride) I would definitely go back. Thank you all for the wonderful week.

Happy Life Village Hotel - Dahab review Euro is king (25.15 Ep - €1) , then the Dollar and finally Egyptian Pound. After a 1 hour tranfer from sharm El Sheik airport to the hotel, which ended up being 1am after a delay at Luton, we finally arrived. Check-in was smooth, even though the two receptionists were not very welcoming. I was travelling with my neice and requested two rooms next to each other, which I had requested a week earlier via email, but when we were taken to our rooms (they insist on porter service), they had only one room key, presuming we were a couple! , so it seems reception didn't read the hotel voucher confirmation, and obviously didn't read the email regarding the rooms. It ended up that the second room was two blocks away (ants all through bathroom) , and after a long day travelling, we decided to sort the room issue the following morning. Note: Day reception staff much friendlier than night. Changed the second room to the same block, but it was still a little inconvienient to move suitcases. The hotel has a mixture of nationalities, German, Dutch, Polish, Russian and English. It was evident that the Russian contingent were somewhat rude to hotel staff, especially around the bars when requesting alcohol. The restuarant, a self-service buffet, serve similar foods daily (Breakfast 7-10am, Lunch 13:00-15:00, Dinner 19:00-21:00) there is more than enough variety to mix it up, along with freshly cooked, for even the pickiest of eaters to find something to eat. The pool and beach bars open from 10:00-23:00 daily and a free bottle of 1.5ltr water daily from pool bar for the rooms. Both bars have tea, coffee and alcohol, all provided in small plastic cups, along with a range of pastry snacks between 16:00-17:30. The bar and restaurant staff are very friendly, however one incident on Saturday annoyed me, got up early to place my own towels and bag on the beds near the pool bar, then went to my room, came back 5 minutes later and the pool Attendant (yellow polo shirt ) moved my stuff to accomadate other holiday makers that he had agreed to save after receiving a tip!! and it seems there is a lucrative 'back-hander' tip service to get towels put on beds in your absence. So be early to get the beds you want, otherwise you'll be paying for the privilege. The staff make the holiday, along with a very active animation team, which have something going on every day. Although one of the animation team on music quiz night did call my neice fat over the microphone, because she didnt get to the stage quick enough, not good when you have a complex about your weight! There is a bit of a language barrier when asking for drinks in the restaurant, the table clearers lack English and had a tendency to nod rather than understand the question. Everyone is given a towel card, to use either down the beach or at the pool, but be aware the towel attendants are available from 07:00, due to the daily sun bed saving (incident mentioned earlier) that goes on. Early risers are key to getting the sun loungers here!! Entertainment is provided by the Animation team, who do there best to entertain those who want to be a little active, Yoga, Pool Arobics, Darts, Boule, table tennis, Beach volleyball etc. They also have a kids pool (with slides) and playground, along with evenings entertainment, Fire show, Belly Dancing, Disco, Bingo, Kareoke etc. I was a little taken a back by the choice of music, some of which is full of swearing 🤬, especially with young kids on the resort, I didnt see this as appropriate. Depending on who you make aware of a room issue at reception, will depend on how quick a result you get. One of the showers had no hot water for 3 days after complaining twice to the day shift, and only when we complained to the evening reception team did something get done. The rooms overall are clean, but again looking tired in places. The room attendants do a great job, leaving towel animals and definatley deserve a tip at the end your stay. You can get a free taxi into Dahab for shopping, and for other excursions you book with the local travel agent. We did Quads, but I would suggest you go with Sammi in the Hotel rather than the excursion run by an external team. The external team tell you everything is free, but you will be taken to a bedouin camp and asked if you want drinks etc, but expect to pay for them, they are not free!! Sammi will take you further, the experience is very enjoyable and you will have a great 2 hours for £22. You won't be dissapointed. We also booked a snorkling day trip that went from Dahab Marina (dont take alcohol, it will be confiscated) it was great, a good boat team and water guides made the excursion memorable with a trip up the coast for some sightseeing. We had lunch and drinks included in the €64 pp euro price tag. There was also a photographer on board that took shots throughout out the trip, which collectively cost €100, however there were no under water shots. Even though the sea is pretty ok temperature wise, I did hire a half diving suit to keep my inner core warm (€7 per day). Do bring your own snorkling bits, the fish around the pier and coral reef off the beach are remarkable!! A definite must!!!. Negatives! The hotel SPA, Rahim & Mohammad were the salesman, but be aware tjey do not tell the Spa what has been agreed, and in my opinion it felt like scam. We booked a two hour session with everything, and 1 hour back, neck and indian head masssge, because we weren't sure about doing it, we were offered a second treatment. So we ended up paying €200. The first time we arrived, we were asked what we had booked?! As they had no record of it. Then the full package turned into half a package, with no body scrub or sauna, and my back and head turned into a 15 minute massage and left to chill the remainder. The second session was much better for my neice who got the remainder of treatments (masssge, body scrub, etc) however I got the same again with sauna and Jacuzzi, which wasn't worth the €100 in my opinion. Flies and Mosquitos. Be prepared, they are in abundance and no fumigation takes place to limit them, especially around the beach loungers, and beach bar where most of my bites came from. There are no fly traps around the beach and only a couple scattered around the complex. The only way to deter them in the rooms is by having the air con on and Mosquito blocks plugged in. Do take plenty of repellent with you as a prevention. Beach sellers (kids bracelets, Spa treatments, camel rides and Quads) Sammi only does twice a day selling quad experience, which is not a bother abd he already knows who he has approached previously, where as the Spa camel 🐫 and kids are constant and annoying, even when they know you have had a Spa treatment, they continue to try and sell more. The kids are local urchins and there must be at least 10+, security try to get rid but they keep coming back. Very annoying when trying to relax. The hotel looks tired in places, you arrive at the entrance of the hotel down a dirt track, there are pot holes on the paths around the hotel, but especially around the pool area that has a crazy paving and uneven surface, not ideal for those with stability issues. However the gardens are watered regularly and look nice and tidy. My overall rating for the hotel is a 5/10, and this is only because of the hotel staff and Animation team, otherwise it would be a lot lower. I would suggest to improve services, that... 1. Make people aware at checkin of the welcome meeting the following day. 2.Take return airport information, so you can provide pick up information on the front desk without having to provide it to every group which is time consumming. 3.Spa and Beach sellers are annoying by constsntly bugging sunbathers. The Spa are on the complex, they are damaging the hotels brand, especially not having any written confirmation on agreed treatments. 4.The hotel need to fumigate the complex daily (especially the beach bar) and have more fly traps on the beach. Too many bites doesnt make it fun if constantly itching. 5.Reception handover - when a room issue is rsised, write it down and highlight when fixed. 6.Pool towel attendants, to stop scamming people at the pool and beach by agreeing to save beds for money. 7.Every room to have a complete itinerary of what the Animation team are doing daily (Time and place) would get greater participation. 8.Finally Health and Safety, fill in the holes around the pool and paths. All of the above is factual and nothing is made up, but if you want to improve, then I would consider taking up some of the suggestions.

It's a really great place with a lot of possibilities. You can go snorkeling and see beautiful fishes and coral reef, you can ride a horse on the beach (next to the building of Happy Life Village there are bedouins' "bars" and you can ask about this possibility), you can meet very nice people and drink coffee at one of bedouin's bar. Of course you can also go to the canyon - Sam is the best! He has got his office near to the beach in the Happy Village Resort. He is very symphatic and takes great photos which can be a special lifetime souvenir. Riding a camel is also ok ;) Besides, the Happy Life Village offers the trip to Dahab and you can see this small town. Meals are delicious and the staff (in the kitchen ant the cleaning service ) are very helpfull ;) Every day interesting plays on the beach with instructors. The beach with many places to everyone. I recommend this place!!!
