Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI

Happy Life Village is celebrated for its value, scenic location by the sea and mountains, and a tranquil atmosphere that many guests adore. While praised for friendly service and cleanliness, the hotel has received some negative feedback regarding pushy sales and areas needing more upkeep, like the beach. Travelers enjoy the spacious, air-conditioned rooms, but some suggest updates are needed. The diverse amenities are popular, though issues with Wi-Fi connectivity and safety have been noted.

From the moment I arrived till I left I have experienced kindness with all staff members. They really engage with everyone even if they don'tspeak your language. Particular note goes to receptionist Saad and Mobi, porter( I don't know his name) Abraham ans Samuel at the pool bar(Roberto Baggio and Ronaldo:-)) chefs at the restaurant and the lifeguards.
The location is really nice: reef and mountains made a wonderful landscape. Travellers get your mask and flint and enjoy the beauty of this place! It's also 5 min walking from 3 pools.
Different kind of excursion are available from 3 pools ( I did not engage the hotel rep) and centre of Dahab, but you have to strongly negotiate to get a good deal :-)
The spa at the hotel is nice, I have not experience it but everyone I met said so.
Food is healthy and simple. There is a variety too.
All inclusive is a good deal and gives you peace in mind even if you don't drink much. The senior management should consider a bit of flexibility with charges of drink on departure day for visitor whom arrive late and miss food and drinks on first day and have a late flight when leaving. After 12 am they would give you a voucher for lunch but charge for coffe and/or drinks if you consume at the pool bar. They would cut your bracelet and staff would not be authorized to dispence a coffe without charging. I WAS happy to pay €20 extra to keep the room for 4 extra hours.
The building itself is kept well despite being outdated. Do not expect a modern environment.
There are 3 free shuttle to go to Dahab every day from the resort, but you need to book them on the day from 8 am( better be there earlier and wait if you want to book for 5pm ride)
I would definitely go back.
Thank you all for the wonderful week.

Everything is ok, good service, good food, rooms need to be repaired. Territory is beautiful. Beach has beautiful corral, massage is good.good ratio between quality and price. The hotel is situated far from dahab center but there is a couple of transfers free of charge.

Hotel is located in a picturesque place. There are mountains, sea and coral reefs with a lot of different kinds of fishes.
Employees of the hotel are very friendly, benevolent. Rooms are not new but clean. The rooms are cleaned every day.
Сleaning men leave two bottles of pure water.
The good food is in the restaurant. There are fruits and vegetables, tasty sweets and others.
You can have drinks in the bar on the beach and near the pool (fizzy drinks, beer, cocktails) . Every day in the evening the bus goes to Dahab from the reception building.Every evening at 9 p.m beach bar hosts parties.
I was very glad that I had chosen this hotel.

The area in which the hotel is situated is stunningly gorgeous. The water is crystal clear from the dock, so much so that you can look down and see the coral and fish. It’s nestled right up to the mountains and scenery wise was like a dream. The room is adequate for what the price is. The buffet is also adequate and provides a plethora of options.

However, I was disgusted to find some kind of orange/red goo on my shower towel. Clean linen at minimum should be a requirement.

Most upsettingly was our interactions with the staff. I normally read these kind of complaints and assume that the writer is an unreasonable “Karen” type person but I hope this comes across as not being that. With the exception of the man who showed us to our room, we had negative interactions with every staff member. Being berating about paying for drinks while actively trying to pay for them, having the front desk clerk roll his eyes at us and even simple questions lead to being spoken to rudely. We discussed between us if it was something we were doing or causing unintentional offense but we weren’t able to come up with anything. We are American and English is our only language. My fiancé has a religious sleeve tattoo and we both were wearing cross necklaces…was this it? We weren’t sure. There are many cultural differences but we embrace those as we chose to come to Egypt to experience something other than our norm. That being said, every other interaction we have had during our time in Egypt other during our stay has been positive.

Dahab was beautiful and we wished we had more time to spend soaking up the Red Sea…just not at Happy Life Village.

This hotel is fine, as you can expect from typical Egyptian hotels:
food is not the best, but enough good for being full, no good internet connections, swans from towels, and a few pools.

People who like the sea can be satisfied to see red lionfish and muraena, warm water, and a nice view. To pluses of this hotel, I can add the location, cuz it's no far away from Dahab city and the hotel gives a free bus every evening for a few hours.

On the other hand, the hotel's administrators are not professional and friendly, water slides for kids are not really big and interesting.

We had a great time and meet some awesome people. The staff is so fun and friendly. The food is eatable, but if you are a vegetarian - you’ll eat rice and fries. But there are nice places in Dahab and you can get a free bus from the reception three times a day.

There is a nice coral reef just at the shore. I saw an octopus and heard about the turtle but didn’t see one.

We came home last week from a fantastic 2 week holiday in Happy Life Village. This was our first holiday with my husband having to use a wheelchair and we were nervous about how it would work out. From arriving to departing we couldn’t have been happier with the help we received! Everyone went out of their way to assist us, in particular the young man in the yellow top who pushed the chair over the cobbled poolside area several times a day. I’d also like to thank the waiter who brought me a cup of peppermint tea because he heard me coughing.
Our only disappointment was that the wheelchair couldn’t cope with the sandy path down to the beach so we couldn’t access that. It’s an observation rather than a complaint as I know it only affects a tiny minority of guests.
Many thanks for all the help in making our holiday so enjoyable. We would certainly like to return!

1) Very comfortable big rooms
2) beautiful nature around: the hotel is 5 minutes walk to dive site The 3 pools and 20 by shore walk to dive site The Caves. All are ok for snorkeling.
House reef is ok.
3) Very good food in all inclusive. A lot of meat, vegetables, sweets. The work of restorant and service staff team is excellent.
4) Very helpful staff on hotel reseption. Big thanks to reseption manager Bassam - he helped me in everything need and little big more))
5) regular free bus service to Dahab
I enjoyed my stay in 100 %.

Reception staff helpful but only once you have worked everything out yourself. No English at all in the 2 weeks we stayed at this hotel. Restaurant staff lovely. Always very friendly. Hotel manager so miserable. No sun beds available by the bar pool, pool boy must have been paid to put peoples towels down as all taken by 7am. Rooms are very dated, beds are rock hard. Staff trying to sell you massages, beauty all day long and can be quite pushy. Excellent beach for snorkelling but very gritty and dusty. Best beach is Laguna which is a 10 minute cab ride 150 Egyptian pound. Free shuttle to the town of an evening which was brilliant. The pool with the slides was good for the kids but dangerous broken pool lights hanging in the pool. Never fixed the whole 2 weeks we were there. Food was ok. Not a huge choice and not the best for kids. Quad biking, camel rides were good prices. We also walked down to the beach shacks and booked a fishing trip with a local guy, really enjoyable. Dahab town is nice, good restaurants and stalls. Not bad prices at all. No wifi apart from in reception although signal was very poor for the duration. Overall good value for money, we had a lovely time and made the most of our holiday by getting out and about.
