This is a really nice place where to stay at a good price, good staff, clean rooms, very good location, practically it is in front of the sea.
Rooms are not so modern, but the most important : clean!!
Not so happy about the breakfast but really at the end of our stay, we have a totally positive feedback!!
We will be back and we can recommend absolutely this hotel!!
I've taken photos of the rooms and hope this represents what others have had. It was small, but clean. The door and window kept banging because I was fortunate enough to have a room right on the sea. Nothing that a little folded up newspaper couldn't fix by wedging it in the cracks. The bed was comfortable and linen clean. TV didn't have any English speaking shows and was one of the older style big tv's mounted on the wall. No remote either. There was a little bar fridge but it didn't keep things very cold.
Shower wasn't great and the water was salty. It's quite cramped because of the placement of the toilet and sink but hey, it wasn't a big deal. They have cute little sandbags for signs on the door for Do Not Disturb or Clean My Room (see photo). The room had a deadbolt on the door. Nice! Luggage rack in the room was useful. Lots of plugs in the room to charge your electronic devices.
This hotel is tired. It needs a good makeover. The foyer is simple and the only place to get wifi. My luggage was taken to my room but not brought back when I left. The paving is uneven and makes is challenging to get a wheelie bag from one point to another on the grounds. The pool looked great but again, tired and needs some work. All the wooden deck chairs are showing signs of rotting and the cushions faded with a bit of a smell. There is a dive shop with a guide available near the pool. Our group didn't use them. As experienced divers, they didn't feel their attention to safety was very good.
There is a comprehensive massage service at the hotel but didn't use it. I'd heard good reports though.
The dining room is big but the breakfasts weren't great. One morning it was just bread and tea and a few items such as cheese and tomato. Another morning I was offered an omelette, there was yoghurt and juices. There is a billiard table in there and constant music playing. Pity the wifi didn't extend into the dining hall as there were more comfortable couches in there.
Had the hotel do some laundry and it was very well done. Took 24 hours. Be careful that they don't overcharge you. The price list said one thing and the guy at the desk tried to charge me more. About L.E. 2 per item.
The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the hub of Dahab - walk out the front of the hotel and turn right. Or go to the promenade on the Red Sea side and turn left.
There are two liquor stores on the left side going into the hub of Dahab. Buy your alcohol here. The owners don't mind you bringing in your own and you can take it into the restaurants as well.
Most of the good restaurants are in the hub area but close to the hotel are Yum Yum and a few other good local food joints that offer great value for money.
ATM's: There are many in town and about three within 200 metres. They look old and clunky but they do work.
Disabled Access: It's good in Dahab generally. There are some rooms on upper levels so ask for something on the ground floor. The uneven pavements can make it sometimes challenging.
Toilet Facilities: Between the foyer and the dining room there are clean toilet facilities for guests.
Transport: Taxis are around but you don't really need them, just walk.
Parking: There is room for parking a vehicle or small bus nearby.
Overall you get what you pay for at Dyarna Hotel. It's clean, comfortable and simple.
I really liked this hotel. It is a basic accommodation and should be reviewed as such. The rooms were big and clean with a cute balcony (great view) and I never had an issue with hot water.
The pool area was very nice and loved sitting, relaxing and watching the sunrise.
The breakfast was not the greatest but there are plenty of very cheap options nearby. ( Yum Yums was my favourite!!)
WIFI in Egypt in general is not the greatest so I have a Vodophone SIM to use when I come to Egypt. 250LE will set you up nicely for where ever you go.
The service was excellent. The staff were kind and courteous and their English was great.
I loved that it was located on the walkway that can take you essentially anywhere in Dahab. I love to walk so this is an added bonus.
I recommend this property to those that enjoy an authentic experience rather then luxury and I will personally stay here again.
No water in the room when I checked in , dirty sheets and pillows. Staff is rude and unprofessional. Checked out after 8 hours there even thou I payed for 2 nights.
I went out, The room was locked and the sign 'do not disturb' was on the doors. Therefore nobody should be in the room but somebody opened the doors and stole my money.
It could be only somebody who works in the hotel and has the spare keys as the room was locked!!!
Hotel manager didn't care at all and said that I lost it and told me to look for it!
Very rude people and thefts!
Excellent restaurants on the promenade and in the rear street within easy walking distance.
Lovely pool and area to relax.
Very helpful staff ..
Very good prices ...
Such amazing hotel is suitable for refreshing and specially for couples and those who wanna enjoy the nature and calm climate.
The food is very good :)
I will go there again and again :)
