Great location, brilliant staff and really great food. Nothing was too hard and the room was perfect. The guides make sure you have a great time and enjoy the islands of paradise. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

It is without question, that the Red Mangrove Sea Lion residents are the star of the show! As soon as you arrive, you can see about 6-8 sea lions lounging on the deck chairs!! Some of them are even cuddling with each other! IT is amazing and the best sea lion scene on Santa Cruz. If you sit on the... More

I am at a loss for words for how amazing/beautiful Red Mangrove is! The customer service was great and the facilities were wonderful! I would say if you want your sleep do not get a room by the sea lions they love making noise around 5am-6am. Also, if you want to see sea lions up close and iguanas this is... More

We stayed here as part of a larger trip. The hotel was quaint and nice. However, Pablo our Naturalist was wonderful! He was hilarious. The other Pablo, who we lovingly refereed to as Pablo 2, was wonderful. We were part of a larger group with some folks who were a bit older. They couldn't do some of the activities, but... More

Background: Stayed here as part of a land tour in conjunction with staying at their sister lodge in Isabella. This hotel was booked by our travel agency. It is over priced. We asked for first class and upon arrival, we had an upstairs room called "azul" room which was spacious, had a balcony overlooking the harbor. But you have to wait for ten minutes for hot water and it was only a trickle. The sea lions and the iguanas... More

The place seems to be the best in Puerto Ayora. The best views to the ocean. The rooms has large windows, we enjoyed all time watching the ocean. The Rooms are big and clean. Perfect place to stay, incredible prices!

Awesome place although we were a lillte bit dissapointed by the quality of the rooms, really tiny and with no windows at all..at least the ones we were offered. Since i am a llte bit claustrophobic they offered another place like 1 km away from the central bulding...but it has nothing to do with the lodge.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. Beautiful location, great food, friendly & attentive staff, clean and full of character. The real bonus was the animal life that shared the hotel with you. A unique experience and loved every minute. The Darwin footsteps tour was well organised and covered the important parts of the trip. Our guide (Ron) was ace, really... More
