We stayed here four nights during our recent visit to the Galapagos. El Bambu is clean, cute, safe and away from the "hustle" of the downtown area and port. (There's really not much of a hustle on this island, it is quaint and relaxed). An easy walk to most everywhere. A little closer to the entrance to Tortuga Bay than... More

To help anyone looking to stay heri thought I'd share how to get here as we found it difficult. If you get the bus from the ferry/canal you need to determine if you have been dropped at the bus station (which is out of town) or at the port. Our bus was at the port. You walk up the main... More

This place is run by a friendly young couple. The lady speaks good English, the man is veryhelpfull and can arrange boat tickets. The rooms are spacious, with AC and a good shower. As they don't service breakfast you have to arrange your own, but there are plenty of shops around and going to the bakery in the morning is... More

A little bit disappointing. A friendly welcome and a spacious main room with funky decor and very necessary air-con. Small bathroom not quite as pleasant, although perfectly functional and clean. Flaking paint on ceiling and bathroom wall, tape wrapped around shower curtain rail, flimsy room door and lock (Room 1 - the only one with a sliding door), although felt... More

We stayed here 3 nights . The room was spacious and clean , however bath as well as toilet had no separation from the room itself. This was really strange and not convenient. If we were to pay for this room about 40 dollars we were probably be happy with it ... But since we paid almost twice , we... More

We stayed here twice whilst in the Galapagos. The owner was so sweet to us throughout our stay and speaks excellent English. She was so helpful - providing a full briefing when we arrived including maps and complimentary drinks. Whenever we needed help during our stay she went out of her way to assist. The rooms are very spacious and... More

This is a nice place to stay for a trip to puerto ayora. Host was very friendly... Did not speak English, but most people don't. Very short walk to great restaurants and quick walk to beaches. My only problem was no breakfast included. Right around the corner you can find some great spots for any meal though.

We really enjoyed our stay at the El Bambú Galapagos Inn in Puerto Ayora on the Island of Santa Cruz. This is a newly opened place on the west edge of town in a quiet neighborhood, but within a 5 minute walk to the Main Street and about 10 minutes to the docks. The rooms are very clean with their... This is a small hotel offering comfortable rooms at a decent price. It is located close to the entrance to Tortuga Playa and directly above some public tennis and basketball courts. Sabastian and his staff were very responsive when we had needs, the rooms are spacious and clean, it is very quiet (with the delightful exception of children´s laughter in... More
