The location couldn't be more perforce. 2 min walk to Darwin reserve with tide pools and lots of Darwinian stuff- old and young turtles, iguanas and more. My caleta is super spacious had 3 rooms to ourselves. With stocked kitchen, very comfortable dining area and quiet gardens to sleep in the hammock. Rod knows everybody on the island and connected...

We were a party of 5, not all arriving on the same flight, and wanting a place where some could catch some shut-eye while waiting for the rest of us to arrive. The Mi Caleta Inn fit the bill. The host helped us arrange a taxi, with the driver waiting for us with name sign in hand, when we arrived...

We took the taxi straight to the hotel after getting off the ferry from Baltra. We had a room with 2 comfortable beds, powerful air-con, and kitchenette. There was a huge bottle of drinking water provided, and the room was spotless. Our host Rod, started calling his friends for us--we arrived Easter night without any prior booked tours--and found us...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights for our first stop in the Galapagos and surprisingly we were the only people staying in the hotel. The inn is located about a 4-5 minute walk from the Main Street and is in a quiet area. The rooms are simple, but have AC which is helpful. The wifi is very...

Rod speaks incredible English and owns a lovely place. From the moment we arrived, Rod went out of his way to help us navigate the best parts of the island, and maximise our time. When we needed some clothes cleaned, he kindly did a load for free. When we left some bags (as we travelled to another island), he kept...

We had a great time at Mi Caleta. It's tucked back from the main area of Puerto Ayora, but if anything this was an advantage. The room was very nice and clean, with good aircon ( which was really useful). Esther was a delightful host, and offered all the advice/help we could ask for. There's a well stocked and spacious...

We stayed in the room with the kitchen and dining room (room #1). It was very nice indeed for our needs. The beds were comfortable, meticulously clean and there were plenty of necessaries provided in the kitchen, including a nice 5 gallon bottle of fresh water. Laundry service was included and highly efficient. Breakfast was very good! The A/C is...

Extremely hospitable! The woman who tidies up the rooms did laundry for me, included for free; the young man who makes the breakfast (also included) came an hour earlier to catch me and made what I like to eat! This safe home is in the "Eden" neighborhood! Rodrigo and Esther are hospitality personified!

We learned about Mi Caleta Inn through a friend of a friend, and we are very glad that we did! We knew nothing about Galapagos, or how to get around, and the innkeepers knew that and were very helpful. We emailed a bit before the trip, and the owner, Rod Jacome, set up a taxi for us, with the driver...

If this is your first time to the Galapogas, Rod's experience and resources are priceless. Literally. I doubt if we would have had the excellent experience we had without Rod's assistance. When Tame Air stranded us in Cuenca instead of continuing to the Galapagos, Rod did not charge us for the night we reserved, despite not cancelling within the timeframe...
