We hesitated in choosing Angermeyer since it requires the use of a water taxi to get to town and that was hard to envision having never been there. That turned out to be part of the charm of the experience! Its located on one side of the harbor so the view from the outside dining is of boats and huge... More

Beautiful property on the water just a short boat ride away from Puerto Ayora. Was such a tranquil setting and a great place stay whilst exploring. Breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff were very helpful. Would highly recommend

This beautiful hotel in an idyllic setting was the perfect place to end our stay in the Galapagos Islands. Our room was large, well appointed and had a beautiful view of the bay. We had a large balcony with comfortable seating. The staff were efficient and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is set up in the "cave" and there are tables... More

First, their staff is exceptionality responsive by email or the phone. One of the best in my travels to 90+ countries. Kim, Gema, Christian were always there to help me. Thank you all! Second, please do read the official description. One does have to take a 2-3' water taxi to get to and from the hotel. Same with Finch Bay.... More

The Galapagos islands are truly a unique place and The Angermayer Waterfront Inn a perfect place to base yourself whilst exploring the island of Santa Cruz. The position right beside the water is like having a front row seat to a constant show from the marine and bird life in front of you. Pelicans, Blue footed boobies and Frigate birds... More

We found this a great hotel. We had a very large "cottage" type room with a king bed and 2 singles, a small kitchen. We had one grandchild with us and could easily have had another. It was very clean. We liked being a little away from the activity of the town, but with easy access there on the frequent... More

It is a charming white hotel that must be access by water taxi 0.80 in the day; but the animals you see in the dock are priceless Great view, good attention and charming place, food is expensive but good, it is worth to pay for a bigger room Must improve the wifi

it truly is a waterfront inn, needing a water taxi to get there. the setting, decor and atmosphere are all wonderful. the staff is well-trained and very helpful. Buffet breakfast is excellent and our dinners also excellent complete with a visit from the chef. My room was on the smaller side but very comfortable with a view of the water.... More

By far the nicest, best service, fantastic food and perfect spot to have brakfast or lunch or the perfect romantic dinner. Food fresh and delicious, well presented. Service professional and kind. Love this place. We spent two out our four nights in the island. Totally recommended. The albacora is fantastic and Shrimp bisque the best ever

We stayed here for 1 night on a Friendly Planet tour. The hotel is right on the water-you take a water taxi to get there and then get off at the dock to access the hotel. The rooms were large with a great air conditioner that you controlled with a remote. The views are incredible-we saw reef sharks and sea... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are situated right at the waterfront, which provides a splendid view of the bay and the interior of the island of Santa Cruz – as well as a convenient place for taking a swim. The final phase of construction was finished in 2009, and our hotel is a natural first-choice for quality travellers. A short 100 meter walk along a path takes you to a small beach. There is an ocean view from 13 of the 16 rooms. Due to the restrictions of the National Park it is not possible to walk to the hotel. Instead it can easily be reached by a 2-minute water-taxi ride right to our door. We have a beautiful wooden deck built out over the water where we serve lunches as well as dinner by candlelight. From the deck we often see sea turtles, sea lions and iguanas swimming past. Pelicans, frigate birds and blue-footed boobies are always our visitors. We offer full bar service as well. ... more   less
