We had two tents, family vacation, several days, with a dad, daughter 30, and son 13 who is especially interested in nature, birds, lizards, plants, and turtles. Most remarkable is that the staff were so 150% dedicated, meetings each returning guest each day at the entryway, offering cold fresh-squeezed blackberry juices and the like, and offering snorkeling gear, maps, advice,...

This stunning hotel set up in the mountains is a wonderful way to feel closer to nature. Keep in mind it's a long way from town and that there is animals but only a few birds so don't expect a whole safari. It takes it's concept from the African safari camps and each tent is totally luxury with running water,...

Thank You JonnyDodge for your wonderful comments and your good advice. It is correct that the day yacht trips to surrounding uninhabited islands need to be booked with us in advance and that including these makes for a more complete Galapagos experience. We appreciate you taking the time to share your satisfaction with the TripAdvisor community.

Loved this place and sorry we were there only one night. Great location. Beautiful and very comfortable accommodations, which I understand, to my surprise, are being upgraded. Good food and very warm hospitality.

Thank you for your contribution. We wish you were able to spend more time with us also. Yes, we are in fact doing a complete refurbishment and upgrade of all the tents in September, which will dramatically enlarge both the living area and patio, upgrade the bathrooms with ceramic tiles and also include a sitting area and ceiling fans. You...

Let me first start off by saying the Staff especially Katrien was absolutely great. Katrien was there 24/7 to help us with anything that we needed. She is a real gem.. If I knew that the weather ( because it is in the mountains ) would be raining and foggy almost 100% of the time we would not have opted...

Dear Ann- We thank you for taking the time to share your experience and sincerely wish that you would have left as pleased as your friend Amanda that referred you. As you already mentioned about the weather, March (when Amanda was here with her family) is a very dry and mild time of year, as is most of the year...

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2015. The accommodation, food (apart from a slight, uncharacteristic glitch on the third night) and idea are excellent. Katrien is a professional and friendly host. The bread - home baked - was voted by the family as possibly the best we have had. Cocktails, the Lodge and the service were also highlights. The...

Dear Chris- Thank you for your contribution. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. If I remember correctly, you did not have any "activities" or excursions planned with us on arrival after disembarking your cruise, but we were able to provide last minute solutions for you when you expressed interest in being more active. Our second stop in our Ecuadorian adventure. We chose the safari lodge as I don't enjoy boat travel very much. Plus it offered very similar accommodation to our African safari's After a relatively short flight from Quito we landed on the island of Baltra then a short drive & ferry crossing to Santa Cruz. From there we were met by...

Dear Nette- Thank you for your very descriptive review on your stay. We appreciate it. Yes, the tents will almost double in size in September and add sliding glass doors, ceiling fans, remodeled bathrooms, etc. We are really excited about the changes we are about to make. Again, thank you for your contribution to the TripAdvisor community.

We stayed at the Safari Camp for 3 nights after a three night cruise. It was a really nice change being in the highlands and the lodge and our tent had a great outlook over the island and sea and distant islands. The tents are comfortable - beds are a little firm but the staff are happy to add a...

Dear Go55- Thank you for your kind feedback. We love the enthusiasm. We do know how wonderful our Katrien is and also our chef Wilson was very proud to hear your comments. My wife and I took our 3 kids on a trip to the Galápagos Islands and had to decide between going on a cruise or staying on land and doing daily excursions. Because of a number of reasons, including having sons that are 6'7" and 6'8", we decided that the ship idea wouldn't be the best. We are glad we...

Dear Evan- You win the award for the tallest family we have ever hosted! We are flattered that you enjoyed the food so much that you would put it on par with a nice NYC restaurant. We decided to make day trips out to explore the Galapagos. This hotel was one of the best reviewed and unique kind of stay which is why we decided to spend our time in the Galapagos here.
