This hostel is in a silent corner of the island, with a garden full of flowers, and hammocks under the shadow of the trees, with clean and spacious luminous rooms. The owner of the hostel Mrs Laura is really helpful for all your questions, the breakfast is not included but it's possible to use the clean kitchen, to prepare what... More

We had an amazing stay at Casa de Laura. Laura was very nice, helped us book trips and taxis. Even though we spoke english and she only spoke spanish we were able to figure everything out. Room is nice and clean, basic amenities, including a/c, but that is all you need while here on San Cristobal.

We spent a few nights at the hostal and stayed in different rooms. Very lovely courtyard and nice hostess. However, the day before we left Galapagos, my husband and I got multiple insect bites overnight. Just check your room before move in.

Good, clean and spacious lodgings a few minutes walk from the main port. We spent 2 nights here and while it was a little more expensive than other places we enjoyed the garden and room. The manager even let us use some bowls for our cereal as we did not see a common kitchen for use. The manager was a... More

This hostel is just outside of "downtown" San Cristobal and was our favourite accommodation in all of the Galápagos. The rooms are huge with fridges and microwaves and the entire place is beautifully decorated by the lovely Laura with bright colours and quirky figurines. Along with the jaw dropping garden courtyard, the best part is Laura herself. Incredibly sweet and... More

Located close to everything but it has a beautiful garden oasis. Room was basic enough but clean and comfortable, which are the main criteria for me. Laura is a welcoming host and gave a good price on the room. It was a quiet time of year when I was there but I can imagine it is very popular in the... More

On 12 May 2016 I requested a room by e-mail. I got a confirmation by e-mail on the same day. The day after I got another e-mail saying that no room was available. I asked for explanation and I was told simply that the situation changed the day after..No apologies, not even a story to justify what cannot be justified,... More

I stayed here with my mother for a few days. Laura and her husband Tomas were extremely helpful on all fronts, giving us good information on where to go on San Cristobal as well as the best ways to get from A to B. Laura in particular was extremely friendly and helpful. Our rooms were always spotless, showers always had... More

I highly recommend La Casa de Laura. It is such a great place. We paid USD 20 per person and for the service you get it is a great price. I loved the atmosphere there. It has a beautiful garden where you can relax in hammocks. Also to the centre it is just 5 minutes by feet. The owner is... More
