Nicely hidden away with a beautiful garden it is the place to relax. Great breakfast, whole day coffee or tea and a perfect kitchen you can use, made us stay longer than first planned. And good wifi and two different lounge areas! This is more a high-end hostel with only

A bit difficult to find, but when we found it is was just like a small paradise. This awesome yellow house with a big nice garden full of exotic fruit trees and flowers and a lot of hummingbirds. Also the two labradors where very friendly and calm. My friend was sick and they

About 5 mins walk into Cotacachi centre, the Yellow Guest House is a wonderful home away from home! The house was clean and very comfortable. The caretakers José and Narcissa are friendly and welcoming and super helpful! The host, Tomás was fantastic, he arranged everything I

Yellow Guest House is on outskirts of town but within a 10 minute downhill to downtown. Very quiet location except for the occasional rooster. For those not inclined to walk, Evelyn (the hostess) will call a taxi that charges $1.25 to town (price as of April 2016). YGH has a

We loved our short time here as it is beautiful, quiet (with the exception of neighborhood roosters), clean and had firm beds. I was most blown away by the unexpected hair dryer in the bathroom which is a first for me in Ecuadorian hostels. The property is lush, the 2 resident

What are the prices for the rooms , I do not see any information about the price.
We paid 50usd inc breakfast for our room which we felt was not good value as there are many hotels actually in the town which do not seem to be on the iternet. They are cheaper and better standard but less of a family feel to the yellow house. Note the yellow house is out of town and even with fluent spanish and a local cab driver we had issues finding it.

"If no one else is there a shared bath is just like your own private bath."
"The rooms have names rather than numbers posted on their doors. The only room without a name has a separate entrance outside the house proper, away from the TV, the dining table and whatever other guests may be in residence."
"Ask for a room with a private bath."
"Some rooms come with their own bathrooms but you can get a discount for sharing a bathroom in the hall. We used this option for our teenage son. We preferred to stay in a room that was outside of the main house though connected because we thought it would be quieter. It was a room that could actually sleep more than two. The bedroom with a queen bed was next to the living room with the TV. We were afraid that if we wanted to go to bed early, it would impact those that might want to stay up later socializing in the common area. There really isn't a bad room. And Tomas will be very helpful in helping you figure out the best option for you and your family."
"We liked our upstairs room with private bath."
