I was for the first time in this hotel, as I was always staying in 4-star ADRIATIC. I was surprised, when I arrived at 11 am (the checking in time is 2 pm) and I got immediatelly a beautiful, clean room with the balcony and the sea view. The bathroom was small, but clean and with all facilities. I only missed in the room a mini fridge and a safe, but you can't get it always in 3-star hotels, even in other parts of Europe. I was on half-board and the food at buffet for breakfast and dinner was good, abudant and well presented. The only remark: the juice at breakfast (especially the orange one!) can't be called juice, it is coloured water! But it's the same in many hotels all over the world, even of higher cathegory! The pool and the whole wellness area are great. I am sure I am back to this hotel.

We are a family with two little children and we have stayed here for 3 nights. When you arrive you might have a little bit of a parking problem, because you can not park in front of the main entrance and there are about 20 steps to reach the reception. So we had to find parking spot first and the transfer all our luggage to our room. Our room was really big so the children had enough place to play. There was also a big LCD TV in the room with lots of international chanels and free WIFI. We had half board. The food was pretty basic. Every evening there was a chicken/turkey dish, a pig/beef dish, a fish dish and pasta/rice dish. There were about 5 types of salad available and few deserts. The breakfast was also pretty basic. There was no vegetables for breakfast. The hotel is connected with the wellness area in a building next door. The pool is really great!! there was a big swimming pool with lots of bubbles and massages and also a lot of space for those, who would like to swim. on part of the pool is 25m long and is meant for swiming. There are also two jacuzzis. There is a salt water in a pool. The big pool had a temperature of 30°C and the jacuzzi had the temperature 34°C. If you would like to have a pool in your hotel you should really pick this hotel, because the pool area is really great. The staff was nice. The cleanlines of the hotel is not on the highest level. Sometimes I have seen some stains on fresh white towels, but it didn't bother me very much. All in all we liked the hotel because of the very big room and great pool area. The food was basic, but we were never hungry.

It is one small hotel near the end of the Opatija but still close enough for walking to the center. Rooms are not to big, the furniture is really old but the sheets are clean as well as bathroom.... And of course reasonable price per night !! Food is better than hotel looks and stuff is very kindly!! This hotel I definitely recommend for people who want to take a rest (quite), and of course for those who like enjoy in excellent wellness.... Wellnes is on 3 floors......great Hotel is connected with wellness with tunnel so there is no problem when weather is not so good!! One more thing.....parking.....on the street, extra charge and in peak of season hard to get.

My husband and I stayed at the Villa Dubrava during our visit to Opatija. The hotel operates within the framework of Thalassotherapia Opatija, which is a health and wellness center. Our room at the Villa Dubrava was quite small, and was clearly dated. It was sparsely furnished, with one queen-sized bed, a small desk, and an ensuite bathroom (which was also showing its age). However, what the room lacked, the adjoining wellness center made up for. As guests of the Villa Dubrava, we were allowed complimentary access to the Center's pool and whirlpool. The pool area was the cleanest I have ever seen. The water was crystal clear, the deck was clean and dry, and the whirlpool was lovely. My husband and I also made massage appointments and the center, which were also fantastic (but not free). The breakfast buffet at the hotel also scored some points with us, as the buffet included a large variety of bread, cereal, cold cuts, cheese and hot food. The hotel itself is located at one end of the Opatjia strip, and is about a 10 minute walk to the center of the tourist area. In some ways, we found the location quite nice, as the hotel was quieter than some others that were right in the middle of the action. Overall, our stay at the Villa Dubrava was mixed; the room definitely left much to be desired, but the Wellness Center's amenities were a welcome perk.
