2 of us stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour in May 2019. Located on edge of town near marina. Town walkable. Room was warm (too warm) and spacious with a good balcony overlooking marina and Adriatic. Balcony well protected from elements and fully lit. Bed was comfortable, there was a safe, fridge, good shower and hair dryer. Plenty of mirrors and power points, well lit. But no tea making facilities and no water with meals (unless you bought a bottle). Lifts very good and spacious. Restaurant very much like a school refectory. Meals were self service buffet style. One night the drinks waitress could not keep up with the number of customers, so we never even got asked for our drinks order. We weren't alone. Staff frienldy enough. Bar overlooking the sea with piano player. And an ample supply of umbrellas, required given the weather at the time. Seen worse, would probably go back.

I apreciated the cleanliness, friendly staff and the good food in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The view from the balconies is really beautiful. There are plenty of parking places and it is close to Opatija city center. I expected the hotel facilities to be more polished... the bath of my room had fixtures that were rather old. It would make it much more welcoming of they would improve some small things.

The attitude of the staff resulted in our stay resembling a bad Balkan comedy. They completely ruined our short stay in Opatjia. First, the bellhop insisted on taking our luggage to our rooms. We said it is not necessary, but upon arrival to the room we understood why. He went into the room with us and refused to leave. He stayed in there for a few minutes, making ridiculous small talk - all the while waiting for the tip. We felt really uncomfortable, I have never experienced anything like it. The next problem was the parking. The receptionist told us that there is not parking space in the hotel garage, as the parking in the hotel is conditional upon availability and that it functions on a first-come first-served basis. We asked if we could park in the hotel the next day and he assured us that we can. After we insisted that he makes a reservation he in fact made one and said he would make sure that his colleagues tomorrow receive the note. Much to our dismay, the next day his colleagues have in fact not received the note and the garage was again full - guests who have just arrived were given the free spaces and our reservation was lost. Thankfully, one of the older receptionists insisted that he would take care of the situation and in fact managed to find us a parking space in the garage; the yourger receptioninsts looked like they couldn't care less. The attitude of the staff in the dining room was even worse. The greeter assured us that all drinks should be ordered with the waiters. We had no problem ordering water and wine (except for the fact that the waiters were avoiding/ignoring us), but when we wanted to order coffee after dinner, the older waiter said "ah, you have to order that at the hotel bar upstairs". When I asked, if it is possible for him to order coffee for us and they bring it downstairs, he loudly started making gestures and said "yeah, I can maybe order but I don't know if they will bring it down", and ran away, ignoring our request altogether. The level of talk amongst the waiters is extremely unprofesional, they keep making remarks about guests in Croatian, not to mention that they litterally take your plates and mugs infront of you even if you are still eating! All in light of the fact that they want to clean up as soon as possible and go home. They make you feel really unwelcome, whereas their conversation and attitude is really acustom only to a cheap tavern, and definitely not a four star hotel. In addition to this, every day, a woman burst into our room in the morning, not even knocking - she was there to refill the mini bar. One day she woke me up and when I opened the door she was literally running and was already at the end of the hall. I never experienced anything like it. I later confronted her and she said she was sorry but she does not know when people are in their rooms and she needs to refill the minibar. I told her that she should in any event not come before check out time unless the reception says a room is free because she actually woke me up, whereas I paid to get some rest in this hotel. And in any event, she should at least knock and give the guest a chance to answer the door before bursting in. I could list a bunch of other similar situations (including the fact that the young receptionists said he cannot give us our passports back because we could "run away"), but in general I can say that the attitude and level of unprofessionalism at this hotel really ruined my short vacation. The staff really seems like they don't care about you at all, they act like they just want to get the hell out of there as soon as possible. I will definitely never come back and I do not recommend a stay at this hotel to anyone. For these prices you are better off staying at other 4 or 5 star hotels in Opatija.

A decent hotel worth four stars. Pleased, spacious room, comfortable bed, well equipped bathroom and beautiful view from the terrace. Breakfast was fine, coffe not so good. The dinner was very good, but the tuna was over cooked and bought frozen in the commercial grocery store.
