If your looking fir a grand old hotel with 16 foot ceilings, this one’s for you. The rooms are really large with nice balconies overlooking the sea. The bathrooms are well appointed and work well. Our rate included a buffet breakfast like some Sunday buffets you would see in the USA with so many different stations from hot to cold. It even has an area across the street on the water offering chaise lounges and umbrellas. It might even have bar service - we were not there long enough to experience it during the day.
We liked all about the hotel - staff, wellness, location, view, breakfast. The only big problem was dinner - all hot dishes were terribly over salted. For us it was almost impossible to eat, and no way to fix it.
We have just completed a 10 day stay at this beautiful beach hotel .on arrival we were greeted in the stunning entrance and welcomed by efficient staff. Our room was smaller than expected from pictures on the Web site and had no bath , which I would have preferred but it was comfy and the bed was very comfortable. The air con was excellent and quiet. Our cleaner was superb. Only downside was the sloping window ceiling which we did bang our head on so for someone tall this would be an issue. Breakfast was outstanding and free sunbeds helped keep the cost down if you got up quick to get your ticket.all in all a great stay.
We spent a week in the Palace Bellevue and really enjoyed it. True, it is on the promenade and thus on the evening show strip where wannabee Ferraristi and bikers revv up to show off the volume of their engines to compensate for the emptiness in their heads. While the interieur is freshly painted, the room is clean and pretty, facing the promenade with the veranda beeing shared with families of busy swallows pacing around from dawn to dusk. The double doors take most of the noise and the view from the veranda over Slatina Beach and the Adriatic Sea is priceless. Sure, some elements dating back to the Austrian Empire are still there, the balcony doors need some paint, and a loose screw here and there do not spoil the enjoymend of the facade of this impressive building. The Staff is friendly and competend. Jasmin, the Restaurant Manager serves the best Beer outside of Germany and Valentino is a pleasure during breakfast and Dinner. The food is of good quality and variety, both buffett style, and when taking on the huge veranda also enjoyed by the pigeons and seagulls. The indoor pool is just great, albeit Saltwater and only reachable through the Restaurant or the Lobby in the sister building. Apparently the various Buildings are connected and share facilities which makes for longer trips to reach, for instance, the wellness area. parking is available on a lot about 300 m from the Hotel, unloading luggage a challenge because there is little room to stop your car and you need first to go up the stairs (18) to get to the Lobby and call the BellBoy. Denis at the Reception was very friendly and accomodating, and provided comprehensive information and support Needless to say, the surroundings and nearby landscape of this town are magnificent. To discover the Little hidden coves with their crystal clear waters require some adventureness, but once found, its close to paradise. All in All, a place to go, to stay and to enjoy.…
This hotel fully met our expectations. Staff is so attentive and always at guests disposal. Food offer is as it was made for royalty. We also had a great time in Cafe Strauss which is a part of this hotel, cakes there are great. Thank you all.
The hotel is on a nice location. The staff was very kind and always helpful. Breakfast was good and you could find various food. Room was comfortable and you can see that it has been mostly renovated, but unfortunately it was way too hot and took a long time to cool down. Also, the carpentry on the floor looked like it needs to be replaced. Overall I had a nice time and this is a great hotel for weekend getaways!
This is the place that could make you feel being a prince/princess. Indulge in the generous rooms and view at this place. Well serviced spa and lovely view! Yet the kitchen doesn’t entirely meet these standards – salt seems to have been run out when we stayed. The stay is attentive, but could also be a bit more service orientated. Some review mention that the hotel has no parking. That is a fact and we were made aware of that when booking – there are enough parking-places around (at least in October). One thing: Rather go for the cheap rooms looking AWAY from the sea: As all the balconies are crowded by heavy smokers practically throughout day and night, you end up with a room filled with smoke from cigarettes.
Nice Hotel, rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is the normal. We also had a Dinner buffet which was excellent! Just a short walk across the street to the Lady with a Seagull Statue and the water.
the hotel is more than beautiful, it has outstanding appearance in Opatija. the room is very pleasant, we had a bigger room with bath, which is not necessary, but we were happy to be in a bigger room. the view from the room and the balcony is marvelous. I would be there forever. the staff and the service is also satisfiing. everyone was very handy. they helped us with the bike renting when the weather was not so good. the the proximity of the sea and the center gives more advantages to the hotel. on the last day I almost cried couse I did not want to go home. :)
We stayed at the hotel for four days, halfboard. It is situated in the center of Opatija. The food was excellent, the staff very friendly, at your service. We used the indoor pool and sauna. The room was spacious enough. We really felt relaxed - we will definitely come again.
