Spent the weekend at Golden Nugget. Check in was a breeze and although the hotel was quite full , we got a room not too far from the elevators. (1511). The room was a king sized bed and overlooking the hotel pool. Very clean room and comfortable bed. We were here for the boat show in the convention center. Breakfast and dinner at Michael Anthony's was very good. I still think there should be somewhere to get a bite to eat/coffee after 2AM. A shout-out to Rose in housekeeping. We thought we left house keys in the room after we checked out Sunday. Called housekeeping and Rose said she would handle it and call me back later. To my relief we found keys in pants pocket in luggage but we still received a call back from Rose that housekeeping found no keys in my room. I told her I appreciated her effort and the call back. Also a shout-out to our casino host Chris Merlino for all his help. Overall a pleasant weekend stay.…
The room was not cleaned or serviced for the 2 nd and third night.I had to phone housekeeping and ask for towels and when I asked why it wasn’t cleaned I was told “the hotel is full we are busy” Sorry not our problem .we book we pay and expect a service .So disappointed dreadful service an we certainly will not be back.If we expected no service in room cleaning we would have booked an air B&B Told hotel but reception were rude and passed the buck to house keeping .Emailed a complaint but got no response other than an automated email saying they would be in touch, which they didnt respond . The hotel is not cheap so so no cleaning and servicing is unacceptable..WHAT IS THE RESORT FEE FOR Will never go back
Nice hotel on the marina. The staff was friendly. Our king room was large, bed comfy and very clean. We had a nice view on the 23rd floor of Atlantic City. Despite the fact that we were originally told that we could not check in until 4 pm, our room was ready at 11 am. Absolutely loved the high flow shower. No luggage carts is the reason for 1/2 star deduction.
FREE PARKING VERY FRIENDLY /HELPFUL STAFF LOTS OF ONSITE RESTAURANTS & SHOPS FUN VENUE GREAT ENTERTAINMENT SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE DECOR IS NOT DATED CLEAN & WELL MAINTAINED WE NEVER FELT UNSAFE BUDGET FRIENDLY
We were invited to a Valentine's Day dinner held at the Grand ballroom. It was such a nice evening. The food was very good, and the drinks were plentiful. I really appreciated that the tables were spaced apart and not on top of each other and that there was only 10 people to the dinner which made it much more comfortable. All in all, it was a great evening. Thanks to all who put this event together - Well Done!!!
I spent one night mid week with my husband. With my players card I was given a complimentary upgrade to a mini suite. I asked the clerk to make sure it was a King bed. Got up to the room and it had 2 beds. Back down to the front desk and got new keys for another room which was a King. It was an OK room, but you can tell the room is dated. Plus the cleanliness was at issue because I found someone's empty water bottle behind the drapes when I closed them. There was also some paper wrappings on the desk left behind. There was a coffee pot and the makings for coffee, but no coffee cups. There were no cups in the bathroom. The next day I asked for an hour later check out and was told it was $20. I asked if it could be complimentary and was told everyone pays. I declined. I've never paid for a late check out in any other AC hotel, especially on a Thursday morning. All in all, they need to make some upgrades to rooms and beef up the housekeeping. Contrary to another post, I did not have to pay for WIFI. The casino, however is really nice. Very modern, new machines and I had a few wins.…
I’ve stayed at GN many times since it opened and was always happy with my stay. I’m also a big fan of their LV property. This is the first time I’ve come back to stay the weekend since 2019. This hotel seems a sad state of what it once was. Nothing has been updated in years and it shows. First on a Friday night there was zero security at the elevators Like there had been in years past. There is a $30 resort fee that doesn’t include the gym. I had to pay an additional $10 for that. My players card would not work at many of the machines. The hotel said their having issues with some of the machines but it seemed like every machine I tried it didn’t work. My husbands card also wouldn’t work at many machines. The rooms were clean but the pillows were horrible. Felt like they had been in the room since the hotel opened. The front staff was nice but that’s really all I can say. I understand AC has gone through hard times but as a frequent guest throughout the years I just can’t recommend this hotel to anyone. A few months ago I stayed in Ocean and I think that will be my go to hotel from now on.…
Your service will not work here so you have to use their wifi and they charge for it so no entertainment unless you pay for wifi after paying for your room so I wasn't comfortable and felt I didn't wanna give them my money just went to sleep and left and got a room at the hard Rock in the morning
At the Rush Lounge during the afternoon, a rude older Bartender ignored me for 8 minutes. While making my alcoholic beverage, he grabbed the lime with his ungloved hand and placed it in my alcoholic beverage lime. After making change, he threw the money on counter. He was sarcastic to to the other guest already sitting at bar. I had a great experience with the other Bartender but this one was awful.
Good morning/afternoon, I have been frequenting the Atlantic City Casino since I was in my 20's back In the 90s and I have seen my share of Security dealing with irate guests. But during my last trip to the Golden Nugget casino in August, there was one Security Supervisor, I believe his name was Dion. The way he carried himself and the professionalism he displayed was amazing. When the pit boss called security after this argumentative blackjack player yelled and screamed, Dion walked up to the blackjack table and asked the guy to come with him. After a minute, the guy apologized to everyone and left the casino with Dion. This is what we need. Dion was able to deescalate the situation without getting physical.
