Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The MGM Tower at Borgata earns commendations for its modern atmosphere and cleanliness, with guests frequently admiring the bright renovations and well-maintained rooms. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness are highlighted, although service issues have been noted by some visitors. While the rooms are praised for their spaciousness and aesthetics, guests have reported check-in delays and inconsistencies. Despite the appreciation for the hotel's amenities, there is a sentiment that the value is lacking, given the high costs and service concerns.

Room was clean and employees were helpful in locating a room as close to elevator as possible since my husband isn’t able to get around easily. Metropolitan restaurant was enjoyable and menu gave us a lot of options.

Decided to take a long weekend getaway to Borgata. The Water Club Hotel is immaculate. It seemed very safe around the property also. The room was beautiful and very quiet. The only thing I missed was a tub to soak my sore body in. If you get a chance give it a try. And also recommend The Old Homestead Steakhouse for a great dinner while there.

The hotel was clean and the rooms are very spacious. The staff was extra friendly and went out of their way to make our anniversary trip special. There were lots of options for dining ranging from formal to take out. We had a great trip and will come back soon!

Stayed in the MGM tower...very clean. Cleaning folks were very friendly. Would be nice to have envelopes in room for Cleaning folks tips. Parking area needs to be cleaned, lot's of trash on ground. Ate at American grill, food was very good, manager was pleasant and friendly. Computer kiosk were still down, when will they be fully functional? Plus resort fees were supposed to be waved at checkout but you took my comp dollars instead.

Renovations in the rooms were nicely done. I’m room was ready early. checking on the app was quick and easy. The renovation in the pool area was very nice. The only complaint would be there is no place to get coffee unless going all the way out into the casino area for 9 AM.

This was our third trip to the Borgata; our first, staying at the newly renovated MGM Tower. The room was lovely; slightly smaller than the ones over at the Borgata but very bright and comfortable. My only problem was the pillows. They are as thin as a wafer and not very supportive. I did request extra pillows which did the trick. As far as comparison, the MGM Tower has a nicer indoor pool than the one over at the Borgata. The MGM Tower is also in the process of building a brand new gym, which will be on the lobby floor. The MGM tower is more quiet than the main hotel. No lines at all at the front desk which we liked. However, it is a short walk through a hallway of retail stores to reach the main casino at the Borgata. The Borgata in general has an older crowd (like 70++) and is a bit more formal than the hotels down by the beach. Definitely more quiet, with fewer entertainment options. Many of the restaurants are closed during the week and only open Thursday through Sunday. Only one of the hotel bars was open the B bar was undergoing renovation. Our only choices for dinner were the expensive restaurants since the metropolitan is only open for breakfast and lunch (except on the weekend) so we wound up having dinner in the sports book one night, which was actually very good. We were very excited to see that the MGM tower has a little cart in the lobby that sells coffee and pastries. It meant that we wouldn’t have to walk all the way over to the Borgata baking company to get a morning coffee. But oops…the coffee cart is available weekends only. When we checked in on Monday, we would love to have had a snack and a drink at the sunroom, bar and restaurant in the tower. But same thing… Only open weekends. And most of the retail stores are closed during the week as well. As I mentioned, this was our third stay at the Borgata. It seemed that there were more places closed during the week this time, than during our other trips. This place is quiet; almost too quiet compared to other hotels. It makes me hesitate to stay here again. TLDR: the Borgata and MGM Tower are beautiful places to stay. However, you may not want to be there during the week since many of the bars and restaurants are closed.

This is a very simple hotel now - not the luxury Water Club redone. Our hotel room was very clean and simple. But no water bottles, no mini bar options, no robes, no tea (and really bad coffee). It is a clean, simple place to sleep and absolutely nothing more.

Stayed here for two nights for a business conference. Were given a room in the MGM Tower, which apparently was once called the Water Club. Our floor still smelled of new carpet from the apparent recent renovation. Room itself was spacious, and our room offered a great view of the marina. The bed was comfortable--closely approximating a Heavenly Bed. The gym is not 24/7 and is cramped and crowded, even on the weekend we were there. We were told that the gym for the other tower is under renovation, so that may explain the crowdedness, but it was difficult to find a treadmill or other cardio machine, let alone a dumbbell because of the high demand. There is no space for yoga or simple stretching. The gym aside, we tried several of the restaurants onsite (Sunroom and Metropolitan) and were happy with the service and the food, "resort" pricing notwithstanding. Not unexpected for a hotel in the NJ/NY region, the staff is not particularly friendly or outgoing.

Well, stay was perfect until I saw a lady wearing a white bra and black lace lingere with garter belt in the indoor pool. Thought swimming suits were the norm? Otherwise, all else top notch. Love the American Bar and slots. Will be back for more great fun!
