The hotel in general is well maintained. I do not recommend the cabins, since they are small and although they are in good condition, most have a limited view of small interior patios with trees that block the light, making them dark and not very pleasant, so We also asked to change to a room in the main building which changed the perspective of our stay, making it much more pleasant, the rooms are quite good. Although we went at the beginning of the low season, the hotel's activities are quite weak, so much so that it was better to continue enjoying the beach with the background music they play at the Chiringuito. The hotel has direct access to the beach with food and drink service (with extra cost), it is located outside the hotel center of Santa Marta, so the beaches are much less crowded. It is a great place to enjoy the tranquility of the sea. The buffet breakfast is good and varied, but the restaurant is expensive and of average quality, except for the pizzas which are at a good price, but in general we had lunch and dinner in the best restaurants in the historic center at a similar or lower value than the hotel restaurant. The cleanliness in general is excellent, we never had a problem with it. What I do suggest is that when you receive the room you check carefully that the minibar has all the products, since we found empty bottles upon arrival which we should have reported. The cost of the products in the minibar is excessive, so I do not recommend consuming it without checking the prices first. The attention of the staff is exceptional, all very attentive and friendly, from the reception to the restaurant staff and the waitresses, all a 10 out of 10. The attention of Yessica at reception and Andrés in the restaurant is notable. The hotel has an excellent location 15 minutes from the airport, the rooms are spacious and well-cleaned, the beach is semi-private and very quiet. The best thing about the restaurant, delicious coastal food, the recommended of the house is the Samario Snapper and the fish sancocho. Spectacular!

The hotel is nicely situated away on the Beach and away from the loud streets of Santa Marta but easy enough to get to in around 20 mins cab journey. Check in process was ridiculously long and the front reception staff were not that welcoming or informative. The rooms themselves let in a lot of noise and we’re not that sound proof. Trolleys were heard been moved around at all hours. The bathrooms were really narrow but the shower was great. The beds and pillows were also nice and comfortable. Mini bar had a very basic selection and the AC was good. Breakfast staff were lovely and the breakfast was good too. The pool bar staff were extremely rude and as a very limited Spanish speaker they made me feel very uncomfortable and I could see them talking about me and laughing. It was not a nice experience and the service there was very slow. Also watch out for your drinks tab as we ordered some and we’re charged but never received a round. The beach was nice and clean but the loungers were of cheap quality, we were harassed by the same beach vendors every two minutes and this is no exaggeration, the hotel should stop this as it ruins the beach experience.
All in all this is probably a 2/3* hotel and I wouldn’t book to stay here again which is unfortunate as the location is great.

It looked clean, the pools were small, in the morning they had to knock on the door two to three times to get in to look at the mini bar, then the lady who was looking after the towels came in and we gave her one and they never gave it back to us. and in the room there was a notice that if there were dirty towels they were to be left on the floor and if not they were to be hung but they were going to knock anyway) and then later the cleaning lady changed them so I didn't understand but I had never had the door hit so much in my life. a hotel for those things was a bit annoying, not all the staff were very friendly And I had a problem with a very rude waitress We ordered a dish and she told us that she had assumed that we had seen the bar menu before and brought us it was a dish from the bar that we did not want and at no time was it addressed to us well. I am a frequent customer of the Estelar chain and without fear of being wrong, we did not have the good experience that we normally have in these hotels. Initially we made the reservation for two rooms and paid in advance for the entire stay, however when we arrived, at the reception Mr. Gabriel wanted to charge us even more when I showed him the proof of payment, the screenshot of the reservation and the chat where they confirmed that the entire amount had been paid; Then, they gave us one of the rooms and it had strong humidity, we did not move because we were with an elderly person who was already tired and the other room took a long time to be delivered, they delivered it almost at 5 in the afternoon (We were on the beach and they never informed us if the other room was ready). In general, the rooms already need remodeling because they are damp, the furniture is mostly in poor condition or is very dirty. The amenities are limited, you have to request everything. The pool is also deteriorated and there are many cracks in steps, paths and showers.
