I enjoyed my stay in Casa Amani very much. It is in such a great location where you have all the nice restaurants nearby and in walking distance to the attractions in the historical center. It is a good base for a night stay before or after you go to Tayrona Park or lost city. The room I had was huge and clean. What I liked Casa Amani most was the hospitality of its staff. They helped me arrange minibus to Cartagena and were always there to help me. The breakfast they served was the most delicious to me during my stay in Colombia. A good portion of cereal with yogurt and fruits, fluffy omelet with tomato and cheese, toasted bread served with butter, jam and cheese, and fresh blended juice. This place is truly a little gem in Santa Marta.

We had a fantastic few days here. It has beautifully decorated rooms and a courtyard that catches the sun with a couple of deck chairs. The owner speaks useful English and the hotel is perfectly situated for walking around old Santa Marta. The breakfasts were the best.

If you are looking for an in-town experience and a comfortable clean quiet place to stay overnight, pick Casa Amani. The main entrance is a tall wooden door with a bell. Once you are inside, you see three rooms surrounding a small pool in the garden. The friendly and kind staff of one is the receptionist, concierge and breakfast server all in one. Amani is around the corner from the top local bars and restaurants, as well as the main tourist destination park (parque de los novios). Delicious breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel for any type of traveler. Just be prepared for heavy rain and flooding of the town during certain months.

Casa Amani is located in the heart of Santa Marta and couldn't have asked for more. We enjoyed very much the time spent here. The staff is wonderful, and Ms. Amalia is the best host ever. She helped us a lot an also advised us on various problems. We definitely recommend it.

It is so nice to walk into a hotel and be greeted with a warm smile and hot cup of coffee. And it never stopped. They are super courteous and friendly as they follow the lead of the owner/manager. The breakfast was tremendous. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of most everything to see and do. They helped arrange our bus to take us to our next location. It's a nice place to call home when at Santa Marta.

Centrally located in the old part of town, and close to the main beach, Casa Amani was a haven of tranquility for us before and after our 5 day hike to La Ciudad Perdida. We opted for a large room at the back of the Casa and it proved to be a good choice. The office of our Ciudad Perdida tour operator (Expotur) was literally around the corner from the Casa. And we really appreciated the fact the Casa had washing machines and washed our dirty clothes for us from hiking. Breakfasts were excellent. Best of all, Casa staff were very helpful and friendly. A truly lovely and tranquil place to stay.

We spend three nights at Casa Amani even though we were only supposed to stay there one night. We really liked the place. The breakfast was good and plentiful, and the rooms were nice and clean. We could always leave our bags at Casa Amani when we went on trips around Santa Marta. The staff was always helpful and showed us where to find different things. We stayed the entire day of departure after we checked out, and it was fine with the staff. I will definitely recommend this place!
